Where did you find a live rock kit drum

You may need to download the content from the Sound Library. When you're selecting an instrument and you're on the 'Drums' instrument screen, instead of selecting 'Smart Drums', select 'More Sounds'. Then select 'Go To Sound Library'. This is where you can download all of the sounds for the different instruments, including the drums. Does this help?

So this turns all of your drum elements into audio files, but what is the best drum option for midi file manipulation?

Hi DJ Micaiah. For whatever reason, Apple has not given the ability to edit the midi that Smart Drums generates. I have come up with a solution for this and am creating a tutorial to work around this Garageband limitation.
