I use the following 135mm lenses: Asahi 135mm f/3.5 Super Takumar M42 (49mm filter) Fujinon 135mm f/3.5 EBC M42 (49mm filter) Nikkor 135mm f/3.5 AIS F-mount (52mm filter) Nikkor 135mm f/2 AIS F-mount (72mm filter) Zeiss 135mm f/2 APO Sonnar (77mm filter) I primarily use them in a 24/50/135mm lens kit for photojournalism, documentary, and portraits. All produce great images.
6:50 not a "mistake" bro. It's good to mix it up a bit when it comes to proportion and scale. If you did a large print of that image, you might be surprised on how it impacts. (speaking to your mate).
Back when I used to shoot with Fujifilm the 90mm was my go to lens for portraits (which is my specialty). I much preferred it over the 56 f1.2 as I found that lens somewhat slow to focus and unreliable compared to the 90mm. Hope you like yours!
@@VizionZine Bro I've been loving the lens!!! I've taken stellar shots with it and I love the look and feel. Fast focus, sharp at f/2, the butter bokeh and the compressed background is so hot.
100mm is more common to find used and a lot more reasonably priced and can also come in macro variations. Most 135mm don’t offer great focusing distances
I was on the fence (mainly due to price), but I was able to get a great discount on a brand new Sony 135 GM. I bought it and have not regretted it at all. I love this lens!
In APS-C mode (with a crop factor of 1.5) a 135mm F1.8 lens is equivalent to 202,5mm F2.7. So quite the same compression and bokeh as a 200mm F2.8. And maybe more flexibility indoors, if the 200mm 2.8 is a prime and not a 70-200mm.
This is actually one of my favourite videos of yours bro!!!
one of my favourite shoots to date !!! Had so much fun with you guys. Thank you for having me
Wooo thanks so much for joining!!! Hope we can do another one soon 🙌
135mm is a must for wedding videos. Creamy compression and chill at the very back! xD

This lens is perfect for this sort of activity. I forgot how much fun it is to do TFP.
Love the compression this lens gives - been on the wish list for a while! Great video fellas!
Really fun video and live that you both have your own styles that show the versatility of the lens.
Great video and perfect timing for me. I just ordered the Fuji 90mm f/2 which is 137mm ff equiv. 😀

@@YaYousef5 Good to hear! Yeah most of my favorite portrait taken on my X-T3 were done with the 90mm.

And also just 2.8. Comparing apples and oranges.
Wouldn’t it be apples to apples if they are both used for portraits?
Happy to see you doing videos on reviews about different lenses❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️..
Thanks so much dude! This is definitely one of my favs!
Great video! I have Rp and planning to buy 135 soon. Hello from Russia with love!

Did this lens need adjusting on the Sigma dock for the R5? I have the Sigma ART 50mm 1.4 & it's soft on my R5.
EF mount lens should not have to be calibrated because mirrorless cameras focus off of the sensor and not the lens line DSLRs.
Amazing bro🙌
Thanks so much!!
What adapter did you use for the R5
4:00 1/25??? Neither the lense nor the body is stabilized. What are you doing?😢
I have that same lens and I loooooove it. But now Canon is coming out with a f/1.4 135 and it'll ruin me
i need it
@@CARLO.OBRIEN DO IT
Dude its unreal isn't it! Canon don't do it hahaha it might send me bankrupt
@@BoodskiBro I second this. DO IT
@@TKNORTH The Sigma is good enough, if I am being honest, but having f/1.4 from 24 to 135 appeals to my OCD haha
Nice shots man.
I dont think this video does justice to the 135mm 1.8. Pair that lens with some lighting and you have a different animal on your hands.
I literally just said the same thing. I have the 135mm gm with the Sony A7V with 3 softboxes. Out the camera photos look edited already
love the 135mm
Such a great focal length!
its not a bigmistake when you shoot that far. if you shoot landscape mode rather than a portrait that would be better.
Carlo thought he had a telescope on his camera 😂. The shot still came out fire tho!
Haha 😂. I wasn’t thinking
haha my bro what a shoot. so much fun... come back to BRISBANE? ha p.s should I buy this lens?
So much fun bro! Love your shots you should DEFINITELY buy one. Missing Brisbane here stuck at home, ready for another trip haha
@@TKNORTH let’s do a trip
@@CARLO.OBRIEN lesssgo! Haha need it after this. where we headed?
Has this lens dropped yet. I can’t find it.
Waiting for the 105mm 1.4 video
Would be super keen to try it out!
amazing!
Nice bro
my 200mm f2.8 L is laughing at your 135 compression :D
