Chose ship 3 when Global came out with my friends. Never really thought about how the other ships are till new people from other ships came to ship 3 and tell me the tales of the other ships

That was actually pretty informative I loved how every ship was detailed out. I have a character on ship 1 that I hardly use anymore but that's the one I started out with. I'll probably refine that character a bit so that I can probably start playing on ship one again. Also for ship 4 you basically nailed it down right 100%. The shopping prices there are absolutely abysmal
I started ship 4 in 2020, in 2022 moved to ship 1 then ship 2 (selection of older Pso2 items, and higher quantities of NGS augs was my main reason) Ship 4 got friendly players, but time zone is a big influence especially when NGS decreased in players; i still have characters in Ship 4, but over 90% of time stay on ship 2; as a mid-core player i would recommend Ship 1 or 2 (I'm not too much into fashion, i log in daily like 30+ hours, I'm not hardcore running for records, but i do like to party up and run base Pso2) Ship 4 feels lonely at times if you're not too social, while Ship 1 and 2 you can constantly que up for party
I've been on ship 4 for for a year and the people there are very lovely very fun to be around and very chatty at times so what you say about ship4 is accurate 🥰
I have been playing less than a month and Ship 4 is my home. It's like a small town, I've been there less than a month, and I don't know everyone yet, but it has a good social vibe to it.
I am on Ship 2 because of friends, but Ship 3 sounds like the best ship for me, as my favorite activity is walking around and liking all the characters that i think look good or interesting.
I'm ship 2, mostly because I came from the old PSO2 from the JP server. Yeah, we are kinda try hard because we solo so hard so everything is harder to do. We do join up to do events making them very easy. But don't worry we're more than happy to carry a decent person just trying to do events. Highly recommended ship 2.
@@CelphTitled7 people don't normally check your equipment. pso2ngs has the power requirement to join the event or matchmaking. So as long as you meet those requirements no one is going to complain about you in the match. They will only be mad if they are already in a group and actively trying to go for a record. Which would be rare for you to join. Normally it's just 8 randoms above the requirement which the game already gate keeps you. So all good if you don't want to play the meta.
From my perspective, I truly believe SHIP 01 has the largest and most active community. Just like you I’ve been a player on Global for awhile. To include Base Game BETA through NGS. Ship 01’s community is fairly large and active and there are times when people will just blacklist for area chat, however, the markets of SHIP 02 03 and 04 are truly not as stabilized due to the lower amount of player base on them scratching as well as the less amount of endgame and TryHard players and more social and fashion players on 02 03 and 04 Personally I have visited all the ships and from my own experience, just as a player, Ship 02 seems to be a Streamer/Content Creator ship. So it does have gravitation for players getting closer to in game celebs. However, when it comes to the active communities. SHIP 01 by far tops in activity and social activities (my opinion). We have fashion, competitive, a boiling pot like New York, as you said. That New York perspective is due to a diverse and large population. However, for the other ships when it comes to those diversified activities, they truly fall short. If you were to truly take the amount of accounts made throughout all SHIPs, you would expect to see most accounts were made on SHIP 01. Whether it be bots or temp players.. gamers usually and especially gamers without knowledge of PSO2 usually would choose the First Ship (thinking from a #1 first ship to choose perspective) This is my opinion, thank you.
Oh yeah ship 3 is nice how everyone just talks in the open and with each other. We also do that a lot to tell of gigas and veteran spawn locations, not as needed anymore with the recent map changes. I also always find people to play with. People very forward to join triggers if someone asks, PSE areas always rooms up, etc.
True about ship 2... however in my experience I have a blast there in both NGS and Oracle (especially in Oracle) and overall is true the competitive portion, but that aside, I had very welcoming people aiding me in how to do most of the stuff in Oracle and also guiding me here and there in NGS, I had even got chances to do Oracle PSO2 UQ's on the highest settings and really have great times finding all kind of stuff to do, finding a great balance of casual play, some serious play here and there, kinda fashionista... yeah, I don't think I'll change ships anytime soon (especially if I touch the Oracle side... as I have the feeling that outside NGS, the ARKS ship would be a "ghost town" of sorts, as I love to play Oracle PSO2 while waiting for the NGS updates).
I'm on ship 1 which seems to have a lot of console players. I would add that most people don't talk because typing on a console is a pain in the dick. I have some "thank you" type messages on auto chat. But that's about it.
I start this game from SHIP 4, ONE month later I moved from SHIP 4 to SHIP 2 (mainly due to the price of AC items ). The descriptions are really accurate .
I really amazed and happy that the first alliance I joined, The League - ship 1, is filled with cool people. And now that Arks Alliance Records are out, we've been rank 2, and again I was just like "wow."
I’ve been on ship 1 and 4 and don’t see any issues anywhere. They’re all about the same but 1 & 2 are just more active than 3 & 4. Same drama and nice people on all ships. Not much difference..
I started on ship 3 due to my instinction (without watching any videos)... and well, i was right. I'm casual + like my designs so, ... pretty happy about the result.
I agree that Ship 3 is one of if not the most casual ship, Kvaris 005 is almost always full with AFKers chilling or what we more fondly call as "lobby rats". I spent good 500 hours roughly (out of 3000+ hours as of now) just chilling in main cities, just to talk with friends. Also, Im one of the minority that you mentioned🤫
I think Ship 01 just got a a whole lot of players just because on PS launch date as per my experience, I can’t access Ship 2,3 and 4 only 1 and I really wanted to join Ship 2 because I’m a raider in FFXIV and since it’s the only mmo I play (it’s really optimized for controller and runs very well on PS5), I went hard as I’m able to in that game. I think the game steered me in the right direction forcing me to create my character on Ship 1 since I don’t know if I want to go hardcore in this game too so balanced is good for me 😂 Most players I see also has the PS logo in their names so I’m actually not sure if most of the players I see will still be playing in the next months. I play genshin too so as my side game so slow release of content is nothing new for me as long as it’s fun to play 😂 I’m already spoiled with so much content in FFXIV anyway so an action mmorpg is a great alternative 😊

im on 3 of the 4 ships starting at ship 2 csuse of the amount of people in discord and from streams that play on 2 that i have gotten to know that wanted to play with and the experience is much like ship 3 only with a little more try hard gear min/max ers, less fahison heavy characters and a less scalped econemy. im a ship 3 main, even queing for UQ and stuff your almost always find the instance fills pertty quickly which is awesome. i like that the alliances are actually really friendly towards eachother theres very little bitchy over competativateness from everyone we just all like to get along getting along, even if the econemy is broken an there are a lot of scalpers we just leave them hanging, there is a thriving commuity of cosplayers that are amazing i have a character on ship 4 too and the community there is really cosy an everyone is soo willing to help when the ship is on the uptime and in the poulated blocks theres always conversation.
I'm in ship 3 and I love it everyone's so nice you can have conversations with people you can just team up with random people you can just have some fun with random people and the Clans are super supportive and cool I love ship 3
I've only ever played ship 4 so most of what you said it's news to me...I thought it was hard to find groups for rayford gorge and the like because pso2 is a niche game ^_^; I play mostly solo and have found you definitely need to make an effort to get to know people here but community is generally very kind
While ship 2 is the largest ship and having the most competition for alliances. I think it has more pros then cons compared to the other ships. With such a large player base on a single ship, you can find ALL KINDS of players, phasionistas, tryhards, casuals, semi-casual, solo player etc. With such a large variety of players, you can always find a group that suits you on Ship 2. :P
Well I'm on ship 4 also a solo player I've no problem grinding alone and I'm totally fine with that. But I have to admit that ship 4 population so low kinda make me feel lonely when afk in the city xD
I asked someone on ship 3 why they would call out a captan if they were just going to kill it and not wait a couple seconds. And they told me to stfu so ship 3 your are bound for random aggressive out burst but once every 2 yrs
I would suggest troll players to go to best ships 5 or 6. Sometimes they are in maintenance, but that's because Sega work hard to make them the best. It'll be worth the very short wait to get in, rather than to make the mistake of picking other ships.
12:46 This isn't limited to one ship lol In fact, it might be worse in others as you can get blacklisted for simple things, like just for asking some valid questions (not even trolling) to officers of some alliances in other ships.
Thank you for the video! Ship 3 definitely seems like the one for me. I do love me some PvP, but I'm not super crazy about it, and would prefer to just play and pvp on my own terms whenever I wanted to. Used to be hardcore back in highschool, but I've turned into a casual player funnily enough.
Yeah, Ship 3 does seem nice. I cut ties with a friend that I had for almost half of my life about a month or so before playing NGS for the first time, so I'm glad to know that I won't have to initiate conversations and people can just walk up and start them up. I'm pretty excited to make new friends.
Ship 4 dead hours are pretty late tho and you are right the shop is insane on ship 4 but I've been here since the beginning and i dont think imma ever change
i was automatically been in ship 3 thorn since day 1.Few players i think but its a fun ship but many had max level players also the Sephiroth single wing is 4 million,now i am on grind for it,i already had 3 million only but i liked that accessory do much.
In ship 3 you feeling down? go to the block full with people, and you will find a lot of hilarious conversation going on and you can join them they won't exclude your presence there
I have been playing this game almost 1.5k hours spent on Ship 3. Back when the PC version is up the first time in Microsoft store a lot of streamers and content creators are picking ship 2, and the image I got from it is there is a lot of strongly opiniated people there, especially people that migrated from JP PSO2 that tends to preach people to min max their build, I felt the atmosphere is too toxic for me. Meanwhile ship 1 the OG is full of XBox players, back then there are some issues with the cross platform systems, so my logical choice back then is the ship 3, the ship that mostly overlooked. Skip a few months the steam version coming up and I was thinking we are finally going to get a massive influx of new players in ship 3, but then they added ship 4. As expected it is quickly filled mostly with Steam players, it is also the go to server for official promotions and sponsored streams, probably to fill up the new server. To be honest, at that moment as a ship 3 players I felt like we are that kid that everybody in class forgot that we ever existed. Though the low profile of the server interestingly attracts a lot of unique people, various communities thrives here as people are less judgmental with each others. Because of that people felt more freely expressing themselves through their characters, which is why you will see extravagant creations, roleplayers, furries, etc. walking around stress free making the scene in ship 3 a quite unique experience. I have make peace with my choice, and I'm happy with this community where people accepting you for whatever your toon or fetish is.
I played pso 2 about hmm 3 months i think ? Last year first time. My pc hard disk unfortunatelly is bit too small to instal current 102 gb and run game smoothly low to medium setting in pc. So i thought to try pso 2 again ps 4 :). I personally feel that ship 3 might be for me the best, i am very casual player that have never played ps online type of games thought i have played phantasy star 4 in sega emulator. Ship 2 was also bit interesting sounding to me. i am social and casual player very new to game to boot ;) so your vid help me a lot.

All and all iv played around 800 hourd on the global and jp when I was younger. Iv been ship 2 since that was the English one in the original Japanese game. Infact I asked for a pc just for the game and the English patch
how much does it cost to transfer ship? is it free now? what item do we get to bring to new ship? what happen to my new char in ship 1 suddenly tranfer to ship 2, while my old char in ship 4 tranfer to ship 2 too. my old char mostly have his store max out. does he bring item in his storage too?
Transferring an existing character from one server to another will cost 700 AC (estimate $7). Creating a fresh new character on another server cost 500 AC, you are allowed to create a total of 3 free characters on one account and any extra characters will have to be paid. If you want to keep very important items before you transfer, you MUST have them in "Inventory" or "Character Storage", since it won't transfer items from any other storage. Anything you have listed in the personal shop will stay on that server as well, so make sure you take out your important items from the shop first before transferring, since the marketplace are separate with different price listings on different servers. Anything related to communication, mail, friends and so on does not transfer either, since they are a separate entity within each ship. However, if you do decide to create a character again on the server you were originally at, your friends and mail should still be safe and intact. Also, if you do have meseta (money) stored in bank, you need to take that out and keep it in your wallet, otherwise that money in the bank will stay on that server and won't follow you to another server. Casino Coins stay on each server as well and can't be transferred whatsoever, but if you kept any Casino Coin Pass tickets (items in your inventory), then that should be transferable at least. For more exact detailed info, you go to PSO2's official site, look at the right side menu, go to Manual > Game Start > Ship Transfer. SHIP 2 is pretty chill we meme a lot and PHASHION. I'm capped on all of classes just farming mats and meseta (I was away for 4 months ). My Alliance is pretty chill. We play both versions a lot .
Completely new to this game and Phantasy Star games jn general but Rpgs with a space feel are interesting to me. First Impressions art style and music are right up my street. Generally I don't like the largest servers in mmos cause they're usually full of toxicity, disgusting economy, bots and mercs. If this info still applies it sounds like ship 1 is the ship for me

Wish i had known this info from the beginning. Then I wouldn't have made the mistake of complaining on ship 4 about the open chat iis nothing but complaints and whining and no one is conversating about the game,and its in EVERY block i transfer to. Im not one of those that troll ppl but its VERY aggravating to want to play the game and everyone else wants to stand around and complain about life. So thanks for this info and to anyone from ship 4 that i made mad i apologize for speaking out in a community that has established itself as a NON GAMING server. You missed the main reason people go to ship 2. JP servers of base game herded us to ship 2. So it's kind of a nostalgic thing for some of us. Maybe that's just me though.
Ship 2 was the PSO JP English ship. Of course it's a super tryhard ship. But it's also the weeb hell ship. Expect both the veterans and the porn spammers-

The game is cross-platform so same ships for everyone! Don't listen to keroppi though, i'm a solo player and ship 4 has been pretty good to me, except for the fact that the playerbase on ship 4 is smaller than on other ships, so finding a party for end-game content usually requires a lot more advertising and asking around.

Been on ship 3 since global launched and it's pretty nice there. The community almost makes me go out of my shell and say "hi".

im a ship 3 main, even queing for UQ and stuff your almost always find the instance fills pertty quickly which is awesome. i like that the alliances are actually really friendly towards eachother theres very little bitchy over competativateness from everyone we just all like to get along getting along, even if the econemy is broken an there are a lot of scalpers we just leave them hanging, there is a thriving commuity of cosplayers that are amazing
i have a character on ship 4 too and the community there is really cosy an everyone is soo willing to help when the ship is on the uptime and in the poulated blocks theres always conversation.
I'm in ship 3 and I love it everyone's so nice you can have conversations with people you can just team up with random people you can just have some fun with random people and the Clans are super supportive and cool I love ship 3
I've only ever played ship 4 so most of what you said it's news to me...I thought it was hard to find groups for rayford gorge and the like because pso2 is a niche game ^_^;
I play mostly solo and have found you definitely need to make an effort to get to know people here but community is generally very kind
end up picking ship 2 when the beta came out for PSO2 base. plus it was not full and just made since ship 1 was full lol.

I think it has more pros then cons compared to the other ships. With such a large player base on a single ship, you can find ALL KINDS of players, phasionistas, tryhards, casuals, semi-casual, solo player etc. With such a large variety of players, you can always find a group that suits you on Ship 2. :P
As a ship 3 player, I have literally ship hopped for a week just to buy fashion items I couldn't find on 3. Can't argue with your assessment.
Well I'm on ship 4 also a solo player I've no problem grinding alone and I'm totally fine with that. But I have to admit that ship 4 population so low kinda make me feel lonely when afk in the city xD
Im a solo ship 3 player that cares more about fashion/T&A than high end stats/gear. Its fine here.

I asked someone on ship 3 why they would call out a captan if they were just going to kill it and not wait a couple seconds. And they told me to stfu so ship 3 your are bound for random aggressive out burst but once every 2 yrs
I would suggest troll players to go to best ships 5 or 6. Sometimes they are in maintenance, but that's because Sega work hard to make them the best. It'll be worth the very short wait to get in, rather than to make the mistake of picking other ships.

Yeah, Ship 3 does seem nice. I cut ties with a friend that I had for almost half of my life about a month or so before playing NGS for the first time, so I'm glad to know that I won't have to initiate conversations and people can just walk up and start them up. I'm pretty excited to make new friends.

i was automatically been in ship 3 thorn since day 1.Few players i think but its a fun ship but many had max level players also the Sephiroth single wing is 4 million,now i am on grind for it,i already had 3 million only but i liked that accessory do much.

I have been playing this game almost 1.5k hours spent on Ship 3. Back when the PC version is up the first time in Microsoft store a lot of streamers and content creators are picking ship 2, and the image I got from it is there is a lot of strongly opiniated people there, especially people that migrated from JP PSO2 that tends to preach people to min max their build, I felt the atmosphere is too toxic for me. Meanwhile ship 1 the OG is full of XBox players, back then there are some issues with the cross platform systems, so my logical choice back then is the ship 3, the ship that mostly overlooked.
Skip a few months the steam version coming up and I was thinking we are finally going to get a massive influx of new players in ship 3, but then they added ship 4. As expected it is quickly filled mostly with Steam players, it is also the go to server for official promotions and sponsored streams, probably to fill up the new server. To be honest, at that moment as a ship 3 players I felt like we are that kid that everybody in class forgot that we ever existed.
Though the low profile of the server interestingly attracts a lot of unique people, various communities thrives here as people are less judgmental with each others. Because of that people felt more freely expressing themselves through their characters, which is why you will see extravagant creations, roleplayers, furries, etc. walking around stress free making the scene in ship 3 a quite unique experience. I have make peace with my choice, and I'm happy with this community where people accepting you for whatever your toon or fetish is.

I played pso 2 about hmm 3 months i think ? Last year first time. My pc hard disk unfortunatelly is bit too small to instal current 102 gb and run game smoothly low to medium setting in pc. So i thought to try pso 2 again ps 4 :). I personally feel that ship 3 might be for me the best, i am very casual player that have never played ps online type of games thought i have played phantasy star 4 in sega emulator. Ship 2 was also bit interesting sounding to me. i am social and casual player very new to game to boot ;) so your vid help me a lot.

All and all iv played around 800 hourd on the global and jp when I was younger. Iv been ship 2 since that was the English one in the original Japanese game. Infact I asked for a pc just for the game and the English patch
how much does it cost to transfer ship? is it free now? what item do we get to bring to new ship? what happen to my new char in ship 1 suddenly tranfer to ship 2, while my old char in ship 4 tranfer to ship 2 too. my old char mostly have his store max out. does he bring item in his storage too?
Transferring an existing character from one server to another will cost 700 AC (estimate $7).
Creating a fresh new character on another server cost 500 AC, you are allowed to create a total of 3 free characters on one account and any extra characters will have to be paid.
If you want to keep very important items before you transfer, you MUST have them in "Inventory" or "Character Storage", since it won't transfer items from any other storage. Anything you have listed in the personal shop will stay on that server as well, so make sure you take out your important items from the shop first before transferring, since the marketplace are separate with different price listings on different servers.
Anything related to communication, mail, friends and so on does not transfer either, since they are a separate entity within each ship. However, if you do decide to create a character again on the server you were originally at, your friends and mail should still be safe and intact.
Also, if you do have meseta (money) stored in bank, you need to take that out and keep it in your wallet, otherwise that money in the bank will stay on that server and won't follow you to another server. Casino Coins stay on each server as well and can't be transferred whatsoever, but if you kept any Casino Coin Pass tickets (items in your inventory), then that should be transferable at least.

SHIP 2 is pretty chill we meme a lot and PHASHION. I'm capped on all of classes just farming mats and meseta (I was away for 4 months ). My Alliance is pretty chill. We play both versions a lot .

Generally I don't like the largest servers in mmos cause they're usually full of toxicity, disgusting economy, bots and mercs. If this info still applies it sounds like ship 1 is the ship for me

Then I wouldn't have made the mistake of complaining on ship 4 about the open chat iis nothing but complaints and whining and no one is conversating about the game,and its in EVERY block i transfer to. You can only transfer gear to characters on the same ship. You have to spend irl money to be able to create an additional character on the same ship

You missed the main reason people go to ship 2. JP servers of base game herded us to ship 2. So it's kind of a nostalgic thing for some of us. Maybe that's just me though.

Don't listen to keroppi though, i'm a solo player and ship 4 has been pretty good to me, except for the fact that the playerbase on ship 4 is smaller than on other ships, so finding a party for end-game content usually requires a lot more advertising and asking around.
