Fantastically interesting video. Alex, you’re a wonderful teacher. Your explanations are clear, simple and relatable (even to beer drinking by a pond). Please keep us updated on your beekeeping progress 🐝
I've had very aggressive bees before. They were mean but they made the bees. The bees I have now are so sweet and gentle. That makes for happier beekeeper. I have 5 hives. Thank you for your videos.
I have started beekeeping 1 year ago with 3 hives now i have 45 hives thanks to u i had inspiration. Now my next goal is only honey harvest and i hope i make them 100 next year :)
Hi, Alex. I recently discovered your channel, and I can’t stop watching your gardening and bee keeping journey. You inspired me to grow my own veggies and herbs again. Hopefully this time I can keep them alive. 😅😂🤣
Alec please advise your viewers who may get bees this way to follow the recommended instructions by leaving the nuc in the spot they will live for a few hours or a day so they can orientate to that area. Then once they have mapped out the area then transfer to a hive.
Love seeing your videos Alex. You’re such an inspiring young lad. Keep them coming. Hope the bees do well for you. Saw Lawrence’s video when you collected them too. Absolutely fascinating. Really enjoy seeing them. 👍🇮🇪
Greetings from Ireland ..Great video Alex…I’m a nubee with my first hive 5 weeks ago…unfortunately it swarmed 4 days after I got it…was at work so no chance to catch the swarm!! Still learning Thanks for all your content…I don’t feel too bad now
great to see the progress of the apiary. Its like 2am here and I've just caught the upload. I hope the new bees settle in and everything goes well for you this year.
I always love watching your videos I learn so much from them! I also love the style of your videos and how excited you get about learning such an inspiration. Thank you for making your content and the time you take to put it all together telling a wonderful story while sharing what you learned. I look forward to future videos and updates. Love from Morocco!
I got some random bees from a local beekeeper. They are also really calm bees, especially the smaller hives. I realy need to do something wrong to make them sting. But as the hive grows they do get a bit more curious but do not to sting.
IMO still collect colonies from anywhere but use them just for the worker bees and requeen them with known quality stock with known good attributes as soon as possible is the best and most cost effective technique if you can afford it. Its cheaper than kerp buying nucs and will have same results within a month or two.
I am thrilled that you are so knowledgeable about you set your mind to. Greetings! Such beautifully calm those bees are. My solitaty wild bees are like this in my garden. So calm and sweet.
Why are bees being fed sugar in the winter, instead of the portion of the honey they provided? Wouldn"t that make them more strong versus the elements and parasites?
As usual another awesome video but gotta say we need more lol. I have learned a lot from you keep going mate miss the cooking stuff and the foraging videos those were awesome. You should mix in foraging cooking videos and some just cooking videos and your gardening ones when your in-between bee videos watching you learn and grow as you do stuff and how you explain everything is great.
Yeah black mountain honey helped me loads when starting out great videos from you both iv also brought a F1BF queen from Laurence highly recommended ✌🏽
I don't understand how I got a bee in my bonnet. Here I was, watching youtube, and then his guy is on about starting beekeeping and I'm still watching him.
❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉bee 🐝🍯🐝🍯🐝 thank you Alex 😁 am in Kampala, Uganda, Africa 🌍 and I really love your bee 🐝 business, farming, education and your travels showcasing bee keepers . I love honey 🍯 but I have never kept bees. Bees here are angry 😡 so I would always chase them .
I just got my first ever bees eariler today. I used a package but im kinda worried bc i dont see a single flower in sight other then my neighbors. Anyways, i sat on a rock for over an hour watching bees getting used to their hive. Heck, i didnt even wear a suit watching them. I only had one bee try stinging me and it was completely my fault, i accidently sqeezed it. Bees are amazing.
There’s probably not that much content available as growing vegetables and working with bees tends to not have much involvement after the beginning of the season and the end of season, a lot is just checking things to make sure everything is okay and that’s it.
Hi Alex, could I ask what the box at 1:07 is called? Also, do you think that would be good for someone who's new to keeping bees or would you recommend starting bigger
I love having a long video every once and a while over a quick video each week it’s more entertaining and I know it’s easier to keep that monthly schedule ❤❤❤ keep up the great work ** but what’s honestly most important to me is that you do this at your own pace so you enjoy it don’t do it if you feel burnt out we’d all much rather you take care of yourself than stick to a schedule
Hi Alex, I saw RUclips video call Heavy works its about farming in USA I was watching bee keeping I started watching it and realise it's your videos that I've seen on your channel
bees need to be certain that you or best friends take care of them. So keep an undershirt for some time, two days, in front of their house. So the bees get used to your smell and they will not see you as an aggressor. Most peaceful bees live in South America. There are species who have no capacity to a make a sting. What I am interested in is how music, the G string music of J.S. Bach influences the bees or frequencies 432 or 528 or others.
Hi Alex! My wife has found your channel and become enthralled with the idea of beekeeping. I'm OK with this! But please. Next video. Tell Charlotte to let Mark have a dog, too. Thank you!
Hey Alex! I’m from the US and have traveled to London, do you have some honey I can buy ? I’ve watched your journey with the bees and I’d love to support the work. I’m only here two days, I fly out June 19th. Hope your having fun keeping the bees.
It's quite amazing how much you've grown in taking care of bees, I still remember your first video about beekeeping
Fantastically interesting video. Alex, you’re a wonderful teacher. Your explanations are clear, simple and relatable (even to beer drinking by a pond). Please keep us updated on your beekeeping progress 🐝
I'm looking forward to seeing all your progress this year, thanks for the great videos!
That's how i like to start my saturday morning. "This is the way" Thanks Alex

Happy for you and your new bees! Any update on your alotment ambitions? Have the slugs taken over??
I have the same problem with slugs I put road salt around and under my hive
Another great video Alex. Laurence is a top man to buy a nuc from and his aftercare is second to none. You’re in with the right team there.
Hi, Alex. I recently discovered your channel, and I can’t stop watching your gardening and bee keeping journey. You inspired me to grow my own veggies and herbs again. Hopefully this time I can keep them alive. 😅😂🤣

I really enjoy these beekeeping videos you’ve been making. Congrats on your new hive!

Love seeing your videos Alex. You’re such an inspiring young lad. Keep them coming. Hope the bees do well for you. Saw Lawrence’s video when you collected them too. Absolutely fascinating. Really enjoy seeing them. 👍🇮🇪
There are a few people how have a high chance of surviving in an apocalyptic senario. This guy, is one of them.
Greetings from Ireland ..Great video Alex…I’m a nubee with my first hive 5 weeks ago…unfortunately it swarmed 4 days after I got it…was at work so no chance to catch the swarm!!
Still learning
Thanks for all your content…I don’t feel too bad now
You're where that swarm came from!!!
great to see the progress of the apiary. Its like 2am here and I've just caught the upload. I hope the new bees settle in and everything goes well for you this year.
Even though I don’t keep Bees the video content you create is fascinating and really interesting. Keep them coming Alex, great effort 👍

Very interesting, I didn't know so much work went into bee keeping and making me that little jar of honey, 😊
Alex, I love these beekeeping-videos, they are so informative.
Alex, it would be nice if you did a video explaining the different types of bees. (Workers, drones, queens, carpenters and bumblebees)
I am thrilled that you are so knowledgeable about you set your mind to. Greetings!
Such beautifully calm those bees are. My solitaty wild bees are like this in my garden. So calm and sweet.
Great dude .. your videos are mind refreshing. Plus if someone is down, it's a healer. Your videos are also very informative. 👍☺️🥳
Why are bees being fed sugar in the winter, instead of the portion of the honey they provided? Wouldn"t that make them more strong versus the elements and parasites?
The honey is more of a recourse than food to the bees. Also, sugar is s great energy source and a delicious snack for them.
I am always so calm after watching your videos 😌😌
Great advertisement for Lawrence well done🐝✅
an Alex video on my saturday morning? Hell yeah! Another awesome video! Keep it up :)
Super interesting! Would love some calm bees!❤

Great short vid! We're inspiring ❤
I just got my first ever bees eariler today. I used a package but im kinda worried bc i dont see a single flower in sight other then my neighbors. id take 3 20 min Vids a week and a 40min vid a month😊
I would take a 40 min video every other day!!
There’s probably not that much content available as growing vegetables and working with bees tends to not have much involvement after the beginning of the season and the end of season, a lot is just checking things to make sure everything is okay and that’s it.
Growing mushrooms
Growing veg
Beekeeping
Traveling
Fishing
Foraging
Hunting
Camping
Etc etc
Agreed
i think you have to tell people that you have a patreon because i bet there would be a lot of people willing to support you that dont know about it
Mum… Alex dropped a new video! It’s going to be a great weekend
you were my inspiration to start gardening. thank you
Nice one Alex. Did you put empty frames in with your nuc frames?
Hello Alex 👍
have a lovely day lads
Hi Alex, could I ask what the box at 1:07 is called? Also, do you think that would be good for someone who's new to keeping bees or would you recommend starting bigger
Bee keeping is so interesting how long can you leave your bees for un attended so you can go traveling
Love your videos Alex! Are these less aggressive bees more vulnerable to more aggressive bees, hornets or other predators?
I have seen beekeepers kill a queen when the hive becomes too aggressive, and then they bring in a new queen.
Awesome!! I love bees!
Can you do more skiing I love skiing and I have watched every single video of skiing pls do more
8:47 "Making sure none of the bees are crushed" Instantly crushes one
it's always a good day when Alex drops a new video
I hope you get to have your own property eventually to raise bees and veggies. I enjoy your videos.
I see no comments about how great your sunnies look, so here’s one! Your sunglasses really suit you 😎
Ah thanks 🤩
Hi Alex, I saw RUclips video call Heavy works its about farming in USA I was watching bee keeping I started watching it and realise it's your videos that I've seen on your channel
You should visit our country and learn about our Carniolian bees. Also you could see a 100:1 3D bee model.
Yay new video 😊😊
Can we keep 2 or 3 different types of bees in same garden?
Great video Alex
Excellent Alex, keep up the great work 👍👍
I become a beekeeper, thanks to you ❤️
You should come to the North American Honey Bee Expo in January.
Thanks Alex for the new bee vid :)
