- This is for plant CP7. This product was purchased at a big box store in Columbus, Indiana on August 15, 2022.
The CP7 is a manufacturing line at a particular plant.

i AGREE THEY SHOULD BE FORCE TO SHOW THE REAL DATE MANUFACTURED BUT COMPANIES GET TO SELL THE OUTDATED PRODUCT AND YOU GET THE REPAIR BILL . WHAT A WORLD WE LIVE IN. @@pmtips4482

Screw Blue Def, would rather run Walmart Super Tech with the manufacture date plain as day.
Looking at super tech at WMT this exact second. NONE of them have open code date codes on them
Very good explanation. Thank you. New question, what do I do with 7+ gallons that I dont know the date code for? This is in an RV diesel pusher that has been sitting stationary for an undetermined amount of time, so I plan to drain it and replace. Is it ok to pour down the drain, on the ground, or is there a required disposal process? Thanks.
You could check it with a refractometer to see if its usable.
DEF is classified as non-hazardous by the EPA.
You still need to think about pets and critters getting to it, but I would dig a shallow hole and pour it in.
Recommendation is against pouring it down any drains.

Why did you subtract 1 from the year? 23 is 2023 on a Julian Calendar?

22050 is my first few numbers
Call OWI, ask them because on some product lines in some plants, they will use a 3 or 4 digit code in the beginning for plant locations.

Why not make it simple and just put the damn date on it? Lol. Imagine buying milk and you need a calculator to figure out the expiration date. Lol
