      Feinting into people's attacks is one of the best ways to get an honest reaction out of your opponent

    Wouldn't the curve of the sabre be more forgiving when parrying an axe-like object vs a straight blade? And dueling we can move backwards whereas in a melee maybe that is rarely an option? Maybe a more robust tool that favors forward movement is better for formation too. Lots of factors. Poor humans always fighting. Peace to us all.
