Great video guys. The roller disco venue is looking great, however the TV’s are a bit lost on the walls. I think a long video wall would look amazing. They can display not just cool graphics bus also music video’s and of course all sorts of advertising. Just look how football grounds manage exactly that. Great content, keep up the good work.

I’ve been following you since you had 6K followers, I bought my first soft play in 2020 when I was 23 and have now got another site which I’ve bought the property of and are looking to install a day nursery in. Seeing both you and your management team is helpful, put Aaron on more because it gives us more insight on the day to day challenges and maybe more insight on the conversations with your site managers would be great. I feel your pain mate, as a fellow retiree, I'd suggest you look into passive index fund investing and learn some more. For me, I had my share of ups and downs when I first started looking for a consistent passive income so I hired an expert advisor for aid, and following her advice, I poured $30k in value stocks and digital assets, Up to 200k so far and pretty sure I'm ready for whatever comes.
My advice: for newbies to grow financially this year, invest. Saving is good, but investing elevates your finances. Why newbie make huge losses on trade is because investing without proper guidance can lead to mistakes and losses. that will stop you from trading, this has been one of the biggest problem to new traders, I've learned this from my own experience

I can say from my experience owning a micro business, it's great having someone operating at a larger scale sharing the same challenges particularly with cash flow. Vertical integration was something we were working towards long-term! So many people don't show the realities of running a company and the strain it can have, but it's all worth it. One thing I struggled with was a vague structure with my former business partner and a lack of clear direction. The working relationship between you and Aaron is 100% the backbone of success and progress

As others have said, definitely the best format. I wonder how much you need to spend a year before it becomes worthwhile having a couple of engineers that float around the businesses doing repairs. Getting an in house mechanic for us would be game changer. What's your biggest expenditure across the businesses that you WOULDN'T bring in internally?

I have one niggle as someone from hospitality, when you were trying the ice creams behind the counter although youre doing everything right doesnt give the customer a good look, might have been better askinf a staff member to do it for you. Freeze drying would be a good idea for the consumable assets, you have the room and packing facilities, not many companies in the UK that supply good quality long term storage options for food
What affects the Westcliff and Southend shops is the car parking charges as well, Southend Council are a rip off, the car parking used to be full up, now spaces all the time. The Southend shop which looks like it’s opposite the car park is dead up there. I’d convert the 3 floors above into flats and go into roof if it has one, looks like it’s full of damp, flooding is always an issue on the front, happened so many times over the years
Absolutely agree on the pricing, so many places dont shoe prices or arent clear if something is vegan or not, if the business owner doesnt have enough respect to display these things then i take my custom elsewhere, very frustrating as so many businesses do it!

Maybe even renting out little stands/shops to local businesses where they can sell their own goods and operate your own pop-up shops from your various trading businesses such as teddy tastics etc.?

pricing is important. Ice cream vans parked outside my kids school. They have the price in the smallest font and designed to get people to the front of the queue without checking the price and the pester power of kids forcing you to spend money you didnt plan to.
After watching some of james videos i spent all of last night sourcing for a commercial property for lidl as they have a huge expansion budget and are calling out on the public so i found and area that they could probably expand in and the property also listed about 3 days ago so I'm going to phone up the department and see. James meant with the best intentions, I've lived in Southend all my life and I don't believe many locals at all visit 'the golden mile' where the Rossi shop at the bottom of pier hill sits. It's nothing like the Westcliff shop which locals visit all year long. You can't park near it and it's a proper rough area.

Definitely invest in Barista training and ensure that the responsibility for making the coffee doesn't slip down the chain to someone who doesn't know, understand or care about the quality requirements of making a fantastic cup of coffee. Way too many ships just put the machine in and think it's easy. It's not. There are so many things that need to be done right to get the best out of coffee beans!
James do not stack your chairs outside the ice cream store, it send a perverse incentive that the store is closing down. Just watched a rory sutherland video and he literally spoke about how that can makes customers think that your closing there for there are time pressures on top of buying a drink. When you have so many businesses working together what way do invoices work? I assume they are all operating as seperate entities, how about VAT implications along the chain? Maybe a silly question just never been involved of something of this scale
Ice cream in England is a scary business. Not enough summer days. Need to get famous for a hot chocolate ice cream concept. Love these behind the scenes vids.
James why not start doing hot puds to go with the ice cream when the weather is colder or out of season? You could do hot apple pies, sticky toffee pudding etc. You could have the branding,pos and menu so they flip when the weather changes. Similar to the menus at McDonald’s when they flip the menus from breakfast to main menu at the end of breakfast service.
We absolutely do that already. We sell more apple pies that you could possibly imagine. But ICE cream is what we’re famous for. Bowling centres sell ice cream and slushes but they’ll never get people do bowling on a sunny day.

Definitely invest in Barista training and ensure that the responsibility for making the coffee doesn't slip down the chain to someone who doesn't know, understand or care about the quality requirements of making a fantastic cup of coffee. Way too many ships just put the machine in and think it's easy. It's not. There are so many things that need to be done right to get the best out of coffee beans!

James do not stack your chairs outside the ice cream store, it send a perverse incentive that the store is closing down. Just watched a rory sutherland video and he literally spoke about how that can makes customers think that your closing there for there are time pressures on top of buying a drink. James why not start doing hot puds to go with the ice cream when the weather is colder or out of season? You could do hot apple pies, sticky toffee pudding etc. You could have the branding,pos and menu so they flip when the weather changes. Similar to the menus at McDonald’s when they flip the menus from breakfast to main menu at the end of breakfast service.
We absolutely do that already. We sell more apple pies that you could possibly imagine.
But ICE cream is what we’re famous for.
Bowling centres sell ice cream and slushes but they’ll never get people do bowling on a sunny day.
All big numbers but do you make any profit?
