You do realize burglaries widely go unsolved right? The vast majority of times a house is burglarized, cops are called for paperwork. Most don't get investigated even sometimes where there's a fatality. They wait till for a sting of robberies and for the robbers to slip up. Even less robberies are stopped in progress.
That is a verifiable reality.

@@texasmarine1746 Agressive over-policing is counterproductive. If there's so many police officers that they have nothing better to do than stop & provoke random drivers until they manage to rile someone up to meet their arrest targets, then they clearly don't need that many officers.
@@texasmarine1746 I agree with you here. Although I feel I’m more radical in believing there needs to be a complete overall of policing. Particular by having more social workers respond to crime rather then armed officers… If you don’t yet have the “better” or new reformed system in place, then having your old system crumble (due to so many officers leaving) is really bad.
I can’t say I feel sorry for them, or even that I wish they would stay, because I don’t. However, now is really the time to ramp up efforts in creating a better system, and I don’t really see that happening.
This is the trickery they use to make people think it is worse than it is. Thet still have over 1200 cops in Seattle & act like it isn't enough. Even if you gave them 100k cops, they would claim they are understaffed & need more money. The leadership in policing & using the resources wisely instead of spending like its Christmas everyday is the problem. Police waste so much money on unnecessary things but don't spend the money on proper training & de-escalation tactics. Instead they train officers to overpower & dominate instead of being human & having empathy.
