Yes, I totally recognise the shivering, tense muscles, feeling hot and cold at the same time. I get that especially when I'm really nervous/stressed out. Only relaxing and changing clothes helps, but sometimes that's just not possible, haha. I do hope you have a great time at the wedding! Don't let any breakthrough-sweating you might experience while you're there get to you
Hey Tali! Thank you so much for watching. I'm glad you understand what I mean by the shivering thing. I think it's one of my most hated aspects of hyperhidrosis to be completely honest, it's so uncomfortable to feel that way. You're right about relaxing and clothing change to help it! I adore your video idea about furry pets. I do have a lot of experience with many animals, and I have some 'tips' and perspectives I can most definitely share. Guinea pigs are SO cute, I love their lil noses! Thanks so much for thinking this up
@@SweatyJen Ah, great that you have some tips and perspectives to share! Honestly, guinea pigs are everything to me, I couldn't live without my piggies ^^ No problem! Best to you as well
yessssss. Starting to get this feeling every day now that it's getting much cooler out. My spine/ back starts to get so tense and tired! I'm glad to hear you relate. People without hyperhidrosis really don't know this feeling we get in the slightest haha
@@SweatyJen yes I take it on an empty stomach, and it hasn't shown a difference still dripping sweat from my hands. I take it first thing in the morning with water and I don't eat for about 2 to 3 hrs after
@@andreagallegos7088 thats good. You're doing the right thing. My next advice would be to call the prescribing doctor again and tell them you are still sweating profusely. They'll be able to adjust or change the medicine to try and continue to help you experience relief. When i first started, it took me a while to find a good dose for me - but working with my dermatologist helped tremendously. Please feel free to ask more questions if you have any ♡
I wish we could share photos in the comments. I just came back from an interview and my undershirt was completely soaked pits down to my waist and my entire stomach area. Pants soaked as well and I'm sure I left a puddle in the chair. Mind you thjs is an agency I've worked with for a year who wanted me to apply for thjs job, I was not anxious. I had to hold paper towels and dab my upper lip and chin. Upon leaving the shakes from freezing were uncontrollable I must look like I have Parkinsons. I have suffered from HH since I was 11 ish yrs old I'm 39. Like you said it never gets easier. I wanted to blow off the interview so bad. I am determined to not let this break me.. but sometimes it's so hard. I don't take meds. I tried them in high school and the dry mouth and eyes and constipation was not worth the little bit of lesseningthe sweat. I stumbled upon your channel yesterday. I am grateful I did. ❤
I can relate sooooo much!!!! Whenever I see someone holding a rag or paper towel I always wonder if they have HH and I try to see if I can see any sweat lol. I’m so proud of you for getting through the job interview. I hope you are in some nice warm dry clothes now. It sucks but I noticed it’s not worth sitting around in sweaty clothes when it’s so cold … even if it means way more laundry. P.s. I hope you get the job you wish soon! I wish you luck
Hi Jen please make more videos. My hands sweat. Everything you describe I go through. The shivers and all that. Going to try Carpe and see how it works. You’re a super hero to me for being so open about it.
Thank you very much Danny! I am planning to make another video very soon, and I'm very happy that you can relate to me. You're too kind, please let me know how carpe works for you 😄
Hi Jen, I don't get the shivering too much unless I am really cold, but I have definitely been sweating lately even when it is cold. I think it shows how there is a lot more too it than just the temperature that is causing it. I was wondering about how well that sweat swipe works. I didn't order it yet because I thought it might be similar to drying your hands on a cotton material, but it sounds like it works pretty well so I might try it out. I like those reality style shows so I will add Love Is Blind to the list. It sounds kind of like that show Married at First Sight where 2 people agree to be matched up by experts to be married before they even meet each other. For video ideas, I think a fun one would be the benefits or advantages of hyperhidrosis. We know there are a lot of downsides to it but sometimes it actually makes things easier. For example opening plastic bags, picking up small things, turning pages etc. Hope you are having a good weekend!
I really like your video idea. There are some DEFINITE benefits to having hyperhidrosis and it's a great idea to shed some light on these; Rather than only shedding light on its downsides. Thank you so much for this idea, for watching the video, and taking the time to comment
The shivering happens to me often, anxiety doesn't help at all. it also happened yesterday. I went cycling with a friend and I sweated so much from my face, neck, and back. My hair was partially wet, my shirt was wet and I felt like I was boiling. After a while I took a break and I started shivering and I felt really cold, and my entire body was shaking especially my legs, my teeth were chattering I was barely able to talk properly
Hi Shada, thank you for watching! I am happy and sad that you experience the sweat shivers too. It is so hard to explain why we are complaining of heat one hour and the next our teeth our chattering. I was just having this happen the other day in the summer and people thought I was joking when I started to shiver! I wonder why this happens to us and I wish it didnt!!! :( How do you typically warm up again when you get the shivers?
Thank you for the suggestion! I have a fan right near my gaming console but I NEVER thought to point it at my hands while playing. I'll have to try this out very soon. Hope you are staying healthy :) Thank you for watching and commenting, it means so much.
Hey, thank you for posting these videos. I just found your channel today. I was on medication for two years to prevent sweating but unfortunately I built up a tolerance and it stopped working. I currently use a combination of iontophoresis and antiperspirant for my hands. I find iontophoresis reduces the sweating enough for the antiperspirant to stay on my hands long enough to work.
Hey Jake thanks so much for leaving me a comment! I'm sorry the oral medicine stopped working, but I'm really happy you've found a different route that is working for you! I think it's really awesome that you thought to combine two different techniques to achieve an effective solution, very innovative! What kind of iontophoresis machine and antiperspirant are you using, if you dont mind me asking?
Hi Gisselle! I haven't been using the carpe very much at all, but I think I am going to begin using it in my daily regimen again soon because the summer time heat makes me sweat like crazy! I wish you nothing but the best of luck with Carpe, please let me know how they work for you or if I can help in any way :D

When playing an instrument or video games I recommend to use a fan. The fan will keep ur hands dry while playing it help alot.
