- This iconic song is taken from their ARCHE BUDOKAN Day2 concert and requested by Spooka.
Translation by me.
Annotations to "The Final":
"It's my left hand which I cannot put into characters" - "Characters" as in "letters" or "writing" in general.
"The reason I'm alive..." - Just like with DEG's song title "wake", "reason" is spelled as "riyuu" (理由), but Kyo pronounces it "wake" (which would be 訳), and while the original meaning of that word is "reason", it would still push the meaning of this line more towards "The fact that I'm alive...".
"What is lost" - I love what Kyo did here. I tried to keep this one vague, since in the lyrics the thing that is lost is kept ambiguous through the usage of katakana for "mono" (モノ) as well. It is kept open wether things (物, mono) or people/someone (者, mono) is meant. It could either be "The things that are lost" or "Those who are lost" (the following line, "[...] won't be born again" might hint towards the latter).
"What is lost [...] won't be born again"
"Even the proof of living [...] cannot be sought by this song" -
Just to make clear that these lines, separated by "So I can't live" are actually sentences belonging together. (This is made apparent in the way the written lyrics are composed)

Personally, I love most all Japanese Metal as well as most all Japanese Horror films. But I think DIE EN GREY was a lot better on the 'Dum Spiro Spero' CD/Album. I liked them better when they featured more 'death style' vocals.
