- The humble denim jacket is, quite possibly the most versatile piece of outerwear you can wear. They are a great garment. And they are simple garments being that you basically have three to five to choose from.
Levi’s Type 1, 2 and 3 the Lee Rider, and the Wrangler 124MJ. They are the staples. They are the archetypes. And they will do you just fine. But what if just fine just aint good enough? Well, not to worry. I got ya. Here are 2023’s five best denim jackets.

Oh. That’s great one. How are the fades?
Not sure yet but I suspect they're going to be very nice. I picked it up in Sept. 22 and have worn it quite a bit but probably won't give it a wash until the fall. The fabric remains a little stiff which I think may bode well for future fades.
A bit late but my favorite denim Jacket I've ever worn and just picked up is the Jelado "Age of Longing" Black Tag 407EXX, it's in 15oz "Last Resort Black Tag Denim" and a classic short boxy Type 1 fit. As a guy who is 161 cm or 5,3 ft tall but not skinny, finding a denim jacket that fits body and arm length wise is a nightmare and when I tried it on I just immediately knew i had to buy it.
Ah they are sick those ones. The denim is amazing. Shot one a while back. It was a full top to toe jelado fit.
Some of those Headges bespoke denim jackets are amazing.

Man, hard to disagree with any of these. Just curious if you've ever stumbled across Black Bear Brand. They show up on instagram every now and then for me, but I never really see them on say Raw Denim on Reddit. Nothing really pops up on youtube either. The One jacket grabs my eye, but not being able to see one in a store and try it on makes it hard to pull the trigger at that price. Just wondering if other people have ever run across them. Keep up the good work, man!

Yeah. It’s weird that a contemporary brand like nudie miss that out.
Check Tod Snyder denim jacket comes in sort of dark brown but the details in the oversized front pockets makes the difference and gives them a nice style

but ordered XL and should have gone 2XL. My slimmer son is pleased with my mistake :-). XL in the Tellason is perfect.

Corduroy, usually for comfort (when flipped up)
I mean obviously a fashion choice too, but "real world practicality" purposes, it's for comfort
Comfort and the cord collar would help to wick the rain away somewhat due to the vertical weave.
