  • Customers and consumers demand more than just a functional product, they demand a product experience, so aesthetics and usability are just as important. SOLIDWORKS not only allows you to make great products and get them to market in record time, the product visualization capabilities allow you to present your product in real-world views.
In this video blog CAPINC Applications Engineer Chris Mowatt goes over the steps to set up your Realview Graphics in SOLIDWORKS, allowing you to create high resolution images from your SOLIDWORKS models, all without rendering.

mine does not have the option for realview graphics, is this dependent on GPU?

Yes it depends on your GPU, supported GPUs www.solidworks.com/sw/support/videocardtesting.html#_ga=2.103234051.2010318909.1572531758-1b181f60-abca-11e9-b2e1-e3d28b262d26

      yes - it is!
You need a certified GPU for this to work out of the box.
There are however a few undocumented registry entries to enable it on unsupported GPUs.

What if you would like to show the tangent lines in the image?

    Hi,
I am trying to save a Part or ASM as JPEG (.jpg) image,
but nothing happens. Weather I choose screenshot or high res. capture, it just don't work.
With TIF (.tif) there are no problems.
Is it a known bug or can I change some settings to be able to save as JPEG.
    Thank you very much.

What if you would like to include the tangent lines in your png? How do you accomplish that?
