(Actually, I mix Nutella with peanut butter, cocoa powder, and instant coffee. Crazy, huh. But you should try it. It's pretty good if you like dark chocolate. This is my way of making Nutella a bit less sweet.)
In such case, dear Olga, you can skip the cocoa powder and the instant coffee. By mixing peanut butter with Nutella, you're simply balancing sweetness and saltiness, which are the two largest taste areas on our tongues. That's why Reese's peanut butter cups or Butterfinger bars taste just about right. Taste buds for the bitter taste is toward the deeper end of the tongue, so maybe a little instant coffee might stimulate them for a more balanced taste profile? I don't think adding lime or lemon powder is needed, though, but I may try it. LOL Maybe we'll achieve a divine umami taste! Thanks to my dear friend Sunshine who told me years ago to be more adventurous with food, I now eat many weird combos of things. :-D P.S. Please enjoy taquitos for me.
