    Stumbled on this while looking for videos on the Savage Mark II FV-SR. Pretty impressive shooting. That would be something I'd love to do, long-range shooting, but I live in an area that doesn't really have many long-range outdoor ranges. Still that rifle is impressive, the more I watch videos on it the more I want to go get one. Thanks for posting this!

    Just bought one recently and even though it's bone stock after sighting in my old 4x9 Bushnell I was able to nail a dime at 50 yards first try. Awesome little rifle! Can't wait to make some longer shots with it.

    Congratulations on shooting 22 lr out to 500 yds. Several years ago I took up the challenge from 100 yds up to 600 yds and finally made it. CZ 452 and Marlin 880 SQ rimfire rifles. Like you I've tried to encourage rimfire rifle shooters to get off the 50 yds line but for some reason they stay there...Beats me...Anyhow , congratulations and keep plinking out to long range

    I have the same gun in the same stock. Just shot it last weekend and it was failing to extract CCI standard multiple times you ever had that issue? Nice shooting by the way.

    how much does the suppressor reduce the noise? Not that I can use one here in Kali4nia. I would also assume that the 21" barrel version is a bit quieter than the 16.5" version? Nice video.

    • @brockedandloaded6034
      @brockedandloaded6034  3 года назад +3

      Thanks. I would assume the longer barrel the quieter it will be, to a degree. The suppressor reduces the sound quite a bit, and I'll shoot it without hearing protection without worry. With subsonic 22lr, under 1100 fps, it's movie quiet. It literally sounds like you're dry firing. My son's red Ryder bb gun is probably the same sound. Feel sorry for you guys out in Cali man, it's gotta be rough. You should get outta there if you can.

    Awesome video, thanks for sharing. I am considering a Mark II as well, and trying my hand at NRL22. Do you think the Mark 2 FV (non SR) version with the 21 inch heavy barrel would be more accurate? Thanks.

    • @brockedandloaded6034
      @brockedandloaded6034  3 года назад +1

      I would assume, but there's no way to know unless you find some people that have them and ask. Even then, that will only two you so much because all rifles are different

      @kylerokitjanski7598 3 года назад +2

      I have never shot the fvsr version, but I do have the stainless fluted heavy barrel on my mk2 and it’s rediculously accurate. I usually shoot all the clay pieces that are left behind at our local pit from 100-125yds, nothing is left untouched. Last time I went out, I started removing dandelion tops around 100yds. With no wind at about 50yds, you can cover 5 shots with a dime. Short or long, these little guns are just accurate, without the CZ price tag.

    Awesome shooting dude. Question... did you have to buy the separate bottom metal for the Boyds stock? Or did the factory parts drop right in?
    Thanks.

    • @brockedandloaded6034
      @brockedandloaded6034  2 года назад

      It was a different bottom metal, but I can't remember if all of their stocks come with it or not. I remember being glad I got it, maybe because it was beefier or my old bottom metal wouldn't have worked or something. If it doesn't say, it comes with it. If there's models that don't have it, get the one that does.

    Trying to decide between this and the mark 2 tr, would the longer barrel of the TR make much of a difference in accuracy and range? What draws me to this is the threaded barrel, which I guess I could always have the TR threaded after the fact, also the big bolt handles are cool on both

    • @brockedandloaded6034
      @brockedandloaded6034  2 года назад +1

      The way I look at it, and I really appreciate accurate rifles, is that if the other one was more accurate would I know it? Probably not. I'm shooting pretty cheap ammo and getting consistent hits at 500 here. I'd personally go with the threaded barrel myself. Especially if you're going to ever suppress it. Just my 02. Let me know what you go with

  • @joerico9461
    @joerico9461 2 года назад +1

    Using high Velocity rounds it's kind of pointless to have a suppressor on there I kn that's all you have with you . But If you were to take it off will change your accuracy ?

    • @brockedandloaded6034
      @brockedandloaded6034  2 года назад +1

      It definitely still makes it much more pleasant to shoot. I zeroed with it on so I don't know for a fact on this rifle but every other rifle I have a suppressor on there's a POI shift. I'd suspect this is the same. It's pretty short and no reason to take it off really so I always shoot with it. Even supersonic 22 like this I don't really mind shooting without ear pro. Subs are stupid quiet

    Have you tried long range with Standard velocity ? I have one of these and it groups great with 1000-1080fps rounds, but guessing past 150-200 yds it would be dropping quick

    • @brockedandloaded6034
      @brockedandloaded6034  2 года назад +1

      I haven't. I've shot a bunch of standard velocity stuff that grouped well, it's just that I didn't have a ton of each brand so I stuck with the bucket. The golden bullet grouped as well as anything else if I remember correctly. CCI standard was nice too. Have you shot yours long range yet? What are you using?

    • @badmpg
      @badmpg 2 года назад +1

      @@brockedandloaded6034 Nice. Yes I've just shot 50-70ish yards, mainly Wolf Match and CCI standard. They are very accurate, some one hole groups at 50 in a tacticool stock. I'll try it out at 150-200-250, but figured the rounds would drop fast since they are +/- 1000 FPS out of the pipe and not high velocity. but don't know till you try!

    • @brockedandloaded6034
      @brockedandloaded6034  3 года назад +5

      I think I specifically claimed to be an average shooter, and gave most of the praise here to a fine rifle capable of way more than what people imagine. I don't need to prove it, because I didn't do it for you. I did it for me. I also do have a challenge coin to prove what I'm claiming is true, so explain that. I do wish I had video, and I will go back and do it with video at some point, but I'm into other stuff more now. Trying to elk hunt and whitetail deer fanatic right now. Search around on RUclips though, I think you'll be surprised. I'm curious, why is this so hard to believe for you? You think I would make up some elaborate story, have all the details that just so happen to fit exactly, like 97MOA, ballistic coefficients, misses, description of the layout of the range, other video of me hitting 1000 over and over, and for what? Strangers on the internet? You overvalued your opinions worth here bud. Thanks for watching though. 🍻

      Haha I just realized this was my 22 video. I figured it was on my mile shot video. Lol. If you can't believe I was shooting 500 yards with a 22 you're gonna have a heart attack when you see what I "claim" to shoot in the mile video. Lol I'm not buying dual cameras and walking 500 yards to set it up for you with a 22 dude. I was literally having fun one day because I love to see how far I can shoot and just turned my phone on. This is nothing. The spotter for the mile took a 22 out to 1000 yards and shoots a mile with a 223/5.56.
