Absolutely amazing work Rowan love it esp that you don't need a huge setup of a blacksmith shop to assemble something so big it can be built with very minimal tools and being creative Well Done
I hope this will have at least a temporary home as a display for educational/historical purposes. It is awesome in the true sense of the word. A museum could stream the videos of you making it as part of the display to help viewers understand the technology and craftsmanship that was had all those years ago.
Great to see real raw blacksmithing, loving the knot work, The only time i've seen an example before was at the science museum in London - there was a knot the same as the one in this video but out of I think 30 or 50mm diameter bar, its always fascinated me
this chain is awesome been watching since the beginning my wife even said is he still making that chain so my question is how many hours of forgeing do you have in it thanks for the great videos
Its amazing that this piece was first made back in the dark ages! And how you recreate it using almost identical means! Bravo!

that looks phenomenal. i had no idea at the start that the finished product was going to be so BIG. must weigh a ton!
That is so amazing. I'm just imagining a bunch of anthropologists getting hold of these videos and absolutely losing their shit with excitement.
Beautiful work sir. I really enjoy your videos.
Great, as everytime. Came out very nice!
A great piece- kudos.
Beautiful, but then again there's no surprise there
Beautiful, a king's kitchenware. Now you should forge a cauldron for it, and build a great hall to hang it in :D
Good
Really nice work as always. Nice to see it all assembled.

Very cool. Your channel is fantastic!
Will you try remaking the pattern welded seax? After finishing the chain of course.
