Si’s expression when Dave says “Eat that and you could live forever” broke my heart. Love these 2 guys. Brought us all so much happiness over the years. RIP Dave, you will be missed.
You could tell by Si Kings expression and voice that he knew this was most likely the last time he would ever ride with, and cook with his best mate! Its almost like Dave was finalizing and finishing off
The Hairy Bikers was one of the few cookery shows I watched. Not just for the food, but the road trips on their bikes, the scenery of all the places they went to, the people they met and spent time with, the humour, and just seeing two mates have a great time together. RIP Dave. All the best Si.
We will never forget you Dave Myers you were / are a force of nature loved your shows and seen everyone and on repeat! Hope si carries on when he feels he can move forward. Love you guys ❤️
So sad. In this world of division ad Hate there are gentle souls like Dave who sadly now have gone. To a wonderful Man and a proper Biker, R.I.P. Dave. A big hug for Si too, a true friend lost.
So pleased Dave was able to do something he loved; battling through his chemo and riding his bike …. my husband longed to do something along those lines but never regained his strength in time. Cancer got him all too soon. Well done Hairy Bikers team for making it happen 💔
Why is it always the good one's? Just a really lovely man who together with Si made the most entertaining and knowledgeable cookery programmes ever. Period. God Bless.
The kiss and embrace at the end brought a lump to my throat. Lost my best friend of more than 30 years this time 2 years ago. He was the best man at my wedding and only true friend that I loved dearly like a brother there’s nothing like it. I will always remember holding his hand and kissing his forehead a few hours before he died and telling him that I loved him. There’s nothing wrong with 2 men showing affection like this to one another
I'm a biker too (almost 60 years old), and the group of Pals I ride with will joke (in person or via Whatsapp) about everything and anything. Not a single word has been spoken about Dave and Si, since Dave's passing. Not because we dont care, rather, because it feels very raw, very real and close to home. These Hairy Boys really were the epitome of male friendship. I hope Daves Family and Si are ok and able to get on with thier lives. RIP Dave
Rip Dave. I was very sad to hear of your passing xx Dave travelled by train often where my husband works. He always said hello to the staff and would happily have a chat. A very nice man that will be missed. Another nice one has bit the dust while the dregs of society still remain.
I am so glad that they still broadcasted this final series. A very fitting tribute from the man himself, he would have wanted to be seen with this very positive attitude to his adversity and a life well lived. Well done Dave, Slange 🥃.
discovered the hairy bikers in 2012 when i was 18 and in my first year of uni, they made me laugh and loved the recipes they came up with, thanks for everything dave you are going to be missed
Just brings a lump to my throat. I remember first seeing them on the telly and them saying "if you wanna see more of us, write in to the BBC!" and I did! With diligence! I've loved every episode they've ever filmed. R.i.p Dave Myers. You beautiful soul! ❤
And the elves travelled west onto the undying lands. Gonna miss you sir. Youre a part of all of us. A national treasure. You've made a difference while you were here. Best wishes to all family
I dont get emotional often but was upset when i heard he had passed , these 2 guys got me cooking and hope Kingee carrys on with shows , RIP Dave and thanks for the cooking shows , nothing ever complicated
It has been one of life’s true pleasures to watch these two guys over the years. So smart, so funny, so interesting, so passionate and above all, so very kind. My friends know that my ‘dream dinner table’ would include these two. He seemed to have dealt with his illness with such dignity. My you rest in peace, you very fine chap x
That has got to be one of the most emotional video I think I’ve ever watched not wanting to sound dramatic but that must have been so hard for them both but yet so enjoyable at the same time knowing that it is probably the last time they will be together filming what a great couple of guys and what a good friendship they both had if the world was full of people like these 2 it would be so much better. Thank you for all you have done both - Thank you
aye. I wonder how many of us cooked a dish to impress our other half and nailed it, thanks to these lads? No more to be said but thank you for everything.
I have followed these guys since they began the hairy bikers journey. I love them both and I am so sad, being a cancer sufferer myself. I wish Si and Dave’s family all the best. You can see how much they loved each other😢
Such a warm lovely and genuine man, a great loss 😢. But we can remember him by keeping on watching repeats, and laughing out loud at some of the things Dave (and Si) would say. Speaking of which, someone should do a video with them all together. Not much stays in my sieve-like memory these days, but this one from Dave does: "its crispier than a locust with exzema" 🤣😂 RIP Dave
I consider myself a bit of a man’s man but this bought tears to my eyes, have loved watching these 2 for years. I’ll miss them working together and giving so much joy. True pals and friendship, thanks for letting us be part of it, chin up Simon
Wasn't that so incredibly moving. Dave's attitude and the love and affection of those he interacted with was inspirational. Simon must be devastated as are Dave's family and friends. RIP.
Suffering from the disease myself I was at first so happy to see them back on tv and then so said to hear of his passing. I love his courage to have done this series and he was absolutely right to live in the present. Rest in peace 🙏
This was a tough watch. I saw these two on stage in York some years ago. The smells wafting up from the stage were amazing! I was with my sister, who passed away suddenly after an extremely short fight with cancer two years ago. Still not come to terms with her not being here yet.
Dave you've been a joy to watch over the years on your many culinary adventures enjoyed with your best mate Si. Rest in peace my fellow biker 🙏🏍️. Si my heart goes out to you 😢. I lost my best friend Phil (best friends since 5 yrs old) who got me into biking. Like Dave he fought a courageous battle living life to the full!
To find one friend in life that you are so close to is a true blessing. This was so sad to watch.. but what a friendship.. a truly wonderful loving friendship🙏
These two made me feel like I was with them whilst watching their stuff on the telly. Gutted that Dave’s passed away. I hope Sy is being made okay and comforted. Couldn’t imagine the loss and emptiness that he’s feeling.
My heart broke when they hugged eachother, gave eachother a kiss and said they loved eachother. I'm not ashamed to say watching it "live" I wept my eyes out. Edit: it happened again.
There’s next to no-one on TV I would even cross the street to say hello too, but these two are exceptions. What a lovely human being he was. I hope Simon is ok and of course Dave’s family. Must be heartbroken.
Will miss Dave so much 💔 Si , You need time grieve . Please, when the times right , you must continue with the series. Keep Dave’s name alive. Whilst he’s not with you in person , he’s with you in spirit . We love you just us much as Dave . Stay strong . God Bless.😘
Pure as a diamond... Diamond Dave ... with the deepest sympathy for all and Si x the pair of you we're simply the Best!!! Such a loss to all of us xxx Dream on Si x
I love them both. Losing Dave is like losing a family member, mostly because he was, he was always on the tele, my daughter laughed at me because I spoke about him like I knew him. She might have laughed, but that's how I felt, like he was family. I miss him so much 😥
A beautiful, brave human being going out on a high with his family and friends around him; and millions of friends watching him on his journey on tv. Sad loss for us all.
God bless you Dave a true gentleman. The world is turning itself upside down at the moment and unfortunately we have one less beacon of light in it. Si you have to carry on because that’s what Dave would want.
Genuinely made me really emotional,, what legendary characters though, such lovely people showing their simple joys in life, food, true friendship and adventures local or all over the world,, I think it will always be heartbreaking to lose someone who had so much love and light to bring to others
Do you know what’s beautiful though..? One day, when Si is ready… he can look back on all these beautiful shows he made with Dave, & laugh and cry along with them. He made the most beautiful memories with Dave, memories that will last a lifetime. It’s hard to ever see that when we lose someone so dear to us. I lost my beautiful mum very suddenly and unexpectedly on her birthday in January 2022, and I long to hear her voice again.. I’d do anything for memories like this. Even I became emotional at the end when they hugged and kissed. No words were needed between them both.. I believe they knew it would be their last trip. Sending so much love to Si & all of Dave’s family at this tragically difficult time. Xx
Utterly heartbreaking viewing. I'm so glad Dave got to ride and have a mini adventure with his mate again though. Thoroughly enjoyed their shows over the years
These two amazing men started my love of watching food programs away from the normal, leading me to plenty of gems, old and new, Two Fat Ladies, Barry Lewis and Sorted Food, made cooking fun.
Dave you will be missed by so many. My heart goes out to his family and not to forget his bestie Si. Thank you both for all the years of entertainment you have given to us all. R.i.p Dave. 😢
Normalise gentle men loving each other and being in touch with their emotions. Thanks Dave.
Men show their emotions in front of men, because we understand each other 💪
@@srl4050we don't often enough, but things are changing
This is so sad. I think they both new this was the last time. It must of been so difficult for Si knowing his best mate was dying. RIP Dave.
That is what I thought, as well. RIP Dave.🙏😓🙏
So sad but so beautiful at the same time ❤
RIP Dave ❤
What a wonderful man. Cruel
Wow your post brought tears to my eyes.
Si’s expression when Dave says “Eat that and you could live forever” broke my heart. Love these 2 guys. Brought us all so much happiness over the years. RIP Dave, you will be missed.
I didn’t notice it until I read your comment but you’re right. Very moving and sad
It is said that big men don't cry......I am a very big man, and the ending of this final series brought me to tears. Dave Myers, what a lovely man.

It’s always the good ones that die while the evil ones continue to walk the earth.
To keep working like that while feeling so poorly was a fantastic achievement 💕 RIP Dave
So pleased Dave was able to do something he loved; battling through his chemo and riding his bike …. my husband longed to do something along those lines but never regained his strength in time. Cancer got him all too soon. Well done Hairy Bikers team for making it happen 💔
RIP Dave - you were one of the good guys.
My heart aches for Kingy. When you manage to find a best friend for life, there's truly nothing quite like it.
Gone too soon. It's testament to Dave how much love and sadness has been expressed at his passing.
Why is it always the good one's? Just a really lovely man who together with Si made the most entertaining and knowledgeable cookery programmes ever. Period. God Bless.

Two amazing humans who’ve been with me since I was a young kid inspiring me to cook and love food. A proper look a positive masculinity ❤ RIP Dave
When he said, “Eat that you would live for ever, Kingy”. Thats so sad.
Oh what a lovely man and I shed a tear at this as I think he was saying goodbye bless him

You are so right - absolutely heartbreaking.
RIP Mr Myers, you were on of the Good ones... This brought a tear to my eyes...
2 of the nicest people on TV. Such a shame Dave didn't make it. May he ride and cook in peace 🙏 🏍 🍳
One last ride into the sunset which both of them knew was going to be the last time as a duo, couldn’t imagine it could have been any better
Class act both of them ...... Rest easy Dave , thanks for the joy .
Such a lovely man, Rest in Peace Sir!
