Cancer is a bastard, we should of had Dave for a long time yet, what a lovely guy he will be sorley missed.
When you get to a certain age you know so many people who have died from it. It is truly a repulsive disease.

@@johnpatterson5227 its sad how it had to end this way. He did more or less everything in his life he literally travelled all round the world with his bestie doing what he loved which was cooking food and riding his bike. I feel sorry for Si i really do, i hope he makes a tv appearance again
The hairy bikers had such good chemistry that's why they were so popular. You good tell they were genuine mates who bounced off eachother so effortlessly.

I taught Dave to fly at Perth airport and have some fond memories of his antics in his Quasar 2 ....a real gent, very funny and full of surprises during his training.Was great to share this part of his life.

I didn't know I was going to miss Dave and it came as something of a surprise to me that I found his illness and his untimely death to be such a huge shock. Dave and Si were just always there on the telly, having another adventure, messing about, having a laugh...
