I used to do the same thing. Didn't want to spend the money on the driver kit until I realized how many bearings and seals I had ruined by using sockets. I don't regret buying the kit at all
Good video. Maybe it's just me but I would prefer to see it all in regular time rather than fast forwarded. I've watched a few of your videos and they have helped me solve more than one problem. Thanks, and keep up the good work!
Great videos. I’m in the middle of a complete 02 rancher 350 bearing and seals replacement, as well as CV axles…all done except for the rear dif. Do you have a tips and tricks for the rear dif? I don’t need a whole detailed vid, just what I should be aware of. Special tools etc…
Awesome video I have an 03 rancher and the same bearing went bad. Do you know how I could get the new one in and seated far enough down if I don’t have that special tool that you used? Also have fun replacing that rubber boot over the drive shaft because I think you have to take off the whole back end to slide the new boot on.
Possibly a large pvc pipe or a punch and a large washer? I already replaced the boot. Can't remember if I did it in this video or not, it was a long time ago. You don't have have to remove the swing arm because the shift is spring loaded. Other yrs/models maybe a different story.
So I recently found my rear right rear wheel nut completely loose. It was only held on by the cotter pin. Either the axel threads have warn down or the nut threads have warn down such that it doesn't even feel like the right size anymore. I'm really hoping I wont need a new axel.
I bought a kawasaki mojave that had the same problem. The splines on the wheel hub were worn completely down. I didn't notice when I bought it because the hub was welded to the axle in the rear and painted over.
Are you going to make a video of you changing that boot? My rancher started making a grinding noise in that area, and I’d like to see what it looks like and what to expect to buy before I tare into it lol
@@johnwalters7415 again, every fastener on any manufactured machine has a torque spec. If you are referring to the axle nut, you want to get it as snug as you can without stripping it, then put the cotter pin in.
Bearing driving tool kit is a nice upgrade after using impact sockets for years

It helped me thank you for posting. Your right I've had to take the swing arm out and rebuild the whole rear end.
Love the fishing pole storage overhead. Good video
Thanks, dude! Got tired of poles being wadded up in the corner...

They just have basic gear cases. Nothing to it but to do it! I'd recommend watching partzillas videos. He may have one more in depth.
@@doitallgaragetx thanks!

Well, you could always grind it down and rethread it...

I couldn't get good footage of it. I was by myself in the garage that day and it's definitely a 2 hand job.

Either quadboss or moose. Can't remember. They are both made by all balls. Can't go wrong with either one
How tight do you retighten the big but on the end
The best way to get the torque specifications is to purchase a factory service manual. Otherwise, you just have to use your best judgement......
@@doitallgaragetx , so they're basically snug down like you would on a car
