Sorry for spamming, but I watched someone elses video on the spark mini on getting a yngwie tone. They suggested using the plexi amp model instead of the yjm, oddly enough, saying that it sounded better. Try using a bit less gain on the sim and maxing out the controls on the pedal. After you get your basic sound, then add your eq block as the final step in the spark and use that to tweak your final sound to perfection! I'm not trying to tell you how to run your life. I have all DOD250 models, YJM308 and the new MXR. I like the MXR. It’s very similar to the YJM308 but a tad more gain.
MXR definitely sounds smoother to me too.
