If I recall rightly, Moore said that this was his favourite film as it was one of the few in which he actually got to do some acting rather than just raising his eyebrows!
This film is nearly as old as me but I love it. My favourite Roger Moore film by some margin. The music is great and love the Lambourghini Islero that appears in the film. There was some lovely sports cars around this time from Ferrari, Lambourghini, Jaguar, Lotus & Porsche.
It's exactly as old as me - I was born in the fictional timeline of the film while he was recovering from the smash. If I was a car I would be an -H reg car, being born in August 1969. He wrecks a -G reg Rover - you can see it is summer time - then it fades to Autumn leaves and the kids are in school uniform and he has exactly the same car only an -H . I think I am the only man in the whole world who'd pick the Rover over the Lambo I felt the same as a kid and it's the same today. I used to own a P5B and I now drive the Rover P6 instead - I hate modern cars and I am a life long Roger Moore fan.
Proof if ever it was needed that Sir Roger Moore could indeed act and with plenty of range and depth. Love The Saint, The Persuaders and Bond but this was certainly his finest ever role
Im Italian, but I think this was Roger's best proof, I must also remember that the spy who loved me is considered one of the best James Bond films ever, thanks to him,and the opening sequences of for your eyes only, on the helicopter: great expressive mimicry ! If you are not a good actor, you can't do this!
This movie was made nearly 50 years ago and was available on Y.T. but now we have to pay to watch. An age of commercialism and unbridled greed gone mad!
Best ever ... the 'haunting' sung version with the Alan Moorhouse Orchestra is also amazing. I salute Michael J Lewis for his brilliance
Music from these early 70s films is great.
MY FAVE ROGER MOORE FILM.
The best of Rogers films ever, but so underrated.
Super film and music! Always remembered from my youth😊
I think it’s everybody’s favourite roger moore film

Brilliant music. Sir Roger Moore claimed that of all his films, this was his favourite.
Good to know that it was his favourite, thank you!
It's my favourite of his!
Immortal music!
Fantastic film. Roger Moore should have won an award for this film.

Always has been my favourite Sir Roger Moore film since a 9 year old boy , music great. R.I.P.
This film and song seems to be staying with me, watched this on my dad's VHS as a child. 38 now and still hum the tune at work.
But I'm Pelham!
Really !!!!!
Three years before he became 007. Just proves he was still making good movies before and during his Bond years. Great film and music R. I. P Sir Roger

@@theaethelred3427 Interesting - I always assumed the car was a Jensen Interceptor - shows how much I know about cars!
This movie proves that Roger Moore was a very good actor. God's speed you legend.

With no help from anton rogers
Long time ago - superb music... can hear it every time
Great soundtrack to a great film.
Brilliant acting and great movie , still sadly missed Rog.
One of my favourite films I remember from my childhood...
As a child I would have preferred the Rover to the Lamborghini and I still feel the same way to this day.
It really was a lovely car, I agree. Then again, the Islero was Ferrucchio's favourite model.
I'll pass on the rover.
Was this the lovely record he played during the show when he met his mistress??
It was delicious coffee 👍☕
Must show to the ones who said he is not a good actor

You have trouble getting a copy now...I ordered it from Amazon months ago and are still waiting for it to arrive...
And if they remade the film today the theme would be a sparse forlorn cello dirge. God bless Sir Roger.
The lovely Olga Georges-Picot.
RIP
Love this film & the tune ♥️
I think Sir Roger was an even better actor when he was young. There seems plenty of better Sir RM performances than his James Bond works.
At last found the right version instead of all the crappy impersonations.
Reminds me of the 70s . Ooooh ..... I wish !
Better days!
Great film ,great theme tune , the shrink in the film ,Freddie Jones is now on Emmerdale !!
That man with motor car 😁
