    I moved to other states five different times. Each time ranging from six months to five years ~ My mom would call and say, “it’s time to come home” ~ and each time I came home eagerly. I’ve been home on the Texas Gulf-coast for many years, and will never leave my beloved Texas again. I am very sure that heaven will be an extension of Texas. Much love, TexasLadyJuanita

    It takes a man from Middlesborough to write the absolute best song about Texas....EVER! The first time I heard it, I was flying down the Dallas Tollway and had to pull over and listen to it. Ever since then, I became a huge fan. I realize he may never tour again, much less the states but I keep listening!

I'm a native Texan and have been voting for 40 years. Showing an I.D. is far easier for those who choose to vote than having to show your voter registration card, driver license, have them compare signatures and then being allowed to vote. Plus, if someone was not thoughtful enough to register to vote and shows up to vote, time is taken to register that person and that delays the entire process. I have experienced all of this and i.d. voting is easier. If you are too incompetent to get an i.d. and /or get a ride to the poles, then you just don't want to vote bad enough. The rules are the same for everyone, regardless of race. Where do you live, Disney World? Anyone with a Geraldo Rivera mustache like you have is dubious, at best. Oh, I'm not necessarily contacting you. I'm just pointing out to others who may read this how wrong you are.

I was blown away by his voice, the BIG sound, and could understand every word in the songs. I still to this day have this cd, but its about the 15th one I've owned. Funny thing is, back in the day I had a cassette player in my ride, so I recorded from cd to cassette. I still have that original cassette. Texas! ...She says: "what?" I said, Texas, ... she says: "what?" ...they've got big long roads out there... ... I've lived in TX for 25 years .... a lot has changed over the years but there still is no place like Texas! The only way to understand is to live here.

    Having spent time in "West Germany" in the early '80s I really appreciate this video. It really looks like the "Trabbi" they were traveling in broke down in what we referred to as an LTA and I have spent countless hours in M151A2 Jeeps, M35A2 "Deuce-and-a-half" trucks, and M113A2 APCs (Armored Personnel Carriers) which were featured coming to the rescue. My heart always goes out to people who live under oppressive and tyrannical governments so when I watch this video, I make sure to have a tissue to wipe my eyes nearby...

    The "Texas" in the song is a state of mind, a mythical "better place" in the same vein as "That's How I got to Memphis"

    • @IGLArocknroll
      @IGLArocknroll 5 лет назад +2

      You're quite right. Texas as a mythical "better place" as you put it, came into existence when the "Dallas" TV show was first aired in the former Eastern Bloc.

    • @garyjackson3531
      @garyjackson3531 2 года назад

      @@IGLArocknroll People have dreamed about Texas since the 1820's. Americans left the United States to become Mexican citizens of Texas.
      When David Crockett lost his seat as a Congressman representing Tennessee he gave quite a speech to his constituents, saying "As you have chosen to replace me with a man with a timber toe (wooden leg) you may all go to Hell, and I shall go to Texas!"

    Thats what the True military Is about!
    The evil media will make you think otherwise however
    The people who serve ARE about loyalty,Respect & Honor.
