Imagine if the USSR/US space race had been like this: "Mr. President! The Russians landed on the moon using a two-part orbiter that took advantage of the mountains and the pilot did an extensive use of the lander's brakes!" WHY DIDN't WE EXPERIMENT ON THIS FIRST? CALL THE LABS!
Meanwhile at okb-1: -Comrade Korolev, there is a cosmonaut stranded on the moon! Should we use the unmanned backup lander we left there to bring him back? -Nope, just use the Nitrogen thrusters in his EVA pack LMAO
@@SMD234WG acceleration from gravity is very clearly 9.8 m/s on kerbin. but let's assume that their 'meters' are also 10 times smaller than ours... logically, their bodies have only ever adapted to survive in their much lighter gravity. so exactly why does that make you believe that their bodies are much stronger than human's bodies, who have evolved to survive in 10 times harsher gravity while carrying around a body 10 times taller and more than 10 times heavier?
I really enjoyed this design! It made me wonder whether even more could be saved if plane would separated in Kerbin orbit, in order not to carry Rapier engines, wings etc. around?
@@kasyu1101 No. Single Stage To Orbit. It made it to Kerbin Orbit (and beyond) in a single stage. What it does after that is irrelevant in designating it as an SSTO.
I'm still almost convinced that a Tylo single stage mission is not possible without glitches or mods. Turbo Pumped would be one of the people I would expect to surprise me though =0
@@BradleyWhistance yeah now i remember that you did exactly the same thing with hundreds of passengers... And that you did the absolutly unexpectaple, so yeah.
Finally ! Amazing video ! I love how your designs are always ultra simple yet so perfect ! Why did you use RAM intakes instead of shock cones intakes ?
Cool idea but you put propellant tanks inside of each other. You can even tell by the textures on the front tanks not being evenly spaced like they would be without any manipulation.
I like the music. And it's amazing how you manage to combine a week's mission into a few minutes and make it entertaining. Great job. Also, what is the music?

machaineà would be epic but this mission took 6 yrs lol
lmao
The Kerbals are super durable because they live in super low gravity. 1 G on Earth is about 10 Gs on Kerbin.

The way kerbals celebrate the return from a decade-long mission to the other end of the kerbol system (alone on the KSC's runway) is really sad.
Oof
Jesus. That was crazy. And the plane separating is such a neat idea, good bloody job!
Thanks, Im rather pleased with the modular design, it gives a huge increase in delta V - more than 10 000 m/s from Kerbin orbit.

Welcome back fam!
Bradley Whistance Who would have expected to find you here
Oh shit it’s him
And the ksc isnt even fully upgraded. Mad lad.
you're *too* edgy

Osama Bin Laden actually you can be even 1 edgy like mobius strip

Also I don’t think you should be around planes after what you did...
Little did Jebediah know, it was all only a simulation...
Inside a simulation
i appreciate this comment immensely
He's living in the Matrix of our PCs.
Not necessarily.
"Jeb, stop using supercomputer time to find new ways to blow yourself up, please."
I love the sleek and simplicity in its design. Has a quite nice silhouette as well.
1:46 I really thought that he was going to land the entire craft and do the "impossible"
Same
Yeah
Bradley wistance did that
YES another Turbo Pumped video!
A great craft for beginners, without needing to learn gravity assists and all that.
skilled to the bone
Everyone : Tylo sstos are impossible
Turbopumped: maybe not, but...

Tylo, a kerbin without life and an atmosphere.
laythe is just kerbin with an atmosphere but not life (*yet*)
Holy shit you're back!! Really glad to see you're well and making awesome videos again!
Thanks :)
The ingenuity of KSP players never ceases to amaze me.
Very impressive, creative solution to the theoretical maximum delta V x TWR problem in a single stage Tylo craft
And I thought that making a Mün SSTO was cool... Turbo Pumped will never stop surpirsing its audience!!! Congrats!!!
The 1 dislike is from Tylo itself. Understandable.
You make my sstos seen as advanced as bi planes
Nice! Glad to have you back!
That's a really clever design! I'm amazed!
Very well done! Smart as well.
Nice to see you again!
It looks like a MiG-25 and an F-15 had a baby.
HE'S DONE IT AGAIN!
Its crazy what you can do in this game. Great video once again
_Nice!_ Especially the piloting at Tylo!
man i have been missing these
Is this even an SSTO? If it is, I think this design is a RUclips first. If it isn't an SSTO, it's still impressive.
Yaw dropping as always!
You sir are just insane
The return of a legend...
You're a rock star man! Love it!
How do you make the camera zoom to a planet when you do adjustments to the maneuver node like 1:01 ?
Just click on the targeted planet and select focus
My god.... There are no words
Finally ! Amazing video ! I love how your designs are always ultra simple yet so perfect ! Why did you use RAM intakes instead of shock cones intakes ?
Shock cones dont realy make the plane go any faster and they are quite a bit heavier, besides I like the fighter look of the ram intakes.
@@turbopumped6490 same ram intakes 4 life
Turbo Pumped is back. Your content is personally approved by our glorious leader Lenin.
Randomly checked your channel to see this welcome surprise

You expected them to use single propellant tanks? Really?
Damn! Give this a cookie and a double whisky, he deserves it !
I like the music. And it's amazing how you manage to combine a week's mission into a few minutes and make it entertaining. Great job. Also, what is the music?
Thanks, the music is clubbed to death from the matrix.
Sounds like some of it may also be quoting Elgar's Enigma as well.
I can't believe I can recreate something from a ksp RUclips video!
woow that's impressive! some truly amazing work right there. Magnificent design, epic video construction and unmatched flying - applause!
i hear clubbed to death and am momentarily transported back to 2003
HE'S BACK!

God tier spacing
You're finally back! Yay!
This is quite impressive.
GG, glad to see you back
Welcome back good sir
Danny would be proud...
Brilliant! Video and music was good too.
am i the only one who recognizes and appreciates the first soundtrack
Cool design!
omg it looked like the rocket was skidding against the water at the launch
OUR GOD STRIKES AGAIN!
Oh boy did I miss you!
Please show the dV readout in the next videos
Damn, now you just flexin!
NICE!
It's impressive.
I got an ike encounter once and the capture delta v was 6m/s
Very nice indeed
SSTO stands for "Single Stage To Orbit." You have multiple stages.
But he orbited with one stage
It’s not a stage if it rejoins the ship, it’s a subcraft.
Ayyy it's turbo!
Okay, it's happening, everybody stay calm, everybody stay calm, STAY FUCKING CALM!!!

Brilliant design, is there some download of the vessel ?
I shared it on in steam workshop - search for Jigsaw plane II
Awesome! Jeb still lives in a tin can though
Matrix music!!!
Wow youre alive
Does it count as ssto if it comes apart?
Henry Zhang it’s an ssto on kerbin so that counts
It is able to get to Tylo orbit in the single stage as well, so it's still 100% an SSTO.
it only temporarily separates and comes back to kerbin in one piece, yes?
3:59 Ouch!
Soooooooooooooooo good
Typo in Tytle
Amazing
Awesome!
Please use more matrix music in the future .
Nice!!
Why you use rapiers but not have any rocket fuel?
High top speed and altitude before engine shutdown
They didn’t say anything about a 2-part plane!
You need to try soon SR2... (Simple Rockets 2)
very good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IT CAN BE DONE
We getting a craft file?
So u solved the lander problem by making the core a lander?
And i can't even make an SSTO to reach the Mun and Back....
You are god
This music in 2018 makes me laugh
Still want you to make a functional monofuel SSTO >_
those are not stock manuever nodes i presume. And are those stock docking ports? hard to belive there is no wobbling. Impressive feat nevertheless
Everything is stock. The lander doesnt wobble because its wing pushes it up against the mothership, thus keeping it stable.
they said it couldnt be done
Why do you need Oxidizer if you dont have engine to use it?
Dude, you almost died.
This is too far - it's not just an SSTO that landed, it's a bloody 1/2STO!
