Dad n lad in perfect harmony there. Great stuff!
Ye mate if this youtube takes off 1 day me and Andy would love to give our dad's a job
Great job, your dad is a quality mechanic
Thanks for that I'll let him know you said that he will appreciate it 👌
Here's a tip for you, not so important on cars but a brilliant tip for bike engines.
After you've cleaned all the gak off the engine block and other alloy parts you notice how they'll have lost that new ally look, well the next best finish is to put said alloy part in a standard parts washer/cleaner, next get an old nearly worn out wire wheel brush, the sort that comes in a cup, keep your drill speed slow and keep the washer head flowing onto the part your wire brushing.
While you're doing it you'll be thinking, 'it's doing nowt' but after you've run an air line over it it'll look very shiny and even and totally lush, also the clean slightly shiny look will last ages and but when you need to clean it a rag and some alcohol will do the job nicely. Any way, engines good for another 150K, nice job Liam.
brill lads its great to see nothing gets better with engine rebuild no matter which one you work they have there issues but some engine makers do not like you do that type of work they just wont you to get new from them PS love the show👍
Nice one mate! Yeah I think that's unfair tbh, they get enough from the sale of the vehicle so why not just release all the torque figures? Greedy buggers ha ha 😂
The posh lad Mat from High Peak Autos would love that workshop 😁
😂😊
Always been In awe of guys like Liam's old man. I have done a few engines on motorbikes and 1 car engine and tbh it was great but took me longer cause I wasn't doing it all the time plus I'm always triple checking stuff haha to make sure I don't drop a bollock. 😂 Nice peace of mind that the motor is a good one now and one step closer to the road. P.s Good Fathers day pressie for ya Dad is a must 😉
When you do things day in day out it just becomes so much easier doesn't it?! I mean me and Liam are brilliant at making brews haha 😄 I can't wait till we've got a bigger unit so we can do all this in-house, I mean we'll probably still get mark involved (liams dad) ha ha 😂
@TransformotionVR Mark is an invaluable asset to have if it comes to engines 💯. Good luck with upcoming body removal etc. Can't wait for the video fellas 😀
Love the video! Great to see Liam working with his dad on this project. Can't wait to see the Range Rover running. 😁
Thanks wolfy it great working together and shouldn't be long now till its running 👍
Love watching engine work it’s therapeutic lol knocked year off the engine cleaning it out, it looks fresh
There is somthing nice about building an engine with loads of new parts and everything clean! 😀
@@TransformotionVR knowing it’s clean and not coked up as well so it’s looks nice and will run nice 👌
Brilliant video, really informative. Lovely to see you & your dad working together. Your dad has absolutely amazing skills working with such accuracy well done to him. The engines looking mint. Can’t wait to see the next one. Well done all ❤
Thanks for that Trish it is good to work together and I'll let him know and thanks for the nice comment as usual 😀

Nice one Mike, are you free to come down sometime this week, liams picking the hoodie up possibly Tuesday so you can come and get that and your tool box
Must be great having your dad to share all that expertise, reckon you owe him a fair few bevvies now.
Ye he dose come in handy from time to time 🤣 but ye it's always nice to be taught something by ye dad and ye I'll box him off with a crate of buds when it's done
My dad only smokes weed
Can't beat a nice clean rebuilt engine going back in the car, so satisfying when she fires up for the first time.
I'm really enjoying this series guys, great work... 👏
Thanks man! Yeah it'll definitely be satisfying when everything's clean and new and running like a dream 😁
Getting slicker with the obd 11 plug boys 👌 I'm getting 1 😂😂😂
Great work mate, can't wait to see it finished, boss episode ❤️🤟🤘👍👌
Nice one mate, liams itching to drive it ha ha 😂
Great video lads ❤ and good job on cleaning up the engine as well as you did. Not many RUclipsrs do that.
Love these Range Rover videos. Looking forward to seeing it running
Blown away by the determination and skills used here

Great video as usual. Been waiting for an update on the rangey.
Thanks mate, a few people have been waiting tbh, it's getting there now
Cracking job Li. U wana hope Matt doesn't see this & get any ideas
You guys, "you make me feel brand new ".

Keep up the good work chaps! 😁 🖖
Nice one mate, we always appreciate you comments and support 👍
Another brilliant video. You and your dad have done a fab job in building up that engine. It's gonna run. I can feel it, and the A Teams got it
Thanks Joseph 😁 it should be like a brand new engine now 😀
Brilliant! I love these types of videos and also watching a true tradesman at work, a lot better than watching some of these so called mechanics that just change a part on an engine and make it look like it was really technical and then charge you an arm and a leg for doing something that you could probably do yourself.👍
Well done Liam and I'm looking forward to the next episode on your new (second hand) Range Rover. (was Andy still in his bed when you and your dad were doing all the work?)😁
Hahahaha ye mate you never know what has actually been done and you can get charged a fortune that why we try and push for the obd11 because in some cases you can tell the garage what needs changing if you have 1 and Andy has been busy this week after work decorating before his couch comes or so he said he could have been sleeping 🤣🤣
Good work lads, looking forward to seeing it running
Thanks mate, we can't either ha ha 😉
@@TransformotionVR have you checked the condition of the turbo/turbo actuator mate? You don't wanna be taking the body off twice now do you 😉
I didn’t realise just how much work was involved with building an engine.
Well done to you and your dad!!❤.
Im not a car guy so nice too see stuff I don't know anything about and learn a thing or 2. Your dad really know his stuff. Can't wait to see it running 😊
Hes not bad on the ald spanners is our marko (liams dad) ha ha 😆 have you stuck to the gym??
@@TransformotionVR was ill for a few days so not been, going tomorrow as feeling better now.
Don't be making excuses Ronnie ha ha only joking mate, glad you're on the mend
Love from Pretoria
Thank you 😊
That’s a lot of work 😳 looking forward to the next episode 👍🏻 great video very enjoyable 👏🏻👍🏻
Thank you mate we appreciate that 👍
Alan’s Skip Hire my mate knows Alan Hassal from Chester
Started in Bretton by aerospace and Hawarden airport never knew they covered Skem
Brilliant to watch, wish I had skills like that, respect!! Look forward to the next video, will be great to see the Rangie back on the road.
Thanks mate! You can always learn new skills like that mate, buy yourself an old engine and strip it down clean it and build it back up, it's gonna be our new tow vehicle I think ha ha 😂
Nice one loved watching your engine rebuild as I find this very interesting as I was an engine builder myself many years ago lol, great bit of kit to get all your old parts clean it’s looking good now looking forward to you turning the key and it firing into life 👍
Thanks mate, it's satisfying watching an engine being built isnt it!?
@@TransformotionVR your welcome yes have to say it definitely is he’s an idea maybe one or two more on your channel could be good if others think the same too?
Great video 🎉
Thanks, much appreciated 😉
Hey Liam. Guess this is too late but there’s a YT channel called LR Time and they’re currently going through a detailed rebuild of a 3.0 TDV6 and show the method and values for torquing up the main bearing blocks and con rods. Good luck with the rebuild.
Thanks for thinking of us mate, but this is the 2.7 v6 and yeah its already been torqued now haha 😄 but thanks anyway
@TransformotionVR firstly great work here. That chanbel has loads of info on both 2.7 and 3.0 they done few rebuilds on both engines a bit of an information goldmine if you're working on the disco 3/RRS platform.
You should've put that Range Rover Sport chassis and drivetrain under Matts Range Rover Classic.
Ha ha not a bad shout, we might do that in the future 😉
Old School workshop brilliant thanks 😊
great job lad step closer next video please
Itll be back on the road before you know it ha ha 😂
Fellas where did you get that hexagon shop light? I need one for my business

2.7 or 3ltr when it comes to cranks when your rebuilding upgrade them
This one didn't need one, just got new shells
@@TransformotionVR iv a 3.6 sport the crank problem wouldnt let me sleep
Ha ha some never go....its the luck of the draw i suppose
I know ya it was some mess with landrover on the cranks the 3ltr i just wouldnt buy
Aparently that's the worst of them all the 3.0
@@TransformotionVR yip the 3ltr i just wouldnt buy how ford got away by not fixing the problem is a joke but in saying that landrover should have stopped using them engines
In the middle of doing this on my drive on my own 😮😮😮😮
Hows it coming along?
@TransformotionVR 🥴🥴 jag engine is nearly out then I need to take the dreaded range rover one out 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ wish I didn't start it 🤣 thanks for asking tho 👍
No worries mate, good luck with it man 👍
