I didn’t know someone else had words for the life I live. I have walked out of jobs, panic attacks in public, and always feel like a freak. It’s a prison. It has ruined my life and ruined romantic relations over and over. Xanax helps but highly addictive. Love your videos thanks! This is the best video I could have come across!
I appreciate your comments so much, I can't describe how happy it makes me feel that I can help someone and feel related to so much. It definitely feels so isolating and lonely at times to live with this, I wish the whole world knew about people like us!!!!! I feel very self conscious, and irritable, because of my sweating and it definitely takes a toll on my relationships too. I wish we could all be 'normal', but we just have to find a way to cope and survive as best as we can. Knowing we aren't alone (and good therapists) help so much haha. I wish you the best of luck and hope you're able to cope with HH
@@SweatyJen hi jen how you been, you never told me about after adding more water to the machine to help around the upper heel to help with the sweating did it work for the upper heel and on the upper side of your feet and on top of your toes, please let me know thank you
Thank you Jen for all these videos! They really do help for someone like me who suffers HH. I finally started glycopyrrolate just 2 months after suffering since I was a kid. From never wanting to touch anyone, having extreme anxiety when having to shake someone’s hand, to now being able to dance salsa! I just started an intro to salsa class and I never would have imagined I could hold a girls hand for a prolonged time without them running away from my sweaty hands. I feel like a new person. However, the side effects of it turns me off from using it daily, so I only use it on the days I need (like when I have a dance class) With a dosage of 1mg in the morning and 1mg in the evening. I supplement it with carpe just to be safe. I just received my dermadry machine today and I can’t wait to see my experience with it. Any updates from you with your experience with dermadry would be great! I wish you the best! Good luck with job searching, physical therapy, and staying safe through this pandemic!
Hi Edrian, thank you so much for your comment, for watching, and for sharing your experiences. This is so incredible to hear! I'm so proud of you for seeking out treatment, and being able to live your life as a more 'normal' person now. It feels so good when we can finally experience the things we have been missing out on. But yeah, the side effects can be quite a lot. I think you've got a great plan in place using carpe, glyco, and dermadry. I would love to do the same, however, I have been struggling mentally and have fallen out of practice using my dermadry machine. I am hoping I can begin using it again very soon, as it did help so much. Keep me posted on your treatments and how it all goes, I'd love to hear more about the way you are going about treating your HH because it is the ideal way I would want to treat mine, too. Best always!! Jen
your channel and your message resonates with me so well... i have like SUPER exaggerated sweat in my hands and feet, and it has definitely taken a toll on my confidence, both socially and professionally and i no longer know where i want to go in life.. its like a feeling of falling behind in life. i hope ill figure it out some time, it sucks!
Hi Mina, so glad I could help you. I do definitely struggle still with accepting my hyperhidrosis, but it helps meeting other people with it. Feeling less alone, and knowing other people are dripping sweat from their feet, makes it easier to accept that I have this condition. With winter here, it's definitely COLD when I sweat, but I'm trying to change clothes often and stay as warm as possible (without triggering sweat from being too warm, lol).
I really appreciate you being so open about your life and hyperhidrosis. I’ve had hyperhidrosis since I was baby. Hands and feet as well for me. I’ve tried so many different treatments over the years but haven’t had too much success. I’m 22 and out of school now, but I used to take frozen water bottles to school everyday and hold them constantly to keep my hands super cold preventing them from sweating. Thats one thing I found that helped me manage it to an extent. I just started using Carpe a couple days ago. Are you still using Carpe? I’m strongly considering getting a Sympathectomy but I’m going to give Carpe a fair shot before I go the surgery route.
Hi Jalen, thank you very much for appreciating my openness about it! I'm happy to hear more about your experience living with hyperhidrosis. It's always awesome to hear from someone else who lives with it. Congrats on finishing school, the frozen water bottles is a fantastic idea. I really need to start using some of those myself. I do not use carpe, at the moment, but it's an amazing product and it does work. It never worked 100% perfectly, but sometimes just managing it even 50% can make you feel a ton better. Have you met with a dermatologist yet? The surgery is definitely a huge decision and should be researched plenty beforehand.
@@SweatyJen Sorry i’m just now seeing this. I really appreciate your response Jen! I’m about 3 weeks in using Carpe and applying it a few times a day and honestly haven’t seen too much success. Sometimes throughout the day my hands and feet are dry but when they’re triggered to sweat they just burst through the Carpe with a vengeance. Maybe even a little worse tbh. I think i’m going to discontinue using Carpe or any other topicals for now. I like the idea of being aluminum free and attempting to heal hyperhidrosis naturally through diet and lifestyle. I’ve found in my experience that eating a raw vegan diet has decreased my hyperhydrosis significantly. About a month or two ago though I started including some more stimulating foods like cacao, maca and other herbs that i’ve noticed tend to make my hands sweat on overdrive. Thats when I decided to try Carpe because my hands were sweating extra but looking back on it I think it was just those different foods I was was experimenting with. So my plan is to continue simplifying my diet and lifestyle, cutting out all stimulants and herbs that can have a stimulating effect on the adrenals, and take a break from Carpe and other topicals and see if If its possible to heal hyperhidrosis naturally. I’m still open to the Sympathectomy as a last resort. Like you said though, I need to do a lot of research and speak to a dermatologist before hand. Its been a few years since i’ve seen a dermatologist. Just curious, what made you discontinue using Carpe?
@@JalenSills Hi Jalen that sounds like a great plan you have and I wish you all the best with your experience ! Please keep me posted on healing your hyperhidrosis through lifestyle changes!!! I'd suggest not to go for ETS. iontophoresis works for me. Initially it didn't, but one's got to be consistent with it. It has worked I'd say 99% for me
It's so good to hear from you Jen! I have been wondering how your hh is doing. It's interesting to hear your sweating has been up recently because mine has been up this week also. It's weird because I was doing good for like months and then this week it was just much more than usual. I was trying to figure out what the cause could be such as diet or activity, but since you mentioned it is affecting you as well I think it may be this warm weather. It's strange because it is not like it is 90 degrees or anything but I think it is because of this time of year our bodies are expecting it to be cold and then when it is 70 degrees it kind of throws everything off. Hopefully it cools back down and gets back to something more manageable. I'm sorry to hear that person did not take it seriously when you mentioned about your condition. I agree how the temperature is very important for us and our comfort. If I go into a room and it is warm and I know I have to stay there, it's such a stressful feeling. It's hard for people to understand that when they don't have the condition. It can be hard to figure out what you want to do for work especially in these times when it seems like the job market is a lot more limited. People always ask kids what they want to be when they grow up, but that question also applies to adults! A lot of people spend their whole life trying to figure out what they truly want to do. I have heard of that movie The Secret, but I have not seen it yet so I will add it to the list. One movie I just saw that was very interesting is called Searching For Sugarman. It is streaming for free on IMDB TV. Basically it is a true story documentary about this singer/guitar player name Rodriguez who made a couple albums in the 70's that did not have any success, but it turns out somehow his music made its way over to South Africa and it became hugely popular without him even knowing. In the documentary they try to find out what happened to him. If you want to check it out, I recommend try to avoid reading too much about it so it does not spoil it. Another movie I really like, not sure if I mentioned it before, is The Disaster Artist (I think it is on Netflix now). It is based on the true story about a struggling actor named Tommy Wiseau who decides to make his own movie called The Room which ends up becoming known as the best worst movie ever. He is a fascinating character and the story is wonderful. I could go on with more recommendations, but I think this might be getting long haha. Congrats on all the new subscribers!

Hello! I do still take glycopyrrolate. It does still work for me, however, as usual it can vary day by day depending on a lot of factors. It's still super useful for me though, and I continue to work with my pharmacy and dermatologist to be sure it is still worth the side effects. It costs ~$15 USD for 30 1 milligram tablets, with insurance.
I mostly rely on glycopyrrolate (an oral medicine) but iontophoresis machines help a lot, and so do topical treatments like Carpe! I also enjoy using sweat absorbent undershirts from time to time like ones from officeundershirt or thompson tees. Both of those simply absorb the underarm sweat hiding the pit stains without reaching the shirt that people see from the outside view! I hope this helps. If you have questions please ask!

There are many different treatments available now for us with hyperhidrosis and they are always making more advancements! My first advice for you would be to go to the doctor and get a referral to a skin specialist, also known as a dermatologist. They will have a lot of knowledge about sweating and be able to work with you and your specific needs to figure out the best treatment to begin with. Usually, they will want you to start by trying a treatment you apply to the skin to start since it has the least side effects. I hope this helps!

It's still super useful for me though, and I continue to work with my pharmacy and dermatologist to be sure it is still worth the side effects. It costs ~$15 USD for 30 1 milligram tablets, with insurance.
Ohhhh thank you very much, love lots and happy new year ❤️❤️
How do you manage armpit hyperhidrosis without it messing up you shirts from sweat and odor?
I mostly rely on glycopyrrolate (an oral medicine) but iontophoresis machines help a lot, and so do topical treatments like Carpe! I also enjoy using sweat absorbent undershirts from time to time like ones from officeundershirt or thompson tees. Both of those simply absorb the underarm sweat hiding the pit stains without reaching the shirt that people see from the outside view! I hope this helps. If you have questions please ask!
You can also try Thompson tee they sell it at Amazon but I don’t just used it alone , I wear armpit pads put them in my Thompson tee shirt and then wear my regular shirt and trust me you will see no sweat , I just double the pads by putting one more in front and one more in the back, and half a pad in the middle of armpit the pads are also Amazon kleinarts? Armpit pads

My hyperhidrosis makes my armpits itch:/.
Same, especially certain materials!
How can I stop sweaty ✋ hand ....
I hope this helps!
i hope ur doing good, pls make more videos
