I used to work at Burger King and this just brought memories! It was my favourite job in the world, even if I was just making fries, nuggets or burgers or even cleaning I still loved it🥺❤️

The McDLT was something similar.
@Utopian Seeker Ehhhh, not really. The McDLT was essentially a Deluxe Quarter Pounder with Cheese split between veggies/sauce and protein.
Plus, even if it was basically a Whopper, it's discontinued so I'd just be re-creating a McDonald's menu item that isn't sold at McDonald's in order to re-create a different Burger King menu item that isn't sold at McDonald's, instead of just making the Whopper directly.
McDonald's has all the ingredients in a whopper anyway, save for the Flame-Broiled flavour.

What did you put on the burger before the pickles? I used to work there back in the day when we still had a steamer for the burgers and we microwaved the burgers as we were preparing. But we didn't have a gun that shot something on the burgers. Looked like salt?
Most likely some kind of seasoning salt to give it flavor which really helps & tastes good. The BK in my area uses it for both the Whopper & Impossible Whopper
