Thanks! I hadn't heard about this yet. So happy for all the good people who have been sacrificing to be obedient and faithful! Now they will be able to be much more comfortable and still show their dedication to their covenants!
Thank you for your love of the sacred garment, I’ve always loved wearing the sacred garment, they have never made me hot, I just feel warm and loved when I wear them. They remind me of the sacrifice of our dear Savior Jesus Christ ❤
I just found your channel the other day and I’ve enjoyed a couple of your videos so far. I love the content. However, the most striking thing for me is to hear the words “I love you” spoken in a female voice. I never heard that for at least the first 25 years of my life. Then when I did, it was from my mother-in-law. She passed way 10 years ago so it’s been a while since I’ve heard it much in a female voice. I want to keep listening just to hear that. Thank you for your love. It is sincere. That’s an amazing thing to me. ❤
@EmilyCate2650, your words meant so much. Thank you for your kindness in sharing them. Bless you for who you are. I think you must be a most magnificent individual to have been resilient in the face of what you described. What an honor to have you here at the channel because of your example of tenacity in the Lord despite what you have experienced. Bless you for your goodness and for who you are as a divine woman of God!
The heat and humidity is horrible through out the summer months in the Midwest. I had horrible experiences with the garment! I tried different material and styles. In the 70's. I hear now they are RE- adjusting for the African people. Strange they didn't get this revelation years ago for us here in USA.
I am grateful this may be a different experience for you! Bless you for you and sharing your experience. Sending you virtual hugs and cheers! You are so important, and I hope you have a fantastic day full of warmth and the love of the Lord. I'd give you a hug in person if that were possible!
@FamiliesInTheMillennium my first MIL was a no nonsense person. She told me: that the garment was to be a constant reminder....good or bad. Plus, there is always opposition in all things. She had no sympathy!!😆
Thank you for the great information about the sacred garment of the Holy Priesthood. Some may mock, but I am at peace with this reminder each day of my relationship with my Savior and Heavenly Father as the Father of my spirit.
@lindataukiuvea1170, Thank you for your example of love and connection with the Savior and Heavenly Father. That is so strengthening for all of us. Bless you for sharing!
Thank you for this. I first went through the temple in 1989 (Almost exactly 35 years ago) & even tho I was happy to wear garments I really struggled with them, as they all had hard itchy lace & I have very sensitive skin. In the end I got permission to take all the lace off. (I know we’re not supposed to alter them but I was desperate). After this it was ok. I’ve had to do this with every pair of garments that I’ve bought since then. I recently found out that they don’t make garments with lace on anymore & this is such a relief to me. When I look at the lack of dress standards in the world today it makes me especially grateful for temple garments. (I don’t mean this in a judgey way.) Heavenly Father certainly blesses me for wearing them. Also, for some members here in the UK sometimes find garments a challenge in the summer, as most of houses & flats & also some shops don’t have air conditioning & this can be really hard. Whenever I feel too hot in the summer I pray to Heavenly Father for the help to keep wearing my garments & He always helps me.
Meat increases body temperature. Word of wisdom says to eat meat sparingly except in times of famine or winter. Dairy also increases body temp. So do certain herbs and spices. Just keep that in mind especially in the summer time. Its not all to do with your clothes. Also drink enough water. And stay away from caffeine, for a variety of reasons, but its a diuretic and will make you loose the water you just drank to keep cool.
Thank you for this information. I have lived in a country where it was very hot in the summer, these new garments would have been great, and very cold in the winter. I would have loved a ladies' thermal vest that was longer, coming down past the bottom and having a much higher neckline. When the wind chill is -28° centigrade keeping warm is a must. Your explanation is beautiful, thank you again.
Hi and thank you for this video of the garment of the holy priesthood. Not too many years ago the Church referred to it simply as "garment," thinking the last part was itself too sacred to mention. Now the phrase "of the holy priesthood" is now mentioned more openly. If you know Christian Homestead he has a video not about the garment but of significant symbols representing it in the city of David.. The video is entitled, "Melchizedek's Temple Found in the City of David! - Modern Day Parallels." I would put the link here but most times when I do that, the link disappears even the message as well.
This is amazing! I have struggled with garments in Italy every summer. It was so hot that I felt like fainting sometimes. Not talking about hit rushes. This is like an answer for a prayer 🙏🏻.
The only thing is no one should see these, except for your husband or your wife; that’s it,so no one should be able to make fun of you for something they should never see. also two weeks ago in sacrament meeting our bishop talk to us about a message that had been passed down about being able to see your garments when you lift your arms or that they might peek out at the top of your your tops or shirts or your your shorts or your skirt and we need to make adjustments to make sure that, that it is not seen by others. The new ones look wonderful. And I’m excited to get them.
Thank you so much for this news. I too have been very worried about the people in horribly hot countries. I have felt sorry for them having to wear so much under clothing. This is a wonderful blessing for them. I have been hoping and praying that this would happen for them since we have friends in the very hot Islands of the South Pacific. And you explained it so perfectly like I have never really heard before. Thank you again.
The garment is sacred and should not be paraded to the world in this manner. I do not appreciate your video na matter how strong your testimony is the garment is sacred and should be left as such.
Thank you both for being so caring. Bless you. I've added additional information to the video's description box to add that the pictures came from the church. Thank you for making a difference in sharing.
I agree with you Thankyou for your courage to tell the truth. Johanna 🇦🇺 west Australia. 52*C in the shade and glad to make sure I am wearing modest clothing. Not sleeveless not shorts
I’m not sure how you get paraded. The Lord never intended for His Gospel to be shrouded in secrecy, only that we should take great pains to be reverent with the great things we’ve been given. Sacred and secret are two very different concepts. It is after all those who persecute and do evil who want to keep their dealings out of the light out of shame and fear; we on the other hand need keep no secrets, but use our best inspired judgment to know what He would have us show and tell others. The things found in and connected with the temple are no different. This sister’s video is for those who believe, and it being a sacred topic she has taken pains to keep her spirit reverent as she discusses them. There are many others who DO “parade” the garment as you said; I think you would find in no way would those people speak as she did.
I’m sorry, but I wore them for decades. They are so uncomfortable and hot and I am absolute miserable wearing them. I tolerated them as long as I could and finally gave up. I didn’t feel right wearing them and hating them at the same time. Heavenly Father knows my struggles and how hard I tried to keep wearing them.
The Lord will judge on the intents of your heart. I for one wouldn’t judge you, only counsel you to seek His continued guidance, and help to strive to keep the covenants you have made to the best of your ability. This is what makes the Gospel so wonderful, that He and He alone understands us and loves us perfectly.
@@DavidTimmonsEsq David, thank you for your kind, nonjudgmental words. I love Heavenly Father and His church. I do continually pray about being able to tolerate them. Maybe someday it will happen. 🙏🏼
Wow, you flat-out lied to us. What a freaking example! You tell us you’re gonna explain the new garments and yet you spend half of the video talking about the importance of wearing the garments and not ridiculing the garments but nothing about the design of the new garment until the end
I can add this here to be helpful. At about 1/4 into the video (starting at about 5:35) there are the specific pieces of information about the design. I hope that's helpful! Thank you all! I love you and pray everyone of you feel God's arms around you!
I think you shouldn’t expose sacred things like garments to the public they can learn those things when they join the church I don’t think the lord is very happy about what you are exposing to the public
Louise, you matter to me very much. How kind of you to share your important thoughts with me. Here are some of the examples I used from resources given by the church itself referenced in the video to make sure that things followed exactly how the church shares information: President Holland: The Garment of the Holy Priesthood www.churchofjesuschrist.org/s... Access to information on the garment is freely found online now including images, from a variety of sources, many of which mock or seek to lead astray those who might come to to a fulness of His Gospel. This sister is by no means seeking to deceive, misinform or lead astray, nor does she mock sacred things. We are to take great care to treat the garments as sacred, and not throw pearls before swine as the Savior cautions us, and in both of these things this sister has succeeded. There are no secret things, only sacred things. If the Lord truly is unhappy with her, only He and she can know, and she can humble herself and repent of what is needful, and that is for her to learn. But I’ve seen nothing here that inclines me to believe she has treated the garment with anything but reverence and respect.
Thank you so much for words. I love my garments and never want to be without them🤗
That is just beautiful, @Raggedy-Ann. That is how I feel too.

There are some exceptions, for example: at the doctor and you need to take your close off for a physical, or if you are serving in the military.
A certain style of men’s garments have a crew neck. Should the men have to button up their shirts?

I hope they are cotton ,I have a nylon against my skin issue.
Now they need to make women’s tops with padding on the chest so you don’t have to wear a bra. It’s hot wearing a bra and the garment and a t-shirt
