I LOVE the leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! I left the church 20 years ago because I was offended by things that had been said. My life after leaving was terribly dark. I had become an alcoholic and drug addict. In the space of “not many years” I was homeless and hopeless. God NEVER gave up trying to rescue me. I’ve recently been rebaptized and feel so much joy that only the gospel and God can provide. These men are in many senses just like us- they are not perfect…. However they are trying their best to follow the the only perfect person to walk the earth. So I feel most comfortable trying to follow their admonitions and my Savior, Jesus Christ.

That’s an amazing story. Thank you for leaving that with us. I left too for a time. Dark, hopelessness is what I found as well. I don’t ever want to go without the Holy Spirit, or the Savior again. Like you God was there waiting for me to choose Him. As soon as I did, I was enveloped in His love & charity.

I had to re-watch Elder Bednar's talk because the spirit of warning was VERY distinct.
I've really noticed the African saints OVERFLOWING with the Holy Spirit as the wards and branches grow. Their eyes show so much LOVE for Jesus Christ!
    💜🙏🏼🫂
Yet I've seen so many members in America dropping like flies...😲
People here think that God's word is outdated, not applicable to them, and/or just plain offensive.
I'm far from perfect, but I know that I returned to church after almost 2 decades of inactivity. THAT mistake was definitely learned from, and I believe my testimony is stronger now than EVER!
It's not easy, but being away from the true gospel is way harder, and I'm grateful to have the truth in my life and Jesus Christ as my strength.
I fully sustain our first presidency and our 12 Apostles, and I say this in the name of Jesus Christ amen
    🙏🏼🥰

Start to finish, this GC was focused on perfecting the Saints. I've said for a long time there would be a shift to that someday. We need to become a people worthy to receive the Lord when he comes again, and it is time to get in shape. There are wolves in sheep's clothing among us, and those that need to be strengthened as well as looking inward to our own discipleship.

The Book of Mormon is a sacred record not because of the historical content and context, though it does give a true history of the poeple who lived on the american continent, but because of the voice of Christ, found in the words of the prophets, spoken for us today. As was said, we were shown to the prophest Moroni and he wrote for us. It makes sense when you consider he wasn't making the record for himself or the people alove at that time, but for a future date. I feel in my heart that it is true and we need to heed the warnings of the prophets then and now, and rejoice in the testimony of Jesus Christ given by them then and now.

so for us these days we have to be careful about our pride🙏

I was 11 years old when Ezra Taft Bensen became the prophet, so I don't remember a lot of his council for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Although, I know the words of past prophets are still as important to us in our day. God chose these prophets for His purposes. We most follow the living prophet, although we most still learn from the past as well.

We truly are entering a new phase of the restoration. One where new learning, new insights and new glories are being introduced. Are our minds open to consider them? I know I am. There is an incredible wealth of knowledge coming forth.

I do also love the leaders of the Church. I stayed to myself. I been bully by the white members of the church in my area. I been around the world. I grew up in a Jewish family i was a nanny. I was part of their family. They millionaires and mingle with famous for artist . Then I live with a German millionaire businessman. I entered a life of privilege indeed. But the members bullying me. I believe in the leadership of the churd. This people born in the churd. The church opens opportunities for members to have a practical education. I work hard to bring people to the gospel. I am really overwhelmed I have always been dealing with bullies through many years. My personality is German. I observed and keep to myself. They are mundane. They take the church for granted.I tell the truth. This is a reason why the leaders are unique. Now members are blessed because the Savior created his church on earth. Member trusting this corrupt political season. Thank you Elder Bernard ❤

What a fantastic talk! More records have been found that state the same as the BofM about our day of trouble. The records even go into more detail about our situation now. The church even has allowed members to read it now. The Nemenhah Record answers the following questions: What happened to Hagoth? Corianton? Where did these 30k-50k people go listed in Alma 63:4-6. Would you like to read the Book of Samuel the Lamanite? Where did Samuel come from? Do you know why Moroni finishes his father’s record and has nothing much to say? And then ends up writing 10 chapters of his own? And why the Book of Ether is between those two records? This record is the blueprint for helping to bring Zion.
    Record Overview
The Nemenhah Record is a history that begins with a man named Hagoth whose ancestors left Jerusalem around 600 BC. If you are familiar with the Book of Mormon, Hagoth was the shipbuilder referenced in only a few scripture verses. Around 55 years before Christ’s birth, Hagoth led a sizeable group of people into the North country, or what we know today as North America. Instead of these people following the name tradition of calling themselves either Nephites or Lamanites or any manner of -ites, they called themselves Nemenhah which means “The People” or more accurately “The People guided by the Holy Ghost.”
This record follows the descendants of Hagoth for nearly 1600 years, detailing many incredible and heartbreaking events, up until the time when the Gentiles spread across the Americas and drove the native people from their lands. Within this timeframe, we hear from great prophets such as Samuel the Lamanite, Corianton (son of Alma), Moroni (the last Nephite prophet), women who were prophetesses, the Three Nephites, and many, many more. There are also detailed accounts of Jesus Christ visiting two separate groups of people and teaching them His doctrine. The first appearance was to a people in the Western part of the country in a city called Mentinah, and the second visit was to the Northeastern part of the country, where Corianton and his people lived.
Some of the overarching principles taught are the four core pillars or laws: The Pillar of Knowledge and Obedience, The Pillar of Sacrifice, The Pillar of Virtue, and The Pillar of Consecration. All of these were taught within the home to their children from a very young age. Living these principles, as taught in purity, truly was an endowment unto them. This often culminated in them being taught personally by angels and even the Savior upon The Way. Receiving the gift of the Second Comforter, even a personal witness of Christ is taught throughout. And by far, one of the most oft-repeated principles is seeking wisdom and knowledge through the gift of the Holy Ghost. I know of no record that repeats this invitation more frequently and clearly.

There's a great book by an LDS author that shows that there is perfect harmony between the prophetic statements concerning the garden of Eden being in Missouri and the Old Testament account concerning the garden of Eden. It's called Canaan, Babylon, and Egypt A Comparative Theological Analysis on Creation sold by Eborn Books and Benchmark Books.

Bednar is basically saying that we ARE or close to the wickedness of the Nephites if we do not watch ourselves and the Native Americans are the Lamanaties as they have become more righteous, as it was in the BoM at times, due to pride & other worldy sins. If you can't detect any pride in you, then be cautious. Excellent talk.
