It really depends on the Amp you are planning to use. The Morels have lower Sensitivity and seem to require MORE power, so if you are looking for which speaker would work better with your stock (OEM) Amp set up, the Focals are more efficient and require less power.

60W is plenty for these as they have a "6" watt minimum! I'm powering mine from a stock Honda head unit/amp which has somewhere between 35-50wpc and they absolutely CRANK!

He has these wired to high end equipment i'd imagine. I have a set of infinity 60.7cs components and they sound like my buddies $500 kicker Q series 6.5 components. Infinity can sound amazing hooked up right. These focals do sound nice but these are the chinese model

Everybody was saying the same thing about how high pitched these are. I had the same idea to get a DSP and smooth it out. I could always tune it if I wanted additional high frequency. Great call
What I have noticed over the years of car audio industry... Focal once built their reputation raised prices up but sound quality (excluding utopia line) ... went down. I agree with Fred Tweeters are very harsh and woofers very decent nothing special. Overall not worth the money. In this way they are counting on stupid people who will buy their speakers no matter what because this is mighty Focal and Company can cut costs of production and save a lot of money for another research. Thats very smart ... Focal but I do not buy that shit thanks

The fact is: ALL things are subject and open to opinions, YOUR opinion seems to be that Focal is too expensive for the prices they charge, which is a completely VALID opinion. There are Toyota drivers that feel the EXACT same way regarding BMW's (or Audi's or Lexus, etc.). But if someone CAN afford them, why not? Is a millionaire (which I am not) supposed to buy a Toyota (or Mazda, or Honda, etc.) simply because of someone's opinion on it being a better VALUE, instead of buying a Beamer? If you can provide empirical data showing a $120 pair of Infinity's or JBL's are better than the $380 Focals, please feel free to present that here. I recently upgraded to two pairs of the 165AS and am quite pleased with them! Cheers!

got a set of these and they sound honky, bright and way too vocal for my taste, a dsp helped me smooth out the curve and they sound great now
