- It's been a long time coming but I finally got my hands on a C8 Corvette to build! Since this is the World's 1st Manual C8 Corvette Drift Car, there's so much to do and learn throughout this process. Follow along as my team and I transform the flood damaged chassis into a full FD-spec drift car!

Holy matt, I would love to see everything documented about building the car, even going in depth with the electronics and such too!!!!! This thing is gunna be sick and I hope it would be on FD if its a suitable chassis. I wish good luck and cant WAIT for part 2 and so on!!!!!!!!!!!! Please video everything!

I have an mr2 i drift, excited to see some main stream coverage on mid engine drifting. The rear grip is going to be nuts with this car, and with Matt behind the wheel it will rip!!
Dude tell me about it, There have been a few in the past, Hankook tire Porsche, Daigo saito Lambo, Hirokazu Suzuki Sans Mclaren gt3, and 360 Modena, then I drift a GT40 K.I.T car in GranTurismo 7 but would like to take that from the game and bring it into reality.

Gonna be cool seeing this next season. We need to have more "current/newer gen" cars at FD. Would be interesting if the manufacturers got more involved with the sport all around.

Tip for you Matt, when you have water in your oil drain and you're worried about the mixture you can actually blow out most of the water before it turns to oil because the oil should sit on top of the water if you let it chill. Than you can just spray out the water till you have oil come out and youll be good. Or just let it be oreillys problem lol
As someone who drifts a c8 in forza, this makes me very happy

I try but I can never get the c8 to slide how I like with the engine in the back weighing it down. I can drift it well just not comfortable enough to enjoy it over other cars. I’m a big fan of the c8 tho and sad I never could get the tune right

This is so different from what goes on with your main competitors. Papadakis racing with their factory support. Id like to see Fred build a FD car. On a never been done chassis. Actually no I wouldn’t. 😂 can’t wait to see that carbon kevlar body kit.

The manual thing is dope the mid engine thing for drifting I’ll bet won’t be as good as front engine Vette.
I'm sorry a what?!?!😂love it but quick question, I've been looking at vettes and mustangs for a new drift chassis. Any advice? What should I be looking out for when drifting vettes or should I pick a stang? Thx

@@mattfield777 I know you do a lot of watersports, the boat guys I know told me they fill a motor that took a dive with ATF to the brim, let sit for a week and then turn over

Try locating someone with a dry ice blaster to clean the whole car like tavarish did on the p1 and how adam lz cleans just about everything he touches 😂
With it being a mid engine do you think it'll be more balanced when drifting or are you predicting needing to add weight to counteract?
Probably too much rear weight, so dont expect to have fast transitions, also sit position is very foward, so it will feel very weird. Cant wait to see it drift
