It was stated that yuta can choose who's hit by his domain, something Gojo couldn't do, Gojo was protecting Yuji when Yuji was in Unlimited void through physical contact, which is what sukuna used against gojo in their fight.

Gojo can’t bring people into his domain without them being effected. Remember the 0.2second domain in shibuya? The whole point was to limit the damage on the bystanders. The reason Yuji wasn’t effected when he was in his domain is because he was holding on to Gojo.

I think the point is just that domains have mechanics to avoid hitting certain people. Gojo's domain doesn't affect anyone he is touching and Yuta was able to perfect his domain to the point he could willingly choose who gets hit by it. And in neither of those cases a binding vow was mentioned, so it can only be assumed to be an in-build function of the very concept of domain expansion

The output is lessened because the body Angel is inhabiting is severely damaged. They even went over it in the flashback when Yuta was asking her for help when they stated she’s not fit for combat.

If all of this is true, it'll be one of the most in-depth and well thought out endings to any character in anime history. Gege is absolutely capable of that, but I'm also in the school of thought that this is just where Yuji offscreened Sukuna and Sukuna and him are having a nice chat before Yuji rips Megumi's useless ass out of Sukuna

My guess for why Jacobs ladder has a lower output is due to the fact that Hanna needs to channel cursed energy through her arms into the trumpet, so therefore if she only has 1 arm to hold it she can't channel as much cursed energy into it therefore lessening it's strength

Losing a hand in JJK has been said to lower CT output multiple times. Panda vs Mechamaru; Jogo vs Naobito Zenin, and now Hana vs Sukana. It may not make the most sense but it at least consistent

In regards to Sukuna's domain's connection to the meaning of "King of Hell", in Buddhist stories, one of the punishments in the Eight Great Hells involves literally be slashed by sharp knives or even being punished by burning hot iron bars, etc etc. Sukuna's uses of slashes and fire connects to the punishments of Naraka. And his features and multiple limbs are also reminiscent of an Asura.
JJK has some inconsistencies, but Hana’s JL being weaker is NOT one of them:
Being injured/losing an arm DOES take a toll on one’s cursed energy output. Just look at Naobito for proof; the panels directly state that he was much faster when he had an arm, and losing his arm lowered the potency of his ct which is WHY Jogo was able to catch him with the wallcanoes and fry him.

So I know this point has been mentioned in previous videos but another big tie in with the Jizo explanation is the fact that Yuji obtained blood manipulation from his unborn siblings, the aborted cursed wombs, who were also still just children because despite how long they actually existed they never truly lived or grew up, only existing as the cursed paintings until they were taken out of the vault. They were forced to travel and grow by being forcefully implanted into living adults. Does this matter? No. Does it make sense? Maybe. I am just saying this because I thought about it.

One of the under-discussed aspects of domain expansions is that the sure-hit is not always the same as the user’s technique. Gojo’s sure-hit is not the Limitless, Yuta’s sure-hit is related to copy but it’s not copy. Old school domains like Hakari and Higaruma don’t even have separate techniques really

Interesting. I also came up with a theory like this and i named Yujis domain Soul Reflection of Enlightenment. Yujis domain is something that is supposed to help someone reach a truth about their life "Enlighten" them to bring about a change for the betterment of their soul. We may have seen hints at this in the form of people experiencing memories of their life that didnt happen but was something the individual yearned for or a deep truth they were unable to attain or perceive themselves. Todo essentially wanted a friend,someone to connect with which is why he always asked what type of woman someone liked and he saw him and Yuji being friends. Choso just wanted a family he could live peacefully with which is why he saw his brothers eating with him and he admitted later on he made the wrong choice joining Geto and he got his brothers killed. Also Mahito said him and Yuji were the same meaning both of them had the power to manipulate souls. So maybe Yuji shows people a different path they could take or could have taken for the better and bring some peace to their souls. Sukuna might be shown parts of his life in this next chapter and realize some truths of what he may have always wanted but i think it'll end badly for him and he'll say he regrets nothing leading him to his death

pretty sure the hana ladder stuff, is just the fact that she is living symbiotically with her host when hana lost an arm it chomped down on the soul also. So they lost a major part of their soul and power output. but again that is just how i make sense of it. as to why this is not the same with megami + sukuna or yuji + sukuna is simply because they are not in sync body and soul. its more of a 1 shell hosting 2 souls. one example is when sukuna made megumi take the hit in the fight against gojo.

5:00 nick someone did the research on that topic, remember when naobito lost an arm, in that chapter is said that "he is the fastest jujutsu sorcerer(after gojo satotu) but that was when he had his right arm" and unless I am running incorrectly you dont have to use your arms to run faster, what the autor means is that losing parts of your body will lower the output of your CT, so sukuna being capable to endure hanas ct is consistent with what the author said earlier and imo is no surprise you lose output when your body is incomplete since it was stated that the body and soul are the same losing an arm is losing part of your soul.
Maybe that is why todo reattaching something and believing it was his arm made sense but even then making his ct way stronger makes no sense, that is the real inconsistency.
The tradeoff with Todo's curse technique is that his vibraslap hand was unhealable and much more fragile. If you break the tool he just can't use his cursed technique anymore. Essentially its like if you took Nanami and then made a binding vow that he HAD to use his blunt knife or whatever to use his CT or he just cant use it at all. Then ofc itd be much stronger

Which presents a problem, it's either losing an arm drops your cursed energy output or it doesn't. It can't be both

That’s not to say they didn’t start moving slower, sukuna’s injuries are the only reason his output is nerfed. So that checks out. Hakar has the best RCT in the anime, one that is automatic with his domain. So cutting off his hand was an easy trade off given his fight would always be centered around his domain.
personally, i think maybe he did the hand signal to correlate with the Domain Expansion. Sukunas domain expansion, Malevolent shrine, has a hand signal that looks like the roof to his malevolent shrine and near the bottom of the signal it kinda looks like a mouth, like his shrine. Gojos hand signal bends his finger, possibly signifying bending reality.
Though yuji is different. his hand signal looks like a fox, a symbol of good luck and fertility, bringing new life. THINK. The hand signals COUNT.
thats why I think yujis domain is possibly something holy, maybe even a fox shrine.

I interpreted the Jacob’s ladder part of the chapter as saying Hana’s output from the attack was lessened mainly because of the loss of her arm. This is backed up with Kenjaku’s explanation that the body and soul are strongly linked. So missing part of the body reduces the effectiveness of the soul’s power
The place you lost me at was the very end when you said he can't board the train because there's still too many souls suffering in the world. My question is why are we assuming it still applies? Wouldn't it make more sense that when this philosophy is incorporated into a domain that the domain itself is the world in which suffering must be purged. Like lowering the scale to just the confines of the domain.

4:46 using Gojo's domain in this example would actually disprove your point of needing to be labeled as a combatant. People touching Gojo will be excluded whether he wants them to or not. This is proven as normal humans were affected by Infinite Void and we know Gojo has had the ability to differentiate threats while using infinity along with the fact Sukuna was touching Gojo to avoid infinite void in their fight.
Jacobs Ladder was weaker MAINLY because Angel lost an arm. You can go back to the other times she's used it and she CLEARLY was using both hands. If any trade was made, on purpose, it was likely the ability to use the Ladder with one hand but decreased power. However, I'm guessing it's just a byproduct
Lastly, I think this scene in Kitagawa is actually after the domain. Seeing as there have been ZERO instances where opening a domain has changed ones body in this way, but mainly because this train scene is very reflective of the Gojo airport scene when he died.
I imagine yuji's domain literally just malevolent shrine with a more heavenly look unlike sukuna's where it's all pain and suffering with scary teeths and monster, yuji would have flowers everywhere instead of pain and suffering, it's joy and heaven stuff, where the victim gets to enjoy their final moments before they die

Now , if you told me around the middle of the series that extreme injuries, even once that normally wouldn't affect how you use your curse technique, can severely limit your cursed technique output, I would have believed it. Like when inumaki lost his arm, if they told us that his curse technique has weakened or has lost its potency because his injury has caused a severe displacement of his cursed energy, and somehow fucked with the flow of it throughout his body.
I wouldn't be sitting here questioning why Jacob's ladder didn't work. And why her losing an arm has anything to do with the output of her cursed energy.

Saw another comment here mention that Sukuna when at the train station is already dead after Yuji’s Domain Expansion basically being Malevolent Shrine but using his variant of Dismantle to cut Sukuna down. In this scenario what could happen still following your theory is now Sukuna has a choice before him to go north and be enlightened or south and continue his ways in his next reincarnation while Yuji’s goal is to convince Sukuna to achieve enlightenment/get on the north train.
Kinda reminds me of something similar to JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure where Gold Experience Requiems ability affected Diavolo in the afterlife.

Not as researched bit I think it's a bit simpler than most. He came to a transfer station and sukuna is in the yuji form I think yujis domain literally transfered sukuna from megumi to yuji. Not as much fun but it makes sense to me

Another way to think about this is that Yuji has the last finger and already severed the majority of the connection to Megumi's soul. Rika did use it for copy but the finger could still be reused
This was actually pretty close the his actual Domain Expansion. The 2 choices Yuji offered were change as a person and go into Yuji’s body or remain the same person and be killed. So those were the “2 trains”
The mythology is interesting but I think it's going to relate more to friendships and connections he's made and he's lost
A long time ago there was that one kid who was being bullied and in the opening he was friends with them and they were doing stuff together but when he died he faded away from the opening too. I think his domain expansion being halfway in between life and death in a sort is going to give him the ability to manifest his friends to help him fight and possibly even use their abilities to a lesser extent. And I think they'll all be brought in on the train.
Maybe not necessarily fight but at the very least represented in some way

Angel playing the trumpet is a "ritual" for Jacob's ladder. If they don't have both arms, they can't play the trumpet that well thereby not performing the ritual properly leading to a weaker technique.
I feel like the domain is something that would make the enemy weak and tired it would basically be like the Mahito walkdown the enemy cant run away they can only crawl away and yuji would have like dismantle and a move called “cleave dance”

my Jacobs ladder theory is that there is some unmentioned Recoil to it. like with both arms Hannah could focus Jacobs ladder on Sukuna and stay there. now maybe it applies to a larger area because she cant hold it completely steady without both hands making it weak enough for Sukuna to move. .
I think the only reason yujis arms changed is so it’s easy to differentiate his arms with sukuna…when sukuna finally respects yuji and accepts him as a vessel
I think you’re right but the two trains will hold the soul of the vessel sukana is possessing (prior to the domain expansion) and sukana himself on the other which makes more sense in terms of his ability of dismantle and beating sukana

He has a sure hit that targets the soul, so when he attacks Sakuna, maybe he’ll destroy the fingers in Sakuna which will release Megumi, and either Sakuna dies or one last fight with a mortal Sakuna before Yuji walks Sakuna to his afterlife.
I think cause Yuji was showing Sakuna his past and the small things he appreciated, he wants Sakuna to remember his own while guiding him to death.
Hana's output was lessened because of her missing an arm, it still affected Todo,yuji, and sukuna but it didn't do that much cause she was missing an arm and later in the chapter it was a flashback to yuta asking her to do one more all or nothing move because his opponents usually forget that the original user can come into the battle and there off guarded due to that hence why he said that he hold two of the same card. And when he asked her she was still recovering after meguna decided to rip off an arm and a wing so she still didn't fully recover. She was still probably getting healed by shoko but since RCT doesn't work that well on other people than using it on yourself she didn't fully recover from it.
Not sure if anyone's already said but, in case it wasn't clear, the heavenly realm isn't where enlightened people go, escaping the cycle entirely is where one goes, the suffering within that realm is suffering from excess. 'Dukkha' or suffering is extremely broad, you can suffer from pleasure as much as you can anguish, though I do think the point still stands that the heavenly realm is the best bet. Massive nit-pick I know.

personally, think it’s similar to higurama’s(nonviolent), but has a violence allowed stage with yuji being one of the kindest ppl and understanding that he is a cog in the machine he is giving his opponent a chance to understand their wrongs, i think the train station symbolizes going from point a-b(final destination),also i think everyone is forgetting what hanami said abt mahito “humans fear death. to humans death is a mirror and mahito is that mirror” wouldn’t the same hold true for yuji but inverse?? curses don’t fear death. and yuji brings out the fear of death in curses. i.e. his battle with mahito and the famous, “I’m you” line. yuji should be that mirror for them as well. Which also explain yuji being the most effective on the king of curses
Sukuna climbing the Jacob’s latter narratively is cool.because it’s sukuna trying to reach heaven before his enlightenment and yuji throwing back down to earth.ties in with nick theory.
I agree. Most people hate to admit inconsistency or retcons in a story they love. However some people (and I do me only some people), just try to use reasoning to based on information given to make sense of how an inconsistency might work. They aren't always right and they might be misinterpreting things. But I don't think it's always out of some weird loyalty or pride. Best thing I can use as an example is unohanas bankai. It was the source of a lot of arguements and contention. People for the longest time swore it had to do with acid. There are those who see the new evidence and realize ok it's not acid based. And there are others that still hold on to that because they refuse to be wrong.

Going based off the story you told of this Buddha and that Yuji is one of the cursed womb paintings; the talk of brothers through out the series and yujis need to die a good death surrounded by friends I’d say. When the trains arrive I could see everyone sukuna/yuji have killed getting off and jumping back into the fight in some fashion
The connection between Yuji and Jizu makes sense adding the fact that Gege stated that either everyone dies or Yuji does. Itadori Yuji having a curse like Jizu to end all curse energi Yuki wanted is something very genius and poetic it is so similar to Christ at the cross ✝️.
