What I love about Swamiji is how he enables one to be masters of themselves without an external aid like a guru. His books are enough of a guide. He himself got enlightenment on his own without a guru and dispensing that knowledge is like a diamond in the ruff on this fast paced world. 🙏 PS: I would surely like to meet him and touch his lotus feet one day.

what is the kundalini mahamantra that swamiji is talking about? i read his book, i didnt find that mahamantra in the book. he said that colours and seed syllables are irrelevant , its the mahamantra that matters most.
I have recently Embarked on the practice of HATHA Yoga and experiencing the fruits of doing the work... really grateful for having come upon this series to deepen my understanding of the chakra system and the practices that are conducive to Kundalini awakening, and ultimately to higher vibrational living... Thank You! The example of the villagers in this short video have left me wondering whether i have missed something in the message. Up to that point, i was understanding the relationship between the root chakra, represented by the Earth element, and patterns of living. e.g., tired: rest, hungry: eat -- hence, we can reinforce our energetic connection to the root chakra at the expense of transformation (which comes from movement of energy to higher centers), which in turn comes from the sadhana. Ok... then this example of villagers with no experience of depression and their connection to their daily routine of tilling the earth simply didn't clarify the earlier exposition. I'd be most grateful if you or a one of the beautiful listeners on the channel could comment /clarify. Thank you in advance. 💜🌻
Hi Nancy. From my understanding He meant when we (or people) are mostly concerned about satisfying their needs and desires, creating new things etc., they are operating at the root chakra level, and the higher ones may not be activated yet. The more things we are blessed with, it seems the less satisfied we are. E.g Wealthy people who are past creating things, may have overcome the root chakra yet they are not as happy and hence the reference to depression. Whereas a villager, who may be poor (and happy too) who has a family to care for, is mostly concerned about fulfilling his needs and hence at the root chakra (and has no time to be depressed because it is a matter of making enough money to buy food or starving to death). Hence the reference. I grasped this thanks to Om Swami’s other videos titled untying the three knots or the one titled overcoming emotional hurdles or hurdles in life. You may enjoy those. That’s my understanding but I could well be wrong:)
