I'll be doing a follow up video on them in winter. Look well protected overall. I'll probably try to combine a few things together to talk about how they hold up in the NE winter / snow.
Hi! I am trying to help my Dad get in his new 2024 Lariat.. I started with the tail gate step video. I think it is perfect solution for older person who somehow bought a tailgate with no internal ladder and handhold. However…this truck has dual exhaust. Can it still go on corner area? They make a corner handhold that fits in the hole on corner end of bed by tailgate. It sticks up, but I thought it would help in and out. Without a step/ handhold it is accident waiting to happen! Please let me know best step for dual exhaust if this won’t work! Thank you! Next question is for power steps!
Really quiet. You don't hear the motor at all from in the car. You mainly hear when they are either fully extended or fully retracted when they meet the stop. I really like them.
Thanks for the quick reply you just made it an easy decision i have a set of the AMP research ones on my 22 Bronco and they are very noisy and clunky sounding
@ no problem. Trucks are a lot more insulated than the Bronco, so that might be why I’m not hearing anything. If you want me to send you a video or recording dm me on my Instagram
Hi! My dad’s new 2024 Lariat is taller than his old F150. He also forgot to get the tailgate step which is why I’m researching modifications. My dad has trouble getting into truck bed and my mom has trouble getting in passenger side. I think these power steps could work to be lower than the factory running boards. Can you adjust the drop down to extra length or is it one set distance? The new lariat truck came with nice black running boards. Does Ford make power steps or is it only after market. As another option…can a drop down step be added to running board on passenger side for my mom to get in? Thanks!
Hey, These running boards are both drivers side and passenger side. You cannot adjust the distance they travel but they are already lower than stock. Ford does make power steps, they are available on some lariat models, but you might need to get the truck programmed for them. I'm not sure.
They seem to be. The build quality on them is great. I'll do an update after they have gone through a winter here in New England. I've only had them for a few weeks so limited experience with them.
Hello "Smackey's Garage" I saw that in your channel have some problems. For these problems your channel is not much growing. Not getting much engagement. If you can solve these problems, Your channel will get more engagement. If you can give me permission I can tell to you about these problems. Can I tell here or email? Okay?
I agree, I like how these kinds of folding steps are positioned to provide a better stepping location. :)
Yea. Definitely a quality of life improvement I didn't know I needed!
Awesome video brother. I like those. Thanks for sharing. Keep the content coming. Hope you have an incredible weekend. Much love and RESPECT

Thanks! I really like them. Really looking forward to not getting buildup on my running boards in the winter.
Nice upgrade! Really nice running boards and installation!👍
Thanks Mitch! Definitely enjoying the look of them.
Great video!
Thank you!
They look good. Did they come with a warranty?
Listed as a 1 year warranty on their site.
I would be curious to see how these will hold up in winter.

How quite are they when opening and closing

Are these the top of the line as far as brand/quality etc?

No thanks to power boards...Something else to go wrong or need repair, not for Canada's climate.
Why not?
Great video!
Thank you!
