- My last Celia/Aurora video for a while.
On behalf of Slash, SiriusRoses, Twenties Girl, YellowBeetle, the uploaders, and lesbian sisters, I dedicate this video to our foresisters who fought, sacrificed, and endured all the hardships and persecutions in their days so that we can have what we have today. Our heart and gratitude also go to supporters of our plight and causes who lent their hand and shoulder, had our back, and fought on our side. They might not understand us, but they saw and treated us as equal, and that is more than enough.
It only needs the love, faith, confidence, and support from someone to make a person 'shine like a candle in the dark.' Aurora is the wind beneath Celia's wings. I'll say that that someone doesn't have to be a romantic interest. Someone (a friend, a colleague, a teacher, etc.) who believes in and encourages a person can miraculously change her/his life. Sometimes, one sentence is enough to do the trick - 'I believe in you,' or 'You can do it.' That's all it takes.
In Aurora, Celia found strength and inspiration to break away from fear and despair, to accept herself, and to have hope in order to emerge as a confident fighter. And now she expresses her love and loyalty to her partner just the same.
Folks, if you haven't watched this soap, we encourage you to give it a shot. I have a small tinge of hope that the couple won't end up like Jathea and Crisabel. Come join us in rooting for them.
This song was first chosen for a Jade/Althea video, but somehow their story stopped me in the middle. Personally, I think because of the way it was written, it couldn't carry the lyric's powerful context. Jathea were outnumbered by the enemies' size and power, as well as their level of brutality. How could two tiny women outdo wealthy thugs who held too much might over their heads, individually? (In fact I had too many issues with TRMD and had said it all, so there's no point mentioning anything now.) My attempt to use this song was renewed in, and rescued by, Celia's statement and story.
Before you are bored to death with my nonstop uploads, please let me explain. I make videos when I'm either inspired or infuriated, and lately I have been both. LOL There are also many unfinished projects. Therefore, as an advance warning, please be advised that there will be 2 uploads (one sad, one funny, I think) later this week. It's a 2-part Lena/Monte series dedicated to Joan76S and to my fellow Monte fans. So I'll say 'Lo siento' right here right now. :-}

UPDATE 2015.11.02 Here I was, thinking about our foresisters' fight against discrimination and for equality. Just today the female Russian cosmonauts were being questioned, not on their abilities to handle tasks, but on LAME sexist issues. I guess sexism is alive and well, even in the field as advanced as 'rocket science.' I guess I'll give up questioning the same mentality in those religious fanatics, then. Please read and laugh.

+ilvsamcat I hope so, too, that it's not anything indicating something of monumental concerns. This soap is set in 1913. Our expert followers of the show anticipate a development of a love triangle. LOL You know, it's got to be a sexual tension that keeps viewers glue to the story as to whom she'll choose, how intensive/passionate the rivalry will be, how ingenious the rivals will outdo each other, etc., etc., the more scandalous, the better. :-}
