- Happy Valentine's Day 2019, folks. Celebrating ordinary lesbians just like ourselves. I hope you see yourselves in here somewhere. The couple at the end had been together for 72 years before they got to get married. Imagine how much love and dedication have kept them together through their years.
Didn't think I could finish on time because all the photos had to be resized, so please forgive some blurry images.
The fact that the video contains couples doesn't mean single sisters were left out. No, not at all. This only shows what awaits you, so please be optimistic and hopeful. If you haven't found your own 'her' yet, please don't ever give up. She's out there. It's just a matter of time. You two will meet at the right time, at the right place, and fall for each other with all the right reasons. It may not be 'love at first sight,' but it could be developed from 'a friendship,' which I think is the best kind. Don't ever give up, ladies. Keep being your lovely, sweet, kind, funny, friendly selves. She will see you and fall for you.
I can never give good advice as to what to do, or how and where, to find your 'her,' so if any sisters can drop some suggestions, PLEASE DO. Will a bookstore, a coffee shop, a grocery store, a park, a wedding, a cousin's birthday party, a charity drive, etc, be a good place for chance meets? LOL I know I'm being vanilla and we're not there simply to scan for potential love interests, but we've got to start somewhere. I always imagine a loving and fun lesbian taking her nieces and nephews to a shopping mall, or an ice cream shop, or a park, and the kids (unintentionally, yet usefully) making a mess. She would laugh out loud at the kids and they would, too. That laughter would attract some lovely and thoughtful 'fellow soul sister' who would step in and rescue her... Ahem! :-D The key is KEEP SMILING, ladies. Your confidence is very attractive, and even sexy (that's from some guys' perspective).
I have no idea about online searching, but it works for some friends of mine.
Happiness starts inside of us. We can't control the world and others, but only ourselves. Find it somehow. Create it if you have to. It's the basis of our existence. Just be patient and hopeful, and keep being the lovely you.

We can only hope that others who watch this video later will see that these fellow sisters are just ordinary people. All we can see here is love, and we only need freedom to love someone, just like everyone else does. There's no vulgarity about our love at all, and there's no reason to 'hate' lesbians. Why is there so much prejudice against us? Something we can never understand.

Dear friend, I'm really sorry for the absence these days, lots of sadness to cope here and also a lot of work to do, anyway, I just want You to know that I loved this piece and the other ones, I mean, the Juliantinas ones, but I'm too disappointed to elaborate any idea about this ship, for me they are disconnected, all that caring and all the love just faded away, all I can see is another ship slowly sinking, I know they will end up together, but right now everything is a sad hearbreaking scenario...

My sweetest Luzi - Muito obrigada to you always, and please, no apologies are ever needed for whatever. I, too, found myself at a loss after Episode 72 and had a hard time finishing the post-Ep72 works. The writers robbed us of something precious. We were robbed of our joy, happiness, optimism, expectation, pride, confidence, etc. Though knowing fully well that we were watching and being consumed by a simple soap, we still have the right to expect being entertained with respect and dignity. Our representative couple just didn't get any in their portrayals of us. Their being a same-sex couple was tainted with self doubt, indecisiveness, and lack of confidence in their feelings and in the other. Seems like Val is the only one who upholds her end of their 'pacto.' Instead, the writers had the supposedly 'tough' Juls become an insecure and weak young ADULT who made a grave decision DESPITE knowing fully well of what could happen if she was in a private room with a man who had shown sexual interest in her, and in the presence of a strong drink. Talk about naivete and/or stupidity. The question is - was that part necessary to drive the story forward? My take is NO, it was absolutely unnecessary. Maybe it's a way to appease the hetero audience? Just my guess. But yes, the permanent damage was done at our expense and to our hearts.
However, please take heart, my sweetest Luzi. Everyone has confirmed that at least our couple will have a happy end. We can just go for that and may have to hide our resentment and heartbreak. All that the writers stuck us with are just those, plus some deep pain and a tainted love story. We still have one another, my dear. We will keep up our hope for fairness and balance in future representations. And YOU are my light, too, dear friend. A light that leads my thoughts and creativity.
