Well I'll be a flounders father... You said meet you in Delacroix! I though you said meet you where the red ferns grow! Next time we'll clarify a bit better. Sorry I missed another trip Devin. Won't happen again.
Hey Bud. Killer video. Just curious about that blue gill bait. What’s the name of that bait? I’d like to get some. Just don’t know which one it is. Thanks
So would this be Spanish lake, just moved to LA getting my boat over here next week. If you don’t mind me asking where are the best places to fish close to Baton Rouge.
Hey, welcome to Louisiana and great question. Nope, that's nowhere near Spanish Lake. I'm not really big on giving away fishing spots because that's not helpful. Those fish haven't been in that spot for over a year now anyway. But they have been in other spots. The key to finding those spots lays in interpreting the conditions and reading satellite imagery, all of which I teach inside my courses. $144/year is an awfully cheap investment to learn what you need to get straight to the fish, rather than learning things the hard way over a period of years. You can learn more about my memberships here: www.lafbelite.com/join/ Tight lines!
That is a badass video! What surprised me the most in it was that fact that the trolling motor didnt pick up more grass. I use a minnkota riptide terrova and i put that thing as high up as it will go and I still get all caught up in the grass. You know what might be the difference though. I bet you have a 24v motor. Mine is a 12v. I bet yours has more strength to cut the grass as compared to a 12v. Do you have a 24v or am I assuming wrong? And by the way..... Your videos have improved SOOOO MUCH! You got it goin on!
I have it trimmed pretty high. I don't think that grass is that thick, but you guys don't see every time I hand-cleared the prop. I feel the videos have improved and I'm gracious that you noticed, but I still feel there's something missing, sometime I don't know, or maybe they'd be getting more attention than what they do. Thanks for watching, Brandon.
Hi Devin- proud member of LAFB ELITE! As a dentist, I cringe every time you cut line with your teeth!! I carry nail clippers on a mono lanyard around my neck when fishing. Hope this saves someone an expensive dental bill.
Have a question for ya Devin, how deep should the water be if your trying to sight fish? Also I was wondering if you can answer this one, I fished Delacroix Saturday and almost every where I went had this green film on top of it, almost looked like pollen. Any idea what it is?
Hey Scott, great question. It's one I get a lot and the answer I have for it is this: Yes, of course there's corrosion, rust, etc. If you're a guy who's mechanically and electronically savvy you won't have a problem with it. But, if you need AAA to change a flat tire, or ever used a home warranty fix a broken appliance, then the Ultrex is not for you. Get a saltwater model.

I'm fishing with Bajio Sunglasses, specifically the Bales Beach frame in a Trevally Lens, or Cuda Grey lens for when it's overcast. Honestly, if you get on good fish it really doesn't matter what lens you have on.
