Disney is trying to avoid offending other cultures or have its characters doing signs that could be associated with something else. My husband I went to Animal Kingdom and he was super excited to meet Pocahontas (I was having a blast in every meet and greet and he finally was excited about a character) we got there and he went to give her a hug and that didn't happened, she was super quiet and reserved haha and then for the pic he was feeling so awkward, didn't know what to do with his hands so he did what we call "chicken wings" this awkward pose where you don't wanna touch the character but also don't know what to do with them! Super funny, but he was heart broken haha
