5 years ago, when I graduated from Uni, I got a $14000 job in an international bank. It is a very low salary at the beginning. If everything goes well, they could be a doctor at the age of 29 or 30. And if they want a decent salary, maybe they have to be an attending surgeon at least, which also requires about 10 years of work experience. So the reality of being a doctor in China is cruel, especially in Beijing and Shanghai, cuz everyone graduated from a top uni in China or the world.
