Not every superhero game NEEDS to be open world, but quite a few superheroes would be best served by being open world. Iron Man, Hulk, Ghost Rider, Thor, Silver Surfer, Captain Marvel, Daredevil, more than a few of the X-Men, the list goes on. Basically if they can fly or are known for jumping and/or acrobatics, an open world game is probably the best fit.

Even if it's crappy justice league game just like the avengers game could've worked out better. Just need faster flying and less over glow took away from the game. No mortal combat version like injustice.

For the different armors, I think it would be smart to allow the player design their very own armor. Picking their own weapons, tech, designs. It’s the smart way because it even opens a possibility to give that player a choice in whether they would want to go guns blazing with their own design of the war machine armor or hulk buster armor, or use stealth armor for missions that have a lot of hard enemies to beat.
Please... please be good.
Honestly, use Anthem as an example for the flying and general combat. Game was super solid in some ways

I’m so excited for the iron man game!
This was my most anticipated Marvel Game until the trailer for Marvel 1943 Rise Of Hydra released. But I'm still super hyped for this game. It would so awesome if their were customizable armors, like the lightsabers in Jedi Fallen Order and Jedi Survivor.
I honestly don't mind if the game is linear or open-world, because linear doesn't necessarily mean small scale mission maps. If Iron Man feels like a walking weapons platform and the gameplay is fun, I really wouldn't care if it's open world. We've got enough big franchises doing that and making the same open world mistakes again and again.

*What Motive needs to do with Flying 🚀 as Iron Man is what Insomniac has done for swinging as Spider-Man 🕸️*

*I want there to be momentum and some finesse from the players part*
*Design environments so it feels fun to fly around them*
*Encourage experimentation*
*Allow us to do sick tricks and turn off the thrusters to do free falls and pick ourselves up at the last minute*

Iron man isn’t even my favorite character but if they do this game right it could be the best superhero game ever made. Also I don’t think consoles are coming for awhile after the pro drops

-get the suit system like the first Spider-Man
-capture the essence of RDJ
-give haptic feedback (for ps5 or ps6)
-I’d say keep the story more linear

I was kinda hoping that for an iron man game that it would have some rouge like elements where before each mission you build the next armor and try to push it to its limits while collecting materials to craft components and weapons for your next armor back at stark tower until you create the infinity stone armor from endgame which leads to a big battle at the end
I think an Iron Man game needs HUGE suit customizaiton. Nothing would make you feel more like Tony Stark than inventing new suits. There could be a skill tree called "inventions" which unlock new weapons or other mods for your suits.
Really hope that you can get access to All of his suits and maybe u could have to find them I would love go to a cave and find the mark 1 I also really hope you can eject from the suit and re equip it when you are falling

Motive is perfect for iron man because of the dead space suit is kinda simillar but heavier.
I have a lot of faith in Motive. I just hope they can nail the traversal and combat because iron man has probably the largest scope with what he can do. He can fight in close quarters and melee but also fly as fast as a jet and get in dogfights. He can't move at a snails pace like in the avengers game. He can't even move the speed of spiderman IMO because he truly is that fast in flight. But they can't relegate the combat to mostly dogfights or chaotic huge open battles, it needs to somehow be vast and open but also deliberate and designed as well as doom or god of war. Armored core is a good example of having a sense of scale and speed while also making sure there is some thought to the combat, even though it sometimes gets so fast you can barely think.
Another important question is how would the open world work really? Is it one big space or multiple spaces? How do the side missions work? He isn't a street level hero that stops random crimes so what random events will there be? If you ask me, they need to have multiple open maps to get the full experience. One can be more based in nature where you're meant to fly passed everything and you can be as destructive as you want, and it would be interesting to have a city where you can't just fire rockets whenever and it is more dense rather than expansive. They could even take the GTA 5 route and have part of the map be dense and then a huge open mountain and desert area.
As for combat specifics, I think nanotech would give them way more freedom with what we can do in combat. They could give us melee weapons, flight boosts, and huge energy cannons that wouldn't be possible without nanotech. Plus I'm pretty sure the teaser image has the prime armor that is nanotech. I know people complain about it in the movies but this is a game and there could be cool mechanics tied to it, and its a new iteration of the character so they'd develop him with nanotech in mind to make it better fit him and the story and overall universe

I kind of want to see a rock steady style game for iron Man or at least Captain America you know how they did it with Batman in the Arkham series they should at least do one of those style of games with one of the avengers either iron Man or cap I can see it working better for cat but it would be cool for iron Man

I forgot the Avengers game even existed. It felt almost nostalgic seeing gameplay for it, but not in a good way. Whatever games Marvel creates in the future, hopefully it not anything like that again.

I’m holding my hype because it’s EA and we know EA but if it’s the same Motive team members who worked on the dead space remake then I’m less worried about this game being a live service/filled with microtransactions and battle pass.
That scares me. Not having all hands on deck is automatically gonna be used to criticize the game if it fails, so better not give reasons to do so.
Hope it's enough to at least make it good because this is not some IP you can just leave for later, it HAS to be treated like the most important game right now.
I know Battlefield is important too, but that's already a solid franchise, it doesn't need that many people or dedication. They can work on both at the same time, but leave Battlefield for later to focus on Iron Man, because nobody gonna care about Battlefield falling out, but everyone will be talking about the new Marvel flop.
I trust Motive to make a great game, but they can't be overstuffed with too many projects, specially if one of them involves the online shooter model, which takes way too much time to work on.
We had a badass Iron man-like game. It was called Anthem.

Thanks to Jeff Grub, this game and the Blank Panther game are real and I am really hyped for the gameplay for this and Black Panther alongside all the Marvel games that are confirmed and have not shown gameplay yet. BTW, Caboose how do you like my blade profile picture?

really hope they dont do what Spider-Man 2 did and completely babify the game. imagine being able to cal your suit on or off at anytime and different attacks not being animations but actually being able to be chained together to make amazing combos. having a skill ceiling will literally make ot break the game.

I’m not a big fan that EA needs so many studios just make battlefield. It just potentially slows down the development cycle and the efficiency aswell. Battlefield should just stick to one developer because I have no doubt DICE can make a great battlefield so they don’t really need criterion and etc to help.
