Lewis Hamilton has won the 104th race in his career and the first one after Jeddah in 2021, however, now that Mercedes are on the rise with the most points scored in the past couple of races, even with Russell’s DNF, it’s worth noting that this is the last season of the 7-time world champion in the team. With this decision being made before he even tested the car, let alone be aware of the upgrades that are possible in terms of turning their luck around, could Hamilton regret his move to Ferrari, seeing where the Maranello team ended their mid-season development war at?

I would add this concept. Imagine Ferrari taking notes on the changes being made. Imagine Ferrari taking a "Reflective" step backwards, be it that it may. Possibly prepping for next year and 2026 when DRS will no longer be a thing. But rather, more reliant on driver ability vs technical advantage. Sounds like a conspiracy i know, but lets look at what's coming in 2026 shall we. With the expunging of the Drag Reduction System aka (DRS)! Drivers will be able to invoke a NASCAR esk driving in the wind tunnel effect of the lead drivers slip stream! Allotting for a more natural driver driven over take. Utilizing the slip stream to launch the forward on a more clean air esk whiplash effect i.e sling shot if you will. Propelling the car past the lead driver and allowing trailing cars to take advantage of slip streams for a more natural gravity like feel of the cars true potential/feel of each track. Quite genius to be frank! Speculative to be modest really, until more details surface with the new regulation changes. This will be interesting to follow going forward in my opinion. But thats what these changes thus far say to me. Looking forward to seeing how this unfolds.
