I kinda hate this question, because it should be something that means anything to you specifically, but here we go; I could imagine a nice composition of the 3 Deathly Hallows.
Draco’s mother Narcissa betrayed Voldemort. She asks Harry if Draco is still alive, knowing he went to confront him. Harry nods slightly and Narcissa lies and says he is dead. Twice Voldemort was defeated by a mother’s love for their son; Lily’s sacrifice and Narcissa’s sole intention to keep Draco safe
The only issue I have with this is that narcissa could have ased if draco was alive and she could have still claimed harry dead, because everthing she needs has been given to her and ik she was never a death eater but it felt that she lost her respect for voldemort way too easily. Just my opinion
@@jxy8938 I think she lost her respect for Voldemort when he punished Lucius and made her teenage son a death eater out of spite, putting him on the dangerous mission of trying to kill Dumbledore. That done it and they were only ''loyal'' out of fear. Yet? She was kinda brave saying Harry was dead. Imagine if Harry had lost, and Voldemort won?

The theater's reactions to Ms Weasley killing Bellatrix and Neville killing the snake will forever be two of my all time best theater moments. Place went NUTS.
I was lucky enough to get into the premier of endgame and watch this on its release date. So many hard core fans at both. The reaction to Neville killing Nagini was exactly the same as the moment Cap took the hammer
Alex, I can see tears almost comin in from seeing Snape's story. Did you know Alan Rickman wanted to quit playing Snape. And the J.K. Rowling actually told him how his story ended. He loved it soooo much, he continued to play the character soooo well. He knew the secret, but he kept that secret from everyone. Nobody knew it.
Well, that's not entirely true....Alan only thought about quitting because he saw Snape as this 2 dimension villain, and wanted to talk to Jo about it. I can't say I blame him. For all the great body of world Alan has done, there are still some people that only see him as a villain.
Must have felt a little like winning the actor's lottery. He's got a role he's not loving, it seems boring and meaningless and no actually it's pretty much the linchpin of the whole story and all of his talents will be demanded to bring audiences worldwide to tears.
15:23 if you look closely you can see Snape redirects her spells into the two death eaters behind him and he takes their wands before going out the window. Snapes character has so much depth but you never realize how deep till the last movie.
he did stop close to both of them but yes the sister as her wond in hands, make me wander why he jump at both like that...but defently did this nice moove in purposse to take out the others.... clever @@kylaia3155
I've seen reactors who couldn't wrap their heads around that; they said that it WAS Hermione playing Bellatrix poorly, instead of a brilliant Helena Bonham Carter playing Emma Watson playing Hermione playing Bellatrix.
It’s not commonly known unless you’ve read the books, but when Harry Potter went to the forest and sacrificed himself, he put protection on everyone at Hogwarts, the same protection Lily placed on Harry. So when Voldemort hits Neville with a spell, Neville doesnt die because he was protected.
@@mrmr4622 It is, actually. The final book reveals that Harry's sacrifice gave the combatants at Hogwarts the same protection Lily gave him so the Death Eaters were struggling now to defeat people.
@@mrmr4622 Yeah it was mentioned when Voldemort kept trying to silence the crowd after Harry's death in the book and it would not work. When Harry confronts him he tells him that he has now sacrificed himself for the people there and Voldemort can no longer hurt them.
Same .and I've just watched the series in the past 2 days for the first time For me that few minutes of Snape's memory is more amazing and special than the whole 8 movies.
15:21 notice how snape does not fight back against McGonagall, he only redirects her spells to the deatheaters at his sides. I always loved this detail
30:22 In the books they established that a patronus can change to match the one we love. Lily Potter’s patronus was a doe. Snape’s changed to match Lily’s and up until his death it never changed. So when Dumbledore says: “Lily… after all this time?”. He is really saying: “You still love her… after all this time?”. Snape’s reply will always send a shiver down my spine because I (and now you) know the context: “Always…”.
@@johanluisrivas8016 Its based off the memories of things you loved the most usually, But Harry never really knew his father, yet he has a stag like his father. Harry's really has nothing to do with his family at all, its about him finding out he was a wizard. Its "usually" about the thing or person you love, but not always.
In the books Tonks' patronus changes when Sirius dies. It becomes a wolf. That cause she loves her cousin (Sirius) and it pained her so much it changed on its own
Harry’s speech to Voldemort at the very end was one of my favourite parts of the book. The way he explains to Voldemort that he literally made the same mistake as he did by killing Lilly, and how he has protected everyone in hogwarts with the same magic as Lilly did with Harry….. criminal that it wasn’t in the movie.
So many parts the omitted or changed it totally ruined the ending. Harry explaining to everyone in the great hall how voldermort screwed up and showing everyone the truth that some only half believed it was the most satisfying bit the ultimate told you so to everyone there who doubted, also Harry in Dumbledores office using the elder want to repair his damaged wand back to life with the original then been laid back to rest with Dumbledore. The battle with the house elves taking part including Kreacher who Harry had won over by giving him Regulus's locket, all omitted to save CGI budget. Or the impressive scene in the book where Harry and Voldermorts wands first battled & forced priori incantatum to be cast the book made it something amazing to witness with them both been lifted from the ground in a golden cage of light, in the film it looked rubbish & nothing like the book. The story fully deserved to be told with respect to the books but was chopped up and ruined.
Agree. I loved that part in the book. When harry explains that Dumbledore planned everything. And that nobody else will die because harry protected them with the same spell his mother protected him.
@@jessy8a10 But I thought the spell that His Mother used to protect Him happened bcz of His Mother's love to Him so does that mean that exact Spell actually easier to use or Harry Love to Hogwarts on same level as Lily's love to Harry👁️👄👁️ So It actually very easy to use but why Other didn't use such EZ Spells
It's explained in the books, that patronuses are like representations of the soul, so when you get a matching pair like Harry's parents, a doe and a stag, then those people are said to be soulmates. However, it's also said that when someone loves another so deeply, their patronus can change to match the one they love. Snape's patronus changed into a doe because he loved Lily so deeply. In the books, the same happens to Tonks, whose patronus changes into a wolf like Lupin's because she's madly in love with him, and they have their own story arc.
Though the concept of soulmates is never mentioned anywhere and doesn't exist in this universe. Lily and James are the only couple that has this kind of coincidence (matching patronuses).
Nobody talks about how Slughorn went from being so afraid of Voldemort that he went into hiding and wouldn’t even work for Hogwarts because he didn’t want to be associated with Dumbledore and the order to actually duelling Voldemort along with Kingsley and McGonagall. That’s growth! He didn’t have Dumbledore to protect him anymore.
@@dm_dude still, he could have escaped but he chose to fight. He said himself, luck will only get you so far. Battling Voldemort himself was brave. Huge character development there.
I think it was natural progression for the character. It was easier, and maybe what he thought was his only way to survive, by hiding at home, since he was alone against a bunch of death eaters, and going back to Hogwarts, a place that reminded him of Tom and what he had done, was something he didn’t want to face and overcome. When he finally went back, he became close to Harry and the other students. You could tell that Slughorn was always a really good teacher. He cared for his students and was a mentor to them. That’s why the innate trusting of Tom Riddle. He was the opposite of Snape and used positive reinforcement. He never demeaned or abused his students. When he finally gave Harry the horcrux memory, and neither Harry nor Dumbledore blamed or judged him for what he had done, he felt unburdened and grateful, because it was a guilt that he had been carrying for years. I think at that point is when he started to feel indebted to them. Plus, being around the other students and teachers who were fighting, also gave him courage. He cared too much for the school and the students at that point to run away.
I started reading the books as an adult before the first movie was released. I was the only grandmother standing in line for the next book at the bookstore. Read them all multiple times. Bought first three movies on VHS, replaced them with DVDs and now have them on Blue Ray. Watch the whole series a couple times a year. At 71, still the best movie series I have ever seen.
I was 20 when the first book came out, and I stumble over it by accident. After the first book i was hooked for sure. Every year ad christmas I got the new book and I was gone for two days to inhale the book and wait for another year. The books where printed in a little town near my home. And I knew a couple of poeple working in that printing house. After the first book went wild, they put up very high security which got higher with every book. Some could not stand the power of beeing the first to have it, stol books and got fired. It was a very akward time, but soooo exciting. 😁 And yes, I watsh the movies and read the books and lisening to audio books several times in year.
You are very cool for doing that. Usually adults don't like harry potter in my family, they dismiss it as if it's a fantasy story for children, only my youngest aunt who is now 40yrs old have read all the books and watched all the movies, and she was the one who introduced harry potter to me in 2011.
Same here I was 51 when I read the first book to see whether it stood up to the commotion; and had read the first three or four before I saw the first movie and got every book after that the night it released and blocked out the next day for nothing else! I had Harry Potter Marathons with my grandkids when we could get the movies on DVD.
Whatever else Narcissa Malfoy was, she was a brave loving mother. To look Voldy straight in his face- and lie to him! Just to get back to the castle and hopefully get her son out of danger. That's courage.
First Harry was saved by his mothers love , then saved by the love of Miss Weasley after taking him in and making him part of the family and then finally Narcissa love for Draco saved Harry. The Love of a mother is strong.
Yes, being so skillful at lying that it's imperceptible even to a psychopathic dark lord is definitely a sign of true courage 👌 It's more likely that she's actually a coward and can't live up to what Voldemort is building so she's trying to get out of it and get back to being rich and comfortable with her family.
@@hiddeninplainsight9131yeah? That’s what the comment was saying, she was looking out for her and her family instead of committing to the evil guy lmao

I am honestly shocked at the amount of people who have never heard of or understand the implication of a "life debt" - - - Malfoy saved Harry's life by claiming he didn't recognize him, Harry repaid the debt by saving Malfoy from the fire
draco did not save harry's life, he was just so scared to say anything. he couldn't take the responsibility of his answer. but he verified that she was hermione so he basically gave them away anyways. he was always a coward
19 years later... Ginny and Harry have 3 kids: James Sirius, Albus Severus and Lily Luna. Also Harry is the godfather of Teddy Lupin. Ron and Hermione have 2 kids: Rose and Hugo. Draco Marries Astoria Greengrass who also attended Hogwarts. They have a son named Scorpius Malfoy. Draco seemed to change his ways, as he doesn’t believe in the whole blood purity thing and neither does his wife. He vows not to be like his father and shows his son love, affection and support. After the war, McGonagall became a headmistress of Hogwarts and Neville works there as a herbology teacher. Also George married Angelina Johnson (the girl Fred asked to the Yule Ball in 4th movie) and their son's named after Fred.
The invisibility cloak has ran through the Potter family for Generations. Dumbledore was borrowing it when his father died and returned it to Harry when he got the chance. Harry is the descendant of the wizard that got the invisibility cloak from death and it's been passed from father to son since then.
I didn't know that. for that matter, wasn't it three brothers who got the deathly hallows, so he is indirectly related to all three original owners, right? unless there are other decendants of each brother, then he is ultimately the proper inheritor of each item.
Harry's father was a descendant of the Peverell brothers, the three brothers in the story. If you look closely, when Harry and Hermione were in the graveyard in Godric's Hollow, the last name Peverell was on the headstone, along with the sign for the Deathly Hallows.
@@LOTRFAN33 Well… He kinda inherited it… I think he stole it from his uncle, who he then framed for his father’s family’s deaths or something… So it apparently passed down his family line, but he didn’t inherit it in the normal way… Unless I’m remembering incorrectly.

Something interesting about the duel with Snape, if you watch him deflect the attacks, he deflects them into the 2 other death eaters behind him, then as he fled he stole their wands before he dipped
@@CAMCOH89 Just in case McGonnagal neglected to take them or secure the Death Eaters before they woke up. Since Snape swiped their wands, they're essentially powerless even against a room of wizard children.
@@WhiteWolfDarkpaw don't remember that detail from books. Is McGonagall the one who took their wands after Snape's escape? Maybe Snape just checked if Carrows were unconscious after McGonagall's attack.
@@CAMCOH89 in the book she already has both of them (Alecto stunned by Luna, Amycus crucio’ed by Harry then put under the imperius curse by McGonagall) disarmed and magically bound before she meets Snape.

I was so happy at the end of the last movie video when you said that now you wanted to read the books. I really hope you do. Maybe you could do that before you watch the movies again. Just sayin'. I loved taking this journey with you, and am so glad you got hooked!
Out of all the wizards and witches there ,when I realised Molly was the one taking down Voldemort’s best follower, I couldn’t control my tears and happiness. Molly deserved that last heroic moment. She lost her son, her house, Bellatrix nearly killed Ginny with that shot. Molly had to step up. She wasn’t letting her another child die and my god mama bear nailed it!
Didn't Bellatrix kill Mollys twin Brothers too? But you have to remember Bellatrix lost her wand, so mamma Weasley need not have known or used savage curses.
One of my favorite lines ever written in an HP fanfic was in a post-Hogwarts story where Harry is losing his $hit at a bunch of “fence-sitters” and says, “Where were you when a *housewife* killed Bellatrix Lestrange?!”
Some answers for you: 1. Dumbledore had the cloak because Harry's father lent it to him to study. Dumbledore was obsessed with the deathly hallows. 2. Luna doesn't end up marrying Neville. She marries the grandson of Newt Scamander. 3. Neville ends up the herbology professor at hogwarts. 4. Harry/Ginny have 3 kids: James, Lily, and Albus. Albus does get sorted to Slytherin. 5. Hermione is the minister of magic. Ron works as an auror (magic cop) after the movies, then goes to work with his brother George at the joke shop. 6. Harry becomes an auror, then ends up running that whole department at the department of magic. 7. McGonagall is the new headmaster at Hogwarts. 8. Ginny plays quiddich professionally, retires to have children with Harry, then ends up as the quiddich correspondent at the daily prophet. 9. Harry and Voldemort are distant cousins. They're both decended from the Peveril family. Harry from the brother with the cloak, and voldemort from the brother with the stone.
And Harry's father had it because one of the Peverell brothers made it (or got it from death, according to the tales), and Harry and his father are descendants from the Peverell's. Edit: I commented before the last paragraph.
The patronis charm a memory that is insanely happy. Lilly's charm was a Doe, Lilly was Snape's happiest memory, so Snape's patronis took on the same shape as Lilly's. A Doe. Just like when Harry thought his dad saved him. It made him insanely happy. Only to find out it was himself. That's why Harry's stag was just like his dad's. Which was also a stag
Snape has a doe because of his love for Lily, not necessarily because she was the memory. Tonks had a wolf patronus after she fell in love with Lupin, before that it was a rabbit.
@@MrZKR2391 I don’t think that’s strictly how it works, but it does potentially make sense and might be a cool idea… That said, I don’t think Harry knew about the stag until after he conjured it… Also, Harry uses various memories to conjure it, most of which don’t necessarily involve his dad or stags, so I’m guessing that it’s more to do with a sense of self than the memory you use… I may be wrong though… Either way, it is a cool idea, I think.
I love that you got to experience the movies without the burden of having read the books, its how it was for me and i feel like you could appreciate how well made they were despite having things cut from the story and now everytime you learn something knew itll be a bonus, and thats awesome!
I know exactly what you mean! I, unfortunately cannot truly appreciate the movies because I read the books first and they are just so, so, so much better... I saw the lord of the rings movies before I read the books - and I still appreciate the movies very much (although the books still are a lot better). It's much better in most cases first to watch the movies and then read the books, I think.
I read the books and loved the movies. I really wish they followed the books closer but I still appreciate the films for what they are. Im of both sides to be honest.
38:06 This is what Dumbledore was referring to when he said: "Help will always be given at Hogwarts to those that deserve it", and the sword presented itself to a worthy and deserving Gryffindor
Everyone who hasn't seen these movies I feel like underestimates how good they actually are. Incredible filmmaking from start to finish and its insane that they pulled that off, like they could have messed up at any point but they didn't. An amazing part of my childhood and just part of the furniture in the UK now, I think there is even a channel on TV that exclusively plays them all in order back-to-back. Loved sharing the journey with you.
Cutting the trip to Ravenclaw tower robbed us of two great moments: 1. Cho offering to take Harry, and Ginny shutting that down real quick and telling Luna to take him 2. Harry torturing Alecto Carrow for spitting in Professor McGonagall's face.
Weather you like JK or not you can’t deny the fact that she created one of the biggest and most successful franchises of all time. The way she wrote this world into existence is stunning and beautiful. Each character’s development and arc is amazing aside from the cop out on Dracos redemption.. aside that it’s amazing
100% agree, amazing writing, great characters, wonderful world and just a stellar storyline. Couldn't care less about the drama around her, as an author that woman is right up there with the best.
I do care about the drama around her. It's a pity that someone with such a huge following and influential voice would choose to use it to devalue (and endanger!) the lives of people who have done her no personal harm, at least none that she's mentioned. Nevertheless, you are correct, you can't argue with her results. She is, in that respect, brilliant!
I don’t believe Draco’s redemption is a complete cop out. Maybe for his parents, or at least his father… But if you think about it, Draco knew nothing else, he basically just emulated his parents and repeated everything they told him. Which is what children tend to do until they are old enough to see the world through their own eyes and experiences. Draco craved his father’s approval and his fear of Voldemort kept him on the wrong side even when he started to question it. Granted he did some horrible things, but being saved by Harry might have been the last push he needed to fully see the truth. At the end of this movie I often wonder what type of adult he became, if he’s just as narcissistic as his parents or if he’s tried to be a better person, and if he carries any guilt for his past. I can’t remember how much was answered in the book, it’s been a while since I read them. Seeing them walk away from the fight and not take sides was anything but a redemption, it was probably seen as cowardly by the wizarding community forever after, and it shows that they were always in it for themselves until it was no longer beneficial… Draco at least glimpsed what real sacrifice and heroism was, and he had to live on with the guilt knowing what part he played.

Snape's reveal was beautifully done and amazingly acted by Alan Rickman. I read the books first, so I knew it was coming, but it still made me bawl. Still does, in fact. Really enjoyed watching your reaction to this series. :)
Please read! Some cool things you might find awesome: 1) During the scene where Snape duels Mcgonagall in the great hall, Snape purposely bounces her spells back towards the death eaters behind him in an effort to keep the students safe but still keep his disguise as a Voldemort loyalist. Subtle, but really shows how much of a genius Snape was and how he continues to always sacrifice himself. 2) In book, Slytherin students and professors are given a choice to fight alongside the other houses. Some choose to side with Harry (including Professor Slughorn). As you can imagine, that must be difficult as many children’s parents are death eaters or supporters of Voldemort. 3) When Harry, Ron, and Hermione are running to the boathouse and have to cross the Hogwarts courtyard which is a battlefield - there is a homage to the major challenges the trio has faced together previously. In sequential order, they dodge a troll (book 1), spiders (book 2), warewolf and demontors (book 3), etc. 4) Snape was never the master of the elder wand. Dumbledore purposefully let Draco disarm him in the tower at end of book 6 prior to Snape killing him to ensure the wand passes to Draco. There was a lot of luck going forward, including Harry disarming Malfoy at Malfoy manor prior to the death of Dobby. Therefore Harry was the master of the elder wand from that point forward (unknowingly). So when Voldemort kills Snape, he effectively kills him for no reason. During the final duel between Voldemort and Harry, the elder wand is used against its own master and it does not work as intended for Voldemort. And of course so much more! If you want to know how amazingly thought out this story was from the start, I urge you to read the books! From way deeper character growth, to Voldemorts story and how he even chose each horcrux, there’s much much more to experience and the movies are just the tip!
To your first point: Snape also manages to take the wands of the incapacitated Death Eaters. Before he jumps out of the window in his shadow form, he makes two quick stops: these are the exact locations where the wands were laying on the ground. He wanted to make sure the death eaters can't hurt the children or McGonagall.
Dumbleton didn't intend for Draco to disarm him. He hoped the wands power would die because Snape was killing him on his orders, meaning he was never defeated.
One issue I always had was Voldemort disintegrating. In the books his lifeless body was there for everyone to see. There was something very satisfying about that in the books.
Yes, that way there'd be no question he was dead and didn't manage to 'escape' - especially since, in the movie, Harry and Tom are dueling without anybody nearby to see Tom go up in ashes - his followers might still think he could return. With a body lying there, harder to think he'll return.
@@kisili7319 It was more to emphasize the fact that even in the end, he was still only human. And died, like any other human would, nothing special about him.
I know why they want something more "movie type" but I like that he really die like everybody because he was just a human, he had a mundane death as Lily, James, Cedric
@@WhiteFangofWar yeah I know why they did, but I didnt like it, I was excepting him die like everybody because que was better than the other, but I know why they did it, they wanted something more spectacular
If you liked the visual effects in this movie, you can thank my brother for that. He was one of the senior digital compositors in this movie 😊 In his show reel the moment where the statues jump down is so amazing, since he synced it with a very powerful music section. Also when Voldemort dies, the ashes flaking of is my favorite of his work. It’s just so well done!
In the scene where Snape fights McGonagall if you pay attention you see Snape expertly redirect McGonagall's spells directly into his two death eater guards before running away. He's keeping up appearances but doing everything he can to help in that moment.
@@ka1serrfps I know I’ve read the books in the books he’s a better character like I also don’t understand why they removed he scene in ravenclaw common room
Her death is tragic, but part of the tragedy is that we can understand the type of person Lavender really was. When she was a bigger part of the story, all we saw was a sickeningly infatuated teenager -- concentrated cringe in the form of a person. But the fact that she was there at the Battle of Hogwarts putting her life on the line for the cause speaks volumes about the person she had become (or maybe always was).
Lavender’s death was one of the most tragic in the entire movie. Also, I’m pretty sure he did notice, but mistook Lavender for Romilda Vane at 37:02. Romilda Vane ultimately survives the Battle at Hogwarts during the Second Wizarding War. She later becomes involved with the Ministry of Magic I believe.
16:23 I've always loved this moment because it reminds me that McGonagall was there when he was dropped off on the Dursleys' doorstep as a baby. She has always looked after Harry in her way.
When Aberforth casts that powerful patronus he is probably thinking of a really powerful memory. I like to think it is about the good times when Ariana was still alive and their family was together.
Aberforth is an upgrated version of Dumbledore. He's a poweful wizard, but lost his faith at magic (and almost everything) because life took so much from him. I honor Aberforth so much.
Some people seem to forget that Snape Says 'Always' and then when Harry talks to his parents with the Ressurection stone, James says 'until the end', whereas lily matches Snape and says 'Always'... That little detail always brings a tear to my eye!

with the patronuses, I've always seen the fact that James has a stag and Lily has a doe as a sign that they were truly made for each other. Snape being so in love with Lily that his patronus mimics her animal is a sign of his devotion, but also a sign they were never destined to be together, they weren't a real match
Never going to get over the fact they deleted the scene where Draco throws Harry his wand, that would have been a great way for Malfoy to really redeem himself

It shows that Dumbledore knew back when he found out how Voldemort came back. The moment he knew that he used Harry's blood he knew that Voldemort made his fatal mistake. If you're not fan of physical books, the Harry Potter audiobooks ARE AWESOME, so I'd recommend that so you get into everything the movies didn't include. For now, mischief managed. Knox.
My FAVORITE thing about the polyjuice Beletrix scene: That is HBC doing her best impression of what she thinks Emma Watson's impression of the way she plays her own character THEN they ADR Hermione's lines over HBC's lines. So that is Emma, covering the lines of HBC, whom was playing Emma's mannerisms while she plays Hermione whonis doing the mannerisms of Beletrix. There are so many fun layers to that scene and you just know those two had to spend so much time working together to get it just right.
🥰Molly Weasley only had six boys because she was determined to have a girl - and hence a witch - because she knew her family's magic is strong on the female side. And her line when protecting Ginny is a shout out to Sigourney Weaver as Ripley in Aliens.😁
Wow I love that. I just wished they would've cast someone else. I respect the effort throughout the whole series, but damn... Bonnie looked so odd playing the role of Ginny, even in the last instalments. A missed opportunity for such a strong character.
I dunno where you got that from. She had six boys only to get to a witch because they are strong in their family?! Like what kinda son hating woman are you trying to make her ? Where in the book does it ever say that.
@@sentosaco To be fair, I’ve heard that she has played a similar role much better in something else… It might potentially also be the writing and/or directing for the character that caused her not to impress… Though I haven’t seen the role in question, so I don’t know for sure.
@@sentosaco I think both Ron and Ginny were made dirty in the movies. We laghed with book Ron but At movie Ron. We admire book Ginny, but cringe a bit when it comes to movie Ginny. I'm absolutely sure both Grint and Wright would have done their characters justice if only the script writer and directors had let them.
I'm sorry, but you can't blame Steve Kloves for supposedly bad screenwriting, he did a commendable job. There was no reason for such an uninspiring and flat representation of Ginny.
15:11 This is probably the best example that shows Snape still being the good guy, when prof. McGonogall stepped in he hesitated for a second cause he didn't wanna hurt her but still had to play the role of a villain, plus here at 15:21 you can clearly see how he purposely bounced the blows into the death eaters behind him so Hogwarts would be "free" once he leaves.
@@AlleluiaElizabeth no he doesn’t. In the scene after, you can clearly see Alecto’s wand still there. It’s a popular fan belief that is wrong. He doesn’t take the wands.
They explain it better in the book. Your patronus is kind of a representation of your personality, what's in your soul. When something happens or you meet someone that shakes the very foundation of who you are on a fundamental level, your patronus can change to reflect that. Lilly was a part of Snape (he was fundamentally changed the day he met her), so his patronus matched hers when he learned to create it. It's worth noting, most death eaters could not produce a patronus. Sidenote: In the books, Tonks's patronus changes to a wolf to represent Lupin's place in who she has become.
"Always" was such a great moment. When you go back and watch them all over, it just seems different after seeing Snape be a huge player. Snape and Neville. MVP's
6:18 Potters are descendants of the Peverell brothers ( creators of deathly hallows), the youngest brother - Ignotus Peverell who owned the invisibility cloak passed it to the next generation before he died. Young Dumbledore was very passionate about finding deathly hallows but dropped that idea after what happened to his sister. years later he found out that James Potter had The Invisibility Cloak and borrowed it for a few days. Potters were killed and he couldn´t return it, so after 10 years he gave it to Harry.
interesting. The naming of the children were the worst part for me. Snape was still an asshole a lot of times to harry and a lot of others. So it made no sense to name one child after him.
It never made sense for me. Snape was a straight up traitor. He served Voldemort and when found out about the prophecy and that Lily might be in danger, he went to Dumbledore for help. And then, after Harry lived, he hated him, just because he hated his father, and somewhat "cared" for him because Dumbledore ordered him to, and because he had Lily's eyes. I never seen anything "noble" in Snape, his only motive was only his psychotic love for Lily, nothing more.
@@gerwalt668 Wellp, there's a lot I can say to disprove most of what you said but, you'll likely counter argument so I will just say this. You are entitled to your own opinion good sir or madam.
Clearing up a common misconception about the Bellatrix Wand scene: Everyone at this point knows about the struggle that took place at Malfoy Mannor. Someone as high profile as Bellatrix LeStrange losing her wand is going to be known by a fair amount of people; including these goblins. Hermione made the right decision denying the request to show the wand. Lessens the risk of being suspected as the thieves.
Fun fact, in the book to these last two movies, Harry used the elder wand at the very end to repair his own wand, which of course broke when Hermione used Depluso on Nagini disguised as Bathilda Bagshot, the old woman in the village in part one. After that, he also broke it in the book, saying that no one should ever have this sort of power. I really loved these reactions, which were also the reason that I found this channel, so keep it up
these have been fun to rewatch with you as host😄 If you do delve into the books and want to incorporate that into your channel (or maybe just for you own personal amusement) I would recommend keeping some sort of running tally of "The books did this part better" vs "The movies did THAT part better" Found it fun to compare thoughts on that with the whole family as we ran through the audio books in my house. Thanks as always.
Yes, a very good idea. It will add so more meaning and understanding to the experience. And you will understand how they truly waisted the Harry and Tom Riddle battle. And also how Kreacher literally came in and helped save the Day. That alone would have taken 10 seconds max. P.S They Robbed poor old Dobby of so much his lines and scenes, giving what he did and said to other actors. And Neville's growth was far better in the books. The actor who played him, did a superb job. Just that they skimped out on his lines too. And Ron is far smarter in the books too, Hermione is still absolutely brilliant, but they gave too much of what Ron did in the books, to Hermione.
@@alexhefnerstvmovievaultThe books are so dense and full of characters, stories and details that you can do countless movies about them. There's a channel in my country that does it for years now. For exemple, the entire Voldemort life Story, or Snape story, othet characters that didn't appear and their roles, the marauders full story, even parts of the books that weren't in the movies. There's a lot to do with this universe since it's huge and complex and so well written, I'd love to have you rewatching them and now reacting to the picking the details you didn't pick first time for exemple. 😊
@@alexhefnerstvmovievault The Harry Potter audiobooks are amazing. The narrator won several awards for his performance. He imitates every character perfectly.
In the movie Bedknobs and Broomsticks from 1971, they use a spell called Piertotum Locomotor to animate statues and suits of armors. It's funny that MvGonagall uses Locomotor here for the same thing, then says she always wanted to use that spell. :)
As a Potterhead I have genuinely enjoyed your HP reactions Alex. The jumpscares were hilarious 😂 And you're a fellow Hufflepuff 🖤💛🖤💛 Thanks heaps mate!
Yes they had Bellatrix's wand, but the wand was also reported stolen, stolen by Harry Potter, so showing it would not only give them away but also catch Harry immediately
@@Joeysaladsloveryea. It’s not made clear enough but it was the movie solution to a longer scene with more characters and dialogue in the book (Hermione actually does show it which is why the Gringotts guards realize she’s 100% an impostor, and it’s why Harry has no choice but to use the Imperius curse on the goblin and the nosy bystander who’s also a death eater).
Literally would LOVE if you did re-reactions to all of the movies now that you’ve watched them and know why things happened as they did. Think it would be so much fun!!!!!! PLEASE consider this, it would make me genuinely so happy😭😭😭
It's a misconception that you have to kill the owner of the elder wand just because that's how everyone had taken it before becuase I'd imagine it's easier to just kill the owner of the most powerful wand in the world while they're defenseless/asleep so voldemort was wrong about that. Unfortunately, luna and nevile didn't stay together. Luna ended up marrying a scamander which after you watch the fantastic beasts movies that will make a lot more sense😂. Molly "saying not my daughter" hurts more when you realize she just lost one of her sons. I feel like this movie more than the others relies on the viewers to have read the books.
Neville and Luna are such unsung heroes. Nevile ultimately destroyed Voldemort by killing the snake (Nagini) and Luna realizing that Harry needed to talk to Rowena Ravenclaw. I hated Snape so much throughout the series; seeing that he was just looking out for Harry was heartbreaking. This entire series was amazing, and you definitely need to read the books. Also, your wife is adorable and it would be cool if she did a reaction with you. :)
Actually the prophecy was this : "The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches... born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies... and the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal, but he will have power the Dark Lord knows not... and either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives... the one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born as the seventh month dies...." This prophecy was refering to some baby who is born at the end of July, both Harry and Neville were born in that period of time, so the prophecy can be interpreted that both Harry and Neville are "the one with the power to vanquish the dark lord"
Your reaction to Snape’s memories has been the thing I’ve been looking most forward to. I’m glad it was worth the wait. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, Snape loved Lily with all his heart so he protected her son with all his strength.
I get the feeling of emptyness when you get to the ending of Harry Potter. I read the books after watching the films and the feeling was even worse, because the journey was much much crazier and full of details.
I’d recommend watching some of the deleted scenes that didn’t make the final cut (especially the ones with the Dursleys and the one with Draco) it adds more depth to their characters that you don’t see in the end product.
But the Draco scene was just fantasy - never happened in the book - so the theatrical scene was probably better even if not as satisfying for character development.
@@kisili7319very true, but I always wondered where Harry got that wand from until I saw that. It just gave closure on that small tiny mistake with the finished film
To many, Alan Rickman is the most perfect casting and most brilliant acting as Snape in these movies. He drops subtle hints all along his true feelings and intentions to Harry and others, while trying to hide them as well
If you didn't notice, at 15:19 Snape directed the spells to the death eaters in order to protect everyone and then took their wands before flying off. Snape was the true hero in the end, all he wanted to do was protect people
@@aaa-dk6jrnah not true. In the books it's pretty clear that Snape becoming head of hogwarts was always the plan to protect Hogwarts. Hes always protecting the school.
The snape scene in this movie is prolly my favorite scene in the entire movie. It is shot so well, the music is perfect, I basically cry every time I watch it 😭

The significance of harry snapping the wand is one of those things you only really get if you read the books - but basically, being master of death is a fools errand, anyone who is capable of attaining it shouldn't want it. Whenever anyone tries, it inevitably becomes their downfall, like the brothers in the story (except the one with the cloak, who had the right idea in the end and accepted death on his terms). This includes Dumbledore, who knew better, but still couldn't resist - the reason his hand is so messed up for the later movies is that when he got hold of the resurrection stone he couldn't resist trying to use it to see his dead sister again, except it's cursed so it ruined his hand (and would have killed him eventually, if he didn't die anyway). Dumbledore was terrified of possessing all three, because he knew he wouldn't be able to resist using them, and being, well, Dumbledore, this is not good for the universe. So the scene where harry snaps the wand, though slightly different to how he handles it in the movies, is supposed to prove that he had a power that even Dumbledore didn't have - the ability to possess all of the hallows and still reject being master of death despite the temptation.
Actually the reason Dumbledore’s hand is messed up is because he wore Voldemorts ring which was a horrocrux and the ring possessed a powerful poison that kills the wearer slowly, That’s why dumbledore settled on Snape killing him because he was a dead man anyway the problem with the resurrection stone, is that it doesn’t bring the actual people back, it just allows you to see the memories and parts of them that live in you and when you focus on the ghosts of the past for so long it causes depression and melancholy to the point of suicide.
An extra detail: just like Lily’s love and sacrifice protected Harry as a baby, Harry’s love for his friends and his sacrifice of himself in the forest to spare them from Voldemort protected them in turn. In the second half of the fight after Harry “died”, no one on his side lost their lives because they were protected from Voldemort.
WHich is just total bs. It means that the book is flawed considering it states harry is the only person to survive the killing curse yet if all it took was a sacrifice loads more have definitely survived. But whoopdy doo i guess.
@@fdfsffdsfdfsfd Nah, this is jsut winning from people who are desperate to find anything they can to hate on 1. The only way to survive it is for a genuine free will sacrifice that requires you to give up your life which is not something many people would ever be willing to do 2. Lilly gave up her life to protect harry, and that’s why Voldemort’s killing curse failed Harry sacrificed himself for his friends, so they were granted the protection as well, harry was able to come back only because the part of voldemort that was inside him died instead of him.... the sacrifice however was still genuine 4. So no, it’s not a common occurrence, only people who know about it know about it, so it’s not common knowledge and very few people would be willing or able to make the sacrifice to achieve it either way.
With the stress of work, home life, and nursing school it just now hitting me why I appreciate your videos so much. This truly feels like a safe space for me 🥺
When you think that a whole generation will relate to Harry, Hermione and Ron and be exposed to such courage, such self sacrifice, such love for friends and family and community. Truly awesome. What role models!
The thing about the wands is that using one that isn't yours impedes your ability to do magic at your full potential. In the books it's revealed that's why Neville sucked at magic for the first few years. He was given his Father's wand instead of going to get his own. Once he finally got his own wand (I can't remember which book that happened), his ability to do magic improved significantly. Not to say that happens with everyone, you can do pretty okay with someone else's wand but not your best. It also depends on the "personality" of the wand being used. Ollivander described Bellatrix's wand as unyielding, which meant that it wasn't safe to use. There would be no predicting how magic would behave coming out of that wand if they used it, the chance for something negative like backfiring was much too high.
Oh, man.... seeing Fred laying on the floor in the Great Hall dead is heartbreaking, but seeing Ron, who's usually so cheerful, break down in tears makes it worse every time I watch. Two points I've made in the past regarding Harry Potter: 1. The prophecy Professor Dumbledore mentioned in Professor Snape's memory mentioned a baby born at the end of July was partially true. There were actually two: Harry Potter and Neville Longbottom. They were born in the same month and year, but Neville is only 1 day older than Harry. 2. After the Battle For Hogwarts, George Weasley was never able to cast the Patronus Charm again, since it relies on your happiest memory to work, and literally ALL of his happy memories involved his deceased twin brother Fred. Another note: l actually attended the midnight premiere of Deathly Hallows Part 2 at a theater here in my hometown. The scene where Molly steps up to Bellatrix got such a huge cheer from the audience in the auditorium we were all in, watching a 3D version of the movie with 3D glasses that looked like Harry's glasses.
It mentions 1 child and it could have been Harry or Neville but as Harry was half blood like Voldemort, Voldemort chose him.. marking him as his equal and already beginning to fulfil the prophecy. (The one with the power to vanquish the dark lord approaches. Born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies…).
Theres more to your part 1 that you should have added. Its more than just a baby born at that time. Its a baby born at the end of July who's parents had twice defied the dark lord. Neville's parents also qualified in that regard. Neville literally could have been the chosen one, but the reason he picked Harry is Harry, like himself, had a parent that was muggle-born. He saw more of himself in Harry. Despite what he says, he despises pure-bloods and feels more comfortable around half bloods... which also explains Snape to him.
Ive been so excited to see you watch this one. The epic moments, the Snape realization... its so good. Sad that its over, but happy it finally happened.
Seeing Hagrid in chains/ropes was probably the saddest moment other than Snapes Revelation for me. Hagrid has been a constant for Harry from the beginning. Hagrid is just so loving and wholesome and Harry’s first friend in the Wizarding World.
This movie destroyed me, I was 11 first movie and 19 last. Sat at the cinema premiere and cried and cried.. Snape his whole story was just too much for me. He is my absolute favorite character. So beautifully written by JK. No one will ever come close to how these actors did their roles but especially Alan Rickman who played Snape and Ralph Finnes as Voldemort. Fantastic job. These films are a masterpiece.
I'm so glad that you settled down enough by this film to actually watch and appreciate the entire film. That was awesome. My two favorite/emotional points of the film are in Dumbledore's office when Haryy sits down after learning everything. The 2nd is when he whispers to the snitch. In the book the sentence is a little different but hits harder. Either way, this is where Harry accepts his fate. Ty for reacting to this series. #tattoo - The Deathly Hallows, of course.
Thank you for all the Harry Potter reactions. You've done a great job! It's been quite a journey, and I'm also sad you're done. What you could do to share your reading of the books is make a video after each chapter and talk about what you learned in the book that wasn't in the movie. I think that would be an interesting topic to discuss.
Watching you react to all these movies and go through all the phases and learn everything for the first time was honestly so healing.
The story goes, that Rowling told Alan Rickman what "Always" meant.

Thank you for this explanation!

That's so great! A true Harry Potter fan.
My Dad put me onto them. He was in his late 70's by then. I am still reading them now at 59.
Yes, being so skillful at lying that it's imperceptible even to a psychopathic dark lord is definitely a sign of true courage 👌

James Sirius, Albus Severus and Lily Luna.

So is Voldemort, he inherited the resurrection stone.

But why he stole their wands? What was the purpose?
@@CAMCOH89 Just in case McGonnagal neglected to take them or secure the Death Eaters before they woke up. Since Snape swiped their wands, they're essentially powerless even against a room of wizard children.
The 2 Death Eaters he disarmed were the Carrows, the brother and sister who had the students using the Crucio curse on first year students.

Out of all the wizards and witches there ,when I realised Molly was the one taking down Voldemort’s best follower, I couldn’t control my tears and happiness. Molly deserved that last heroic moment. But you have to remember Bellatrix lost her wand, so mamma Weasley need not have known or used savage curses.

Some answers for you:

I read the books and loved the movies. I really wish they followed the books closer but I still appreciate the films for what they are. Im of both sides to be honest.

Why is ginny's insecurity a great moment?

Some cool things you might find awesome:
1) During the scene where Snape duels Mcgonagall in the great hall, Snape purposely bounces her spells back towards the death eaters behind him in an effort to keep the students safe but still keep his disguise as a Voldemort loyalist.
But also it never really mattered who was the master of the Elder Wand, Voldemort would not have been able to kill Harry anyway.
@@95BWG from my understanding it did matter after Voldemort destroys the horcrux within Harry in the Forbidden Forest
@@balazsborcsok9255 cool point! Definitely something I didn’t remember

Sad you didn’t notice Lavender’s death. She may have been annoying but really she was a sweet girl who just wanted to be loved and wanted.
And her death was so gruesome.. Bitten to death by Greyback, ow.
Tbf the shot was quite lopsided and its difficult to tell it was her
And it's a nice touch it's Hermione getting Greyback off her.
Snape being the silent hero gets me every time 💔
Some people seem to forget that Snape Says 'Always' and then when Harry talks to his parents with the Ressurection stone, James says 'until the end', whereas lily matches Snape and says 'Always'... That little detail always brings a tear to my eye!
About the wand scene at Gringotts: The Goblins knew that Bellatrix lost her wand to them. So if they showed them the wand, they would have instantly known that they were imposters

with the patronuses, I've always seen the fact that James has a stag and Lily has a doe as a sign that they were truly made for each other.

My FAVORITE thing about the polyjuice Beletrix scene:
That is HBC doing her best impression of what she thinks Emma Watson's impression of the way she plays her own character THEN they ADR Hermione's lines over HBC's lines.

Couple fun facts about Neville…he could have been the chosen one instead of Harry, and he is the ONLY OTHER PERSON to draw the sword out of the hat
The reveal for Snape and Harry naming his son after him is probably my favorites of the whole story ♥
interesting.
@@Cl0wn1234 It was because of Harry's values. For Harry courage is a Big deal, and as he pointed out; Severus Snape was the bravest man he ever met.

Wellp, there's a lot I can say to disprove most of what you said but, you'll likely counter argument so I will just say this.

@@flugsven still... makes no sense. As a book reader i prefered she would not have written the last chapter, because it felt wrong and forced.
Clearing up a common misconception about the Bellatrix Wand scene:
Everyone at this point knows about the struggle that took place at Malfoy Mannor.
Great suggestion!

The Harry Potter audiobooks are amazing. The narrator won several awards for his performance. He imitates every character perfectly.
@@Starfish0. What channel is that?
I heard the hug by Voldemort was unscripted which is why it looked weird. They also cut out the scene who Draco tosses Harry his wand.
I’ve been wondering about the wand for years lol now I feel stupid
@@Joeysaladsloveryea. It’s not made clear enough but it was the movie solution to a longer scene with more characters and dialogue in the book (Hermione actually does show it which is why the Gringotts guards realize she’s 100% an impostor, and it’s why Harry has no choice but to use the Imperius curse on the goblin and the nosy bystander who’s also a death eater).
And i believe that Goblins can tell if the wand has another master
@@Joeysaladslover believe me, read the books or hear them as audiobooks
Literally would LOVE if you did re-reactions to all of the movies now that you’ve watched them and know why things happened as they did. Think it would be so much fun!!!!!! PLEASE consider this, it would make me genuinely so happy😭😭😭
reactions that we will be able to take part of as well of course :)
I think before he does re-reactions to the movies he should read the books first then watch them again.
@@jordansavage8606ahhh I did that and it was such a cool experience
Neville married Hannah Abbott who bought The Three Broomstick tavern, and he became the next professor of Herbology.
Molly had already lost her 2 brothers in the last wizarding war to the death eaters though too. She lost a lot more than just her one son.
My biggest complaint about the story of Harry Potter is that Neville and Luna marry other people instead of each other
As far as I'm concerned, in the movies Neville defeated Voldemort.
Actually the prophecy was this : "The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches... born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies... and the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal, but he will have power the Dark Lord knows not... and either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives... the one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born as the seventh month dies...."
This prophecy was refering to some baby who is born at the end of July, both Harry and Neville were born in that period of time, so the prophecy can be interpreted that both Harry and Neville are "the one with the power to vanquish the dark lord"
Neville is my favorite character
Your reaction to Snape’s memories has been the thing I’ve been looking most forward to. I’m glad it was worth the wait. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, Snape loved Lily with all his heart so he protected her son with all his strength.
I get the feeling of emptyness when you get to the ending of Harry Potter. I read the books after watching the films and the feeling was even worse, because the journey was much much crazier and full of details.
However you feel about JK Rowling, she created an amazing series
I read the booms first so I wasa lil disappointed with the movies, they did miss out details
Snape's tears flashback is my favorite scene of the entire franchise. doesnt matter how many times i see it, its still so emotional
I've lost count on how many times I've replayed alex figuring out that nagini is a horcrux
I’d recommend watching some of the deleted scenes that didn’t make the final cut (especially the ones with the Dursleys and the one with Draco) it adds more depth to their characters that you don’t see in the end product.
This
I liked Dudley in that scene. He really grew on me with just that interaction.
But the Draco scene was just fantasy - never happened in the book - so the theatrical scene was probably better even if not as satisfying for character development.
@@kisili7319very true, but I always wondered where Harry got that wand from until I saw that. It just gave closure on that small tiny mistake with the finished film
Yess
To many, Alan Rickman is the most perfect casting and most brilliant acting as Snape in these movies. He drops subtle hints all along his true feelings and intentions to Harry and others, while trying to hide them as well
If you didn't notice, at 15:19 Snape directed the spells to the death eaters in order to protect everyone and then took their wands before flying off. Snape was the true hero in the end, all he wanted to do was protect people
Only in movies, not happened in the books.
@@aaa-dk6jrnah not true. In the books it's pretty clear that Snape becoming head of hogwarts was always the plan to protect Hogwarts. Hes always protecting the school.
@@ChristopherJames1993 I didn't say he wasn't protecting Hogwarts. I said that him directing spells to the death eaters didn't happened in the books.

The way you edit severus memories scene was so good, definitely one of the best ive seen so far in a reaction channel
The snape scene in this movie is prolly my favorite scene in the entire movie. It is shot so well, the music is perfect, I basically cry every time I watch it 😭
Glad you got your channel back! I was in the middle of this series, now I can finish it!!
Snape's "Always" hits so hard every time I see it now. He is one the TRUE heroes of the series.
Yes! Please read the books! Guarantee You will enjoy them and so many of your questions will be answered. I’d love to see your reactions to the books as well! I’ll even read them over again right along with you! 👀😂
Maybe you can upload every few chapters or so and discuss them? Like a book club type thing?
Anyway, Really enjoyed your reactions to the movies! I look forward to the tattoo!! ✨
The books create so much more of this world, to the point when I go back to read them, it feels more like my own memories than a familiar story.
Me when I think my head canon is real
@@angelo423 wdym? everything they said is true
Actually the reason Dumbledore’s hand is messed up is because he wore Voldemorts ring which was a horrocrux
and the ring possessed a powerful poison that kills the wearer slowly, That’s why dumbledore settled on Snape killing him because he was a dead man anyway
the problem with the resurrection stone, is that it doesn’t bring the actual people back, it just allows you to see the memories and parts of them that live in you
and when you focus on the ghosts of the past for so long it causes depression and melancholy to the point of suicide.
@@fdfsffdsfdfsfd Nah, this is jsut winning from people who are desperate to find anything they can to hate on
1. The only way to survive it is for a genuine free will sacrifice
that requires you to give up your life
which is not something many people would ever be willing to do
2. Lilly gave up her life to protect harry, and that’s why Voldemort’s killing curse failed
Harry sacrificed himself for his friends, so they were granted the protection as well,
harry was able to come back only because the part of voldemort that was inside him died instead of him....
the sacrifice however was still genuine
4. So no, it’s not a common occurrence, only people who know about it know about it, so it’s not common knowledge
and very few people would be willing or able to make the sacrifice to achieve it either way.
With the stress of work, home life, and nursing school it just now hitting me why I appreciate your videos so much. This truly feels like a safe space for me 🥺
Yo this is amazing! I’m stoked to hear that ❤
Go go go RN! I’m currently reviewing for my licensure exam this coming November. Spending my study breaks binging these reactions 😂
Two points I've made in the past regarding Harry Potter:
24:46 that victory music creeping in knocked me out 😂😂
Ive been so excited to see you watch this one.
It was Lupin/Tonks for me personally, but that was pretty bad.
So much more upsetting seeing Hagrid throughout these films since Robbie Coltrane passed away☹️
I got to relive so many of these beautiful and painful and fantastic moments I had growing up again through your reactions. This was so much fun and I am beyond committed to your channel now.
