I've found Oberlo's videos very detailed and useful, but in this one, I love hearing the way these two Austrians speak Eenglish, but more importantly, their methods are brilliant. They give you the math, the formulas, plus the background case for why their methods WORK. Good on ya, Oberlo for bringing in successful, interesting people, who are really helpful in getting me started. I'm looking forward to working this program.
Just started with dropshipping recently and this video really helped. To be honest, 3 out of the 5 products you presented I already have in my store. Thanks, Oberlo!
Hey there! You'd start with PPE to gather data and once it gains traction you can roll it over to conversions. It'll save you money while you're in the beginning stages. -Jessica 🙂
Hey there, thanks for the question! It depends on how many products you have. This course is to introduce you to your first Facebook ad. However, most experts suggest running multiple ad sets to gather as much data as possible. It is suggested to run ads for at least 3-5 days to start gathering data. -Jessica
Hi there! Generally speaking, conversion ads cost more per click. So while you're collecting data and not necessarily making a lot of sales, it makes more sense to try and control ad spend in this way. -Jessica 😊
This is by far the most helpful, honest and informative video I've seen on dropshipping so far (and I've seen a ton!)! Thanks a lot guys! You rock! Wishing you all the best with your business!

I really like these Oberlo tutorials because it’s unlike those people that make videos of all this money they make on dropshipping. I know now after having my own POD that none of these ventures are ‘get rich quick’ . Most if not ALL successful ecommerce entrepreneurs spend all of their free time working on this plus a full time job until they finally hit a ‘hit’ product. The back strap item he had in his store is a perfect representation of the real struggle of an entrepreneur... even eventual success does not mean one can just take a back seat and ride on the profits of a ‘hit’ it’s constant work and research. Having said this, I wish they would ban people from making click bait videos and ads boasting of their wealth walking around their mansions and flaunting their stupid cars. What’s funny is that it’s not the money and even though it’s starts of as the motivation, it should be the passion of finding products that provide a solution for the purchaser. Even with POD, there is too much emphasis on what ‘sells’ there is no ‘heart’ and so people have these generic items (shirts with some popular phrase) and they strut about their mansions raking it in... but there is no longevity in that. What was the site at the end of the video? Thanks for the wonderful content :)
One of the best seminars ever on writing ads! Thank you so much for sharing. I'm just about to launch my online store and will apply your methods. Hope things are still going as well for you in this Covid climate!
These guys are great! Love their teamwork. Very humble and I appreciate you sharing your knowledge. I didn't even know about Facebook Audience insights! It's helped me already. Thank you!
Can't wait to start a new store! My first store failed because I did not know how to scale it properly. I made on my second week over $300 worth of sales just in 3 days, and made the amateurish mistake of changing my winning ad set. Yeah FeelsBadMan. Now I'm going to grind whilst gather more knowledge and next time I'm positive it will be successful.
I've just started out in this dropshipping thing and am grateful to have someone deep into the ecommerce business telling me candidly about the actual scene with working examples. Thanks for the enlightening lessons. I definitely will want to test it out. Cheers!
Thanks Jessica. I am about to launch Facebook apps and am taking it step by step and in my strides. Fingers crossed, I can share my experience later when I have achieved what I had set out to do.
What makes this video outstanding is the inclusion of FB Insights! If I may suggest? Make it your standard format when you have guests on? Really helpful! as other viewers commented this is one of Oberlo/Jessica's better videos. To me? This is your "secret video sauce!" Finally, if you can do a B-Roll showing Instagram Ad, Story, Influencer screen shot examples like you did with Insights? This I believe, will 10X your viewership as well as skyrocket Oberlo's subscription numbers!
Thanks kindly for your feedback. I know how helpful Facebook ad insights are to others, so I'll be sure to note this suggestion for the future. I will also look into how we can start including Instagram insights as well! -Jessica
Thanks for all the straightforward knowledge download Guys! it's enough to get started and Jessica thanks for being a great interviewer, you ask all the relevant questions and that too without being intrusive to the guests!
Great video and such a nice story. It is so good to always hear the two sides of the story. Thank you, guys! I had troubles of adding new products to my online shop for very long time. Then I found this WMP eyewear brand and added sunglasses and glasses to my fashion shop. It was really winning strategy for me.
Informative, detailed and direct. Thanks for the video and advice! Definitely one of the best videos on dropshipping strategies and products that I've seen.
Alexander and Andreas are great, way they explain all their product and video promotion tips that inspired me a lot to be a drop-shipper. Also, Jessica cool as well. Really, honest and informative video thanks.
Thank you guys, this is such great info. And they are so lovely too. The site at the end, "this is why I'm broke" I didn't realize at first that this was a site name, I just thought you were spending too much buying other drop shippers products. Anyway, every time I watch a vid like this I pick up another gem of an idea, or a tip or a hack. Love it. Thanks
@@alexanderpecka Hi Mr Alex. Great to hear from U. Am planning to start a shopping store.. but alone I can't do good advertising. Shall I go for Amazon FBA (because of its free traffic)?
Hey there! Excellent question. There really isn't a magic number here, but you'd want to ask yourself two key questions. Firstly, how many niche specific products can you find? And how many can you afford to market/manage? I'm hesitant to say a number, but anywhere between 50-200 products are effective in my opinion. You want to make sure your store looks populated with a robust offering, but you'll need to remember that it can be quite costly to allocate a reasonable budget to all of the products. So the number of products should really be a function of what you can afford to spend on marketing in the early days. -Jessica
start with a one product store. Direct all of your traffic to the product site, that way you don't need to worry about the rest of the store looking nice.
Damn it, you showed the water bottle that I just started selling a week ago! 😂 Fantastic video, thank you! The guys had a lot of great information into how they go through the process.

Oooo You guys just gave me a Brilliant idea for a Dropshipping product... Related to something super popular right now I just need to find a producer....
I'm having a difficult time with my clothing line. I'm not getting many sales and when I do it's for items that are coming from China which take way too long to deliver, and the items that come from China are the ones that get the most views. I really hope you guys start adding better quality products from America that we can sell with confidence, that they customer doesn't have to wait 2-3 weeks (just to fullfill not including shipping time) for a bikini or a T shirt. This is killing ecommerce dropshipping businesses. Even Facebook is now saying that orders need to be shipped within 3 days. That's almost impossible using the dropship model.
Run from fashion! It's a nightmare. Not only will you have angry customers because of the long waiting period, you'll also have a ton of returns. I had to refund so many people $ for items that did not get there. I would tell Oberlo this. They would tell me not to worry, the product is on its way. But the buyers were so angry they wanted their money back asap. Oberlo doesn't refund you, they just ensure you the product is on its way. Ummm...a little too late for that. I lost $ and they got free shoes. There are American Dropship companies you can work with. I dropped Oberlo and Aliexpress and now only work with American companies and one jewelry supplier from Turkey. Try Salehoo. It's not free like Oberlo, but you will get access to all sorts of American suppliers with quality products. The shipping is very fast. No, I don't work for Sale Hoo. As much as I love the products from Oberlo and Aliexpress, I have had nothing but stress. Also don't fall for the companies that say they ship from the US. Once you go on their site, look at the shipping rates. Anything that says e-packet...RUN!
Sorry to hear about your trouble with sales. While we have a huge list of US suppliers already on the Oberlo marketplace, we are always adding more. If you'd like any feedback, please reach out to our team at hello@oberlo.com. They can offer suggestions or reviews to help optimize your store for sales! -Jessica
@@amercymainweeb4917 Thanks for the reply, I'll look into that. I had someone order a bikini 2 weeks ago and I don't think they have gotten it yet. I really wanted to have a clothing line but it seems you really need to have and make your own clothes to insure the quality and that it's being shipped out quickly. The most frusterating thing is not being able to find a product that sells, only to keep hearing some kid is making 6 figures doing the same thing somehow. I've joined more "masterminds", webinars and facebook groups in the past 2 years than I can count. I just can't figure this crap out.
The only reason I don't advice dropshipping environment-saving stuff is - When customers get the product they will hate you, they will get straws in a plastic bag wrapped to another plastic wrap lol.
Very informative video Alex and Andreas. I have a question about how to succeed with Amazon as a competitor. For example, the same bottle is listed on Amazon for $8.59 with 80 cents shipping. Knowing people always go to Amazon first before buying from an unknown online retailer, how do you differentiate or compete.
It's what's called an "impulse buy product". A lot of people won't even think to price check on other sites. Plus if you create urgency, they will be more likely to buy now.
if someone can help would be great. when they create the store how many products they add? as i don't think they add only one :) ? you add let's sat 4-50 and you actually advertise only for one? or how it works? thanks.
Great video, loads of very helpful tips so thank you. However, I’ve read a lot about these guys recently, and their 10 million per year pet store, but when I do some research the only business I can find registered to them is a pharmaceutical drop shipping store selling viagra and related products for men. So is it a pet store they are successful with or not? 😕
I would like to know for each product discussed do I open a separate store, so 1 product per store or I should have many products? Just think whether having different products like straw, keychain tool and lotion container in the same store makes sense or all products should be related? Thanks
Hey there! Ideally, you'd have a store with a small selection of products that are somewhat related so that you can test a range of products. When you find a real winner, then you can scale up by creating a single product store. -Jessica 🙂
@@Oberlo Thanks a lot! Why would someone make a single product store in comparison having other products as well and upsell them? Would love a video on this topic in the future maybe. Thanks
Hey i want to ask what kind of stores do they sell this products on? Are they general stores where you can add different products later on or do they make one product stores for every product?
Sometimes i guess people look to buy massive amounts of them... A lot of the products im looking to list are 10-60$ drop ship cost... I was thinking of upping the markup 2-4X the cost with free shipping world wide...
Jessica, this is by far the most informative video there is out there. Thank you for sharing and thanks to Alexander and Andreas. Question - at $5 a day per product, how many ad sets do you suggest with CBO? Thanks
Hey Donovan, thanks for the kind words! I would suggest 2-3 ad sets at least. Don't forget to a/b test individual ads too. I've found even changing the picture can drastically change the engagement and results! -Jessica
Hey Anthony, he is referring to Facebook Ads cost. He's saying that if it burns through twice as much as your profit margin (the price mark up on your products), it's best to kill the ad and try another. -Jessica
I hear a lot about up selling and cross selling and get other great ideas from these vids but, I am just starting out and can’t afford to buy another plug in every time I see a video. It would be great to know if there are totally free apps for things like up selling if that concept is mentioned in one of your videos. I enjoyed the ideas presented in this video, I am wondering just how current is this information? I just received an email back from the straw supplier and they are not willing to negotiate on the price. Also, I need some clarity for the video ad (specifically for the straws) did they use Facebook or Instagram ? Thanks
Hi there! 👋 A lot of people switched over to Facebook Business Suite Insights, which is a tool that allows you to access your audience insights across Facebook and Instagram. ✌
Hi, how’s it possible that they get their advertisement on the multi-function key approved when its actually against Facebook Advertising Policy (Ad Promotion on weapons such as knives)? Appreciate a reply thanks!
Hey there, Sam! You're absolutely correct. The gentlemen were talking about how they would sell the items and how they would target specific audiences based on interests, and that applies to all products in all niches. I think this one slipped through the cracks, however, and is likely not something that would be approved based on Facebook ad policies. Good eye! -Jessica
I live in Jamaica and I want to start a online drop shipping business but don’t know how to or if if it’s the same procedure because I live in a different country
Great video guys!! I’m very new and want to get started. Do you guys just sell through Facebook ads or do you have a Shopify store? How do you get your label on your product to drop ship without carrying stock and self shipping? If the products are coming from AliExpress how do you manage the package not looking like it was shipped from another country? Thank you for your help? xx
The answers to your other 2 questions is....you don't. Well your second question I'm not entirely sure, but you will have to talk with the supplier about private labeling, but chances are you would have to get them shipped first to yourself. Not sure if they'd dropship your private labeled product.
Hi Guys & Jessica thanks for sharing this great video. Appreciate it. I have a question regarding the keychain tool. Do you guys stock this product and pack it yourself? Or did you just place dropship orders with seller, as you got each and every sales? The reason I am asking is because you mention you will put two or more pieces in one pack. Thanks
Thanks for the question! Oberlo connects you to suppliers who ship the product directly to your customer. So, we do not pack it and ship it ourselves. Once you receive an order from a customer, you can place it with the supplier. They will then ship it directly to your customer. Here is more information on how it all works (bit.ly/2u4d3q0)! -Jessica
Oberlo this is the first reply you’ve written that didn’t answer the question neither does the link. @LG These men may have used additional methods (fulfillment) which is perfectly fine. One cannot expect one to give away an advantage learned through time and error. This is one of the most informative videos I’ve ever seen on dropshipping. Use it to sharpen your idea and fill in the blanks of where you went wrong or the basic steps to begin.
Very useful video! Thank you. Could you please advise on the type of those 8-10 test campaigns on Facebook? Would you recommend traffic or conversions?
Hey there! You'll first want to run engagement (traffic) campaigns to see if they gain traction, if they show promise, then you'll adjust for conversions. Hope that helps! -Jessica
Thank you for the informative video. I would like to ask if all these items are sold in the same store? What is the store niche? Because each product here belongs to very different categories. Just wondering how you manage that.
I don't get him at 11:25 he said he test with 8-10 audience, 5$ each. so it costs total like 50$ per day. let it run for 1 2 or 3 days. then you get the obvious results. so what does he mean by audience? I think it different way of target. so by 8-10 audience = 8-10 different way of target? is it what he mean?
Do Alexander and Andreas dropship with AliExpress exclusively or do they use other stores as their suppliers? And if they use other stores which stores do they use? Please get back to me I would really like to know.

I'm starting getting into dropshipping and this video it's amazing. Thank you Oberlo
Great video, great guests!
All thanks to you Guys, you help Soo Much for this product. May God Bless your Team
you are welcome :-)
Thanks Guys , helpful info . Appreciate your honesty .
This is the best video i have seen
This is a very informative video for someone who is looking to start dropshipping. Thank you very much:)
They speak in plain English and I love it.
Hi! Question. Do you offer all these products in the same website? Or do you create a specific page for each one?
Good ideas. Great video. Thanks for sharing
I plan to try one general more general store AND a niche/one product store for testing.
Sounds like a good plan! -Jessica 🙂
Nice video. i enjoyed this video all situations. this will make more fun. thank you for sharing.
Thanks :D
can oberlo support any ecommerce platforms rather than shopify ?
The only reason I don't advice dropshipping environment-saving stuff is - When customers get the product they will hate you, they will get straws in a plastic bag wrapped to another plastic wrap lol.
Really great vídeo! 🎳
Thanks a lot !! :D
ha! this dude on the left looks like real life Champion from The Triplets of Belleville animated movie! Incredible!
you guys are so friendly. I loved you already. lol.
Glad you enjoyed the video! 😊 -Iris
Very good information for sure.
thanks all.
Really helpful. I'm just looking to begin
Awesome info. Do you guys create your ads directly from the Audience Insights page?
No we use the adsmanager and Canva
@@andreaskonig3424 Please where is adsmanager?
if someone can help would be great. when they create the store how many products they add? as i don't think they add only one :) ? you add let's sat 4-50 and you actually advertise only for one? or how it works? thanks.
Thanku for this great content guys and I need that back corrector 😀
Thanks
Good job guys...I need help with the audience and traffic at this point. Lot's to Learn truly....
Hey i want to ask what kind of stores do they sell this products on? Are they general stores where you can add different products later on or do they make one product stores for every product?
Appreciate this video. Thank you :)
-Jessica
This is so useful...thank you 🙏🏼
Great Video .. just wondering where is the best place to start "selling" these products if I am new to the market?
Very cool and informative 🌶🌶🌶 Thanks!
Great valuable content, thank you.
Hey Anthony, he is referring to Facebook Ads cost. He's saying that if it burns through twice as much as your profit margin (the price mark up on your products), it's best to kill the ad and try another. -Jessica
Very nice video and it explains a lot on the marketing as well...
How do i display products on descriptions on my website?
How did they set these stores up? General stores, niche stores that only had this product?
I hear a lot about up selling and cross selling and get other great ideas from these vids but, I am just starting out and can’t afford to buy another plug in every time I see a video. It would be great to know if there are totally free apps for things like up selling if that concept is mentioned in one of your videos. I enjoyed the ideas presented in this video, I am wondering just how current is this information? I just received an email back from the straw supplier and they are not willing to negotiate on the price. Also, I need some clarity for the video ad (specifically for the straws) did they use Facebook or Instagram ? Thanks
Great video and very helpful, but can you tell me if you sell your products as stand alone items or through Shopify?
Hy, we're using Shopify.
@@alexanderpecka do you use premium themes in your store? Do you buy apps?
Hey Paul! They are using Oberlo and Shopify to sell these items. 🙂 -Jessica
@@adeus6206 I use free themes, which are perfectly enough. Yeah i buy a lot of apps haha :D
was legit thinking about dropshipping that water bottle for a week now.
Nice guys and so truthful, best wishes to them and continuous success.
Where they did the interview? USA or Germany?
Facebook audience insights isn’t available anymore, is there a good alternative for this market research tool?
Good eye! -Jessica
Whats was the name of Andreas' favorite shopping site again? Thanks for great content!
Thank you. That was inspiring.
Hi Guys.. in the last part of video Andreas share how to find product or niche through facebook can you guys explain it how to do that in facebook
check out the facebook insights audience
Can't wait
Neither can we! 🚀 -Jessica
Thank you for your help? xx
They are running Facebook ads to their Shopify store! -Jessica
The answers to your other 2 questions is....you don't. Well your second question I'm not entirely sure, but you will have to talk with the supplier about private labeling, but chances are you would have to get them shipped first to yourself. Not sure if they'd dropship your private labeled product.
Hello perfect video but I just want to know if Alexander and Andrea open a different store for every product they mentioned in this video ?
We tested some of them in a general store and then opened a niche store for it
Hey there! These guys like to run niche stores, so unless the products fit under the same niche directly, they'll set up different stores! -Jessica 🙂
What do you guys recommend regarding a store niche in 2019, should it be a "micro-niche store", "macro niche store" or "generall niche store"?
Very useful video! Thank you. Could you please advise on the type of those 8-10 test campaigns on Facebook? Would you recommend traffic or conversions?
Hey there! You'll first want to run engagement (traffic) campaigns to see if they gain traction, if they show promise, then you'll adjust for conversions. Hope that helps! -Jessica
Thank you for the informative video. I would like to ask if all these items are sold in the same store? What is the store niche? Because each product here belongs to very different categories. Just wondering how you manage that.
Hey there! If the products are completely unrelated, you can assume they'd be sold in separate niche stores! -Jessica 🙂
