Watching your videos over the years you can see how much the business has diversified and grown. The quality of information though stays the same, thanks James!
James, absolutely brilliant I have some industrial units and couldn’t stop smiling throughout this video. I have had exactly the same conversations with my tenants.

Think in 10 year tranches is an interesting one, just gone through my 10 years and feel solid, my next 10 years takes me to retirement and exit, I think. Need to start the thinking...
How do you decide which directions to diversify? Hotels, commercial property, party pieces, teddy tastic, rossie retail/factory, marsh farm, day care etc.. how much do you rely on staff to make acquisitions decisions? People run businesses, you can only do so much yourself, so you must be relying on ‘people’ who you trust to run these businesses.. do you give them a share? How do you keep them dedicated to perform for the business?
I do all the buying, that’s mainly my job. I move people from existing companies into the new ones. So they can grow. But it’s a process of 20 years. We use board meetings and monthly management accounts to track progress. We only diversify to allow for vertical integration. All of our companies are customer of each other or support each other in some way.
James - uiu always talk about being a “commercially profitable enterprise”. What’s the difference between that a “profitable enterprise”? I don’t mean the question to be obtuse - just keen to understand the difference
I think commercial means it’s not a profitable job. To work without you, you need some scale to afford good people. When you sell a business, which should be the discipline you aspire to, no one wants to pay good money for a profitable enterprise, they want something bigger…. Hence commercial!
People are just passing through exhibits so you probably only need to have it at 16 degrees. It's different if people are sitting in a space. There are sheds like this people work in year round with little heating, certainly within the British Isles anyway.
@@JamesSinclairEntrepreneurand you will! You’re young, only 37 I believe. That’s plenty of time. And thanks for all you do. Since discovering you a few weeks ago my business has changed so much. Literally saved myself thousands after listening to one of your podcast episodes. Spent a year paying & charging VAT when I didn’t need to due to the nature of products I sell 😭
Hi James, How much time do you spend looking at competitors and understanding where they are making the gains to see if you can incorporate it into you businesses?
I enjoy your content, but your racking up enormous maintenance debt by not taking care of these properties. I mean the first property is seriously run down and in desperate need of some TLC. Might not be so profitable in the end… 🤷🏻♂️

Great format, love the vid
1:46 I guessed there might have been a question to follow after that genial welcome.😉
Is that a personalised plate on your Range Rover? Very cool if it is.
Love your walkabouts (is that English?). Greetz from Arnhem
Yes it is!
I don’t comment a lot James but that chair you were sitting in, in the blue boar 🐗 hotel could do with being reupholstered 👍
I’m getting round to it!
00:33 I thought it was curtains for James!
I continue to live for another day!
Thinking if buying a 3000 sft warehouse in Croydon. not sure I want yo tie ip the cash though.
Hi James have you thought about putting a small to medium size wind turbine at marsh farm
Or solar ?? Regards Tony

@@JamesSinclairEntrepreneur that’s very clear. Strong work
Regarding the indoor dinosaur trail - those ceilings look very high. Are you concerned about your heating costs?
People are just passing through exhibits so you probably only need to have it at 16 degrees. It's different if people are sitting in a space. There are sheds like this people work in year round with little heating, certainly within the British Isles anyway.
James. Can you please do a video of Tracey bollocking you for not reading those HOT's 😂. Cheers
Big up Digger Dave 👊🏾. And James start doing some yoga mate. Your posture is a bit hmmm… probably all that stress. 🙏
My posture is awful. Years of working with kids as an entertainer compounded the problem. I’m heavily working out each week to try and sort it.

Interesting James, why do you say "I am from the owners" rather than "I am the owner"?
Just think it’s less showey. I just feel it’s more humble than Willy waving!
Hi James, How much time do you spend looking at competitors and understanding where they are making the gains to see if you can incorporate it into you businesses?
Now and then, I absolutely speak to lots of business owners in my sectors and share best practices and ideas.
4k for 1 million emails a month, wow that's extremely expensive. I wouldn't expect to pay more than 1k a month.
That includes all the software we use for journeys etc
@@JamesSinclairEntrepreneur do you employ a development team or outsource it?

That chair at 8:41 is absolutely hideous.
Yes it is. Give me 5 years and this place will look amazing.
Your lying when your hands come up to your face, when on about money…. Good luck mate 👍
