i have one of these jackets with red wool & grey leather sleeves, but im planning to dye the wool and further customize it. As a woman it fits me nice and the bulky style is cute. I got size medium quilted interior so its interesting to see the difference of how a man and woman prefers fit so i feel like this video has helped me expand my considerations when fashion designing. That's actually the right fit for you. If you want the arms taken in then get it altered .. but varsity jackets are supposed to fit the way its fitting on you.. but never do the hoodie portion.. just go with the regular collar.. the waist is supposed to be an at the top of the pants look..
I got my jacket on another site and I got it a size bigger by accident but I think yours fits perfectly. It's just a different fit, the classic fit is thicker and bigger on the shoulders, sleeves and back because they're originally made for highschool athletes like football players with broad shoulders and all, the one you want is slim fit but I haven't seen a site that does slim fit letterman's, most of them do the classic style letterman. I got mine from Letter custom which is the cheapest site I found with quality jackets and letters.
SIR_Pierre yeah the guy from the site recommended small but I'm xs, I'm pretty short, I'm 1.68 and I weighed 60 kilos at the time but I lost muscle since I cant go to football because of the virus so it fits even bigger now, the jackets are thick and all but I like that style and I paid like 300 dollars but it had a lot of details, It had my embroidered name, my varsity letter, my football number in the right sleeve, my state on the back with an eagle and I even got some extra patches with chevrons for the years I been boxing and a boxing glove, I think you can get it for 169 dollars and with no details and just the plain jacket with real leather but I'm not sure. there's even promo codes in their Instagram and you get another promo code when your jacket arrives.
SIR_Pierre and the lining of the jacket also affects how the jacket looks the heavy weight lining makes the jacket hotter and bulkier, that's the one you got, the lighweight lining isn't that warm and makes the jacket look less bulky, that could help too.

I just ordered one last week and I'm hoping it fits (but I'm a female and much smaller than you, so I went with a small lol). Glad to hear the quality of it was nice though! I also got cream colored sleeves. It looks really nice. Glad to know I didn't get the hoodie either after seeing how big that hood is.
Yes the quality is nice, if I just could get the right size I would order again, and yes without the oversized hoodie. Just one more small thing, maybe it's just me though, but the fabric itches a bit, mostly in my neck.

So if anyone else is watching this and considering buying one, don't listen to the sizing tool on the website... It is completely wrong. I didn't get the hoodie, but the normal wool collar is still a little itchy.

I have found when I buy clothes that fit me tightly, in a matter of months of regular wearing the material conforms to ur range of motion, waistband stretches out, armpit openings widen out, etc. to the point the garment looks like a sack on me!!!
Buddy, that's a varsity Letterman jacket. It is NOT suppose to be thin. Those are real cowhide leather sleeves. They will always be thick. Your others are thin because they're fake leather aka faux leather and thin, cheap material. You should've known wool was going to be thick and warm. Besides that, your experience is why I'm hesitant to buy one. Even though i sized up and chose tall, I'm still afraid it'll be too small.

@@SirPierreSe found myself coming back to your video again. Your vid is the most informative on Stewart and Strauss jackets. I honestly think it fits you great except for that bulge in the back. Seems like this was a manufacturing issue. Although, they do say to allow up to 3cm tolerance give or take. The length is clearly way off and I hope you at least tried to contact them about it. You ordered your prefect size and they clearly made it wrong. Any updates?

Yes after some hassle they gave me a refund, so its like a paid for a standard jacket and got the custom text for free more or less. And that was after i sent them a bunch of pictures, so at the end i feel like they just understood that the jacket was made wrong, and wierdly that makes me curious to give them a second chance just to see hehe

It was kind of costum made with the letter "B" on the chest (.... and the same color-scheme as in Lethal Weapon 2). Package was sent from Plymouth, MI. I took your advise and went up a notch in size, and it fits perfectly. I am very happy with it. Thanks for your input. It may not be the last one i get.

I wish I watched this before ordering. I just got mine after 5 weeks and what a disappointment. It is like it’s made for short fat people as you said. I’m 5’6 155 ibs and got a medium based off their chart and the jacket is too short and stubby for me :(

I wish I had seen this video before ordering. Just received mine, also custom, and in super annoyed with the sleeves. They are supposed to be real leather and even though the label says it’s real leather I know it isn’t. They are stiff and plastic-y. I’ve got so many leather products and I’d never buy this if I saw it in a shop. And for that price...so big time annoyed

You are surely not a large tall, xl tall is truly your correct size. That jacket is a full cut jacket, not tapered/slim fit
I think the S&S maroon jacket looks good on you! The sleeve length looks correct. I think u have the quilted lining so it is NOT a summer jacket.

Good enough, not great, feels very thick, so the jacket isn't comfortable to wear for several reasons
