The best attenuation & reamping device out there and when taking sound quality into consideration, the competition isn't even in the same zip code. The best of the best
I played a gig last weekend with my new PS100 with my SmallBox 50 and got a lot of compliments about how my tone sounded good before but so much better with the Power Station
Great video, I love my power station and I've done similar experiments with my mark 4. Should've tried diming the channel volume on the clean channel as well, I've found ridiculous amounts of gain opening everything up. But then I'm also running 6v6s.
I took delivery of a Fryette Power Station PS2A from Thomann yesterday (Bax Music could not supply) and the transformative effect on my 25 Watt Speedster Deluxe amp is little short of staggering! I'm not quite sure why but the the background 'hum and pop' noises from the amp (cooking breakfast as one of my friends calls it) is dramatically reduced! Could this be because of ground lift? In any case, thankyou for your guidance on this, I am delighted with the result. I'm getting much full and richer clean tones from the amp below 85db tan I ever could with the amp alone. My wife and daughter are also happy; what is rare is wonderful!
Just running out of the 8 ohm speaker out of the Mesa into the Amp In of the PS, then taking the speaker out of the PS back to the cab of the MK IV. Everything is at 8 ohms.
Would the Fryette power station be the right unit to amplify a Synergy SYN1 preamp unit, amongst the other things it does? I realize there is already a poweramp (SYN 50-50) for this but is there any benefit from using the power station? Thanks!
I have an EVH 5150III and an 87 Marshall Jubilee 100 watt head….I have noticed when I use my EVH with the PS-100,the power section really adds nothing to the sound….nothing good anyway…after you get over halfway in the volume,it just starts mushing out…..the Jubilee on the other hand, really starts to come alive at high volume settings….I know those two amps are eggs and chocolate, which I suppose makes sense, the EVH gets all its tone from the preamp…..the EVH on 7 is not a good sound…..Just thought it was interesting….the PS is cool in that you can do this stuff without killing the neighbors cat….
Super cool that you've already been chasing this stuff down on your own. It really does make you want to pull out everything you have and take another look...
I’m using a PS2 with a hand wired JTM45 running into a 2x12 loaded with 16 ohm G12 H 30s ( vintage with pulsonic cones). The cab is wired for 8 ohms but I prefer the feel of 6 ohm amp output. I have the option to Run form 16 ohm amp output to PS2a and set the PS output to 8 ohm. But can I wire each speaker to its own Jack and then run from 16 ohm amp to PS2, use the 2 speaker outputs at 16 ohm for each speaker? Thanks
Hello, I´m interested in getting the PS2 but now I´ve just seen on your page there is already a PS2A version available where the in- and outputs can be finetuned, but I´m not able to find it on the German market (yet). Will it be available here as well? Thanks!

My PS2 is probably the single most important piece of gear I have ever purchased.

love that song at the beginning
Great playing, man!
What a great tool for tone modification to access usable sonic qualities!

Will you post a video of the power station attenuating a two-ninety-two. Thanks.
Now that's an interesting idea!
Great video
this was cool! thx!
Maybe I overlooked this in the video, but how is the Mk4 connected to the PS in this setup?

When using the PS for amplification and FXLoop where should I come out of the preamp of the combo in this case ?
If the preamp out of your combo is an FX Send, connect that to the PS Line In.
@@FryetteAmps thank you, I meant if my amp doesn’t t have an FXLoop and I want to add the one in the PS-2…how would that go?

@@JoeGambleGuitar I got my Power Station about 6 months ago…so I have literally been blowing the dust off my amps since then…it’s a great tool…

The 2A has been shipping since last year. All current sellers are shipping this version.
@@FryetteAmps Ah ok, great to hear, thanks!
Is it accurate to say the fx loop on the PS100 only works when you run out to speaker as opposed to line out for direct recording?
Correct.
