Nice! We actually found that the sound changed a bit in the couple of weeks after we installed it. It seemed like the sound got a little deeper and it also cracks and pops a little bit when you coast in the lower RPM range. I posted a video after we installed the Stillen intake kit that also happens to show the change in sound. ruclips.net/video/inlp7szzW2w/видео.html&
@Bob Smith i would not waste your money on a tune after only doing a catback. Im not sure who lied to you but your deffinatly not getting 100 more horse. Maybe 5 or 10 horse. 😂
I raced a Stinger GT with the Borla and it sounded much better in person. This exhaust is fire 🔥 . The MBRP is good too, but not as loud. Clean stinger bro!
@@983272260 personally I like the MBRP how it is. If it’s loudness your going for, I’d go with the Borla. I’ve heard the MBRP with DPs and it pretty loud too, but hands down Borla is one of the most aggressive/loud cat backs out there. Not sure I’ll do downpipes due to the raspy note that v6’s are known for. The power gains aren’t sufficient enough for me to deal with the rasp. I will say the cold start with downpipes is bad ass though, you can really hear the turbos wind down when the air fuel ratios settle.
@@twn2rbo thanks for the advice bro I love your channel, I’ve got an order with a store here in aus for a mbrp system however it’s on back order and they’ve asked if I would want to go with a borla instead aha so just tossing up the two, I’d rather a nicer exhaust note over the loudness which is why I thought the mbrp would be good, heard a lot of good things about it and apparently it sounds even better in real life than on video, What would you rate the loudness of the mbrp, From stock to say a mustang, stock being 1 and mustang being 10 Where would the borla and mbrp sit in terms of loudness
@@983272260 I wouldn’t compare it to a v8, but an arbitrary number 1-10 I would say MBRP is a 6.5-7 and the Borla is a 9. The Borla is one of the loudest exhausts for the Stinger. To me it’s perfect, much louder than stock but not the loudest. You could always add down pipes if you want it a little louder and have some rasp.
I tried the Magnaflow Cat-Back system first on my Stinger GT and ended up having to get the exhaust modded a couple of times, and then the drone was just ridiculous. I then completely switched to this Borla S-Type system, put it on today, and right out of the shop, it sounded much better and louder than the Magnaflow, with zero drone, and nothing but greatness on the outside 👊 And the hatchback on the stinger allows you to hear it just enough in the cabin at a great tone, and no annoyance 👏 My brain doesn’t vibrate and I can actually enjoy my music still.
I'd say it's possible that you'd get some extra power out of it since it's less restrictive than the stock exhaust, but it's kind of hard to tell without actually putting it on a dyno. It definitely improves the sound though.
Maanchuu thanks bro appreciate the feedback. Im hoping the carback will improve with a jb4 once i upgrade but after reading so many forums about how secondary downpipes barely ad performance. Id rather focus on the catback for sound then focus on hp gains
Did you buy your borla s-type catback exhaust from the borla website? how long did it take to arrive? I got my borla axle back s-type exhaust from borla but through ss-exhausts. So, im just wondering.
Yeah, the rear one is the same as the one on the front. The little posts that align the badge are not in the correct positions for the back one though (the E is only designed to go on the front) so you have to clip or cut them off, and manually get it centered and level.
I have a stinger but I don’t see a big improvement changing the factory to Borla, this engine is just not gonna sound like one Nissan GTR or infinity or Mustang, even with a borla still pretty quiet.
A little bit, depends on the speed and background noise. On the highway with windows up, and music on it just kind of fades into the background after a little while.
I fucking hate how people can’t find anywhere better than a neighborhood street to fucking record a video. Like bruh I’m sure there’s a highway near you and then we could hear it go above 3000 rpms
The E symbol is from the Korean Domestic Market version of the Stinger. It's an OEM part that only Stingers sold in Korea come with. You can get them on various parts sites.
Nothing better than a video straight to the point and doesnt waste my time !!! Ty!!
Gotta love that start-up and immediate quick acceleration. Let the oil warm up
coolant too.
The car was on the side of the road. How do you think it got there? Car was already warmed up.
Was warm. You can tell by the idle after start.
Just took my stinger to the mechanic to get the Borla installed. This video makes me even more excited for the results!

I don’t understand any of this , just hoping to come back to this once I get my stinger 🦂

Would you choose the borla or mbrp with secondary downpipes ?

I'm getting this for my stinger
Does it have valves? If so, do I need a Lozic/3rd party switch or will it work with the drive mode changes?
Did you feel any power difference after installing this? Or just sound? Looking to get it for my kia as well.

Is the borla louder than a muffler delete
Want one with windows up, on the interstate goin 70 (80)mph. Wonder the drone at hwy speeds.
Do you have any other mods or just the borla cat back?
Sounds good

Is your rear E badge the same as the ones for the hood? Have the hood already done, wanted to do the truck like you have

Sooooo how about windows up?
I've driven a few of these. They are peppy but lack fun factor. They need to sound better and they NEED a manual.
I could be wrong, but I'm hearing dual sounds, are you not able to turn off the Simulated sounds on this GT?
The fake sound is not exhaust its induction noise
0:06😍😂
what part of Illinois are you in
Is there any drone when not putting down power?

I've got a Stinger GT and love it but I think 6 and 4 cylinder engines sound lame when they're loud. can't do it.
Not when you’re a 392 killer 500 hp 😌
When I hear that car, I think it is a Mercedes c43 amg.😅
Any drone?
A little bit at highway speeds. It's not bad in the front but in the back seats it can be a bit fatiguing if you're on a long drive.
How about mpg? Improvement?
what is this E symbol? could anyone explain?

Nice !! I cant make mine noisier, as wifie has sensitive ears
Is this cat back only?
Yes.
Thousand dollar farther cans
Sounds like a total rice rocket. I'm gonna leave mine stock, I'll leave this up to the 17 year olds.
Sounds like a fart
Borla sounds terrible.
I AM A PROPONENT OF CUSTOM EXHAUST. HOWEVER, THIS DOES NOT SOUND GOOD, TO ME, SOUNDS LIKE MY NEIGHBORS NEW HOT AUDI RS3. SORRY!
Why are you yelling? 😂
Any drone?
Surprisingly little, actually. Of course there's a bit more than stock since it's a louder exhaust but it's really not that bad.
