James sounds like such a powerful read, definitely adding it to my TBR. I have been looking for Part of your World for a while now!! I can’t wait to read Just for the Summer, I have not heard a negative word about it. Everyone loves it!! I wish summer was longer too, but I got to read so many lovely books. I spent a good bit of time in the sun and got to see friends and family. Great summer all around. Congrats on your new job!! 💗

Thank you so much! I'm excited for the job!

Great video, Bonnie! I am loving the books you read this past month. I am going to pickup “When Among Crows” because it’s a quick read and I’ve been struggling getting into fantasy. I’m also going to grab “The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle” because it sounds so interesting!
My James review will be out next week. It was so dang good. Thank you for reading it along with me!

I hope you enjoy both!! I had never been much of a fantasy reader but I have slowly started to enjoy it a bit. I think When Among Crows is a good one for a quick read!
I look forward to hearing your thoughts!! I am so sorry I didn't get a full video on it!

It was such a good reading month! I honestly didn't say a TON about Never Lie, because most of my thoughts I couldn't share without spoilers. But......I loved it so much until I suddenly didn't anymore. lol But I know so many people love it so I might just be in the minority on my opinion on that one.

Not really a summer for me except the heat 😂 I really need to plan some vacation days! Excited for the different changes that'll happen in the future for you and your channel 🧡 I still think you can do a full review on James whenever you have time! I'd love to hear more of an in depth opinion from you. It's on my TBR for more of a literary pick for me but haven't gotten around to it yet 😅 AHHH I'm so excited for Just for the Summer after hearing your talking about it 😍😍 Also love Fake Dating trope hahha. But also hearing you say that there's not too much spice made me kind of sad 🫢 Because I'll know that I'm going to ENJOY the book and the characters so much... I just wanna see them together 💀💀
The sad music on the DNF 🤣🤣 I love it so much.
Favorite read for July?? So hard. Might be The Wicked King. And now, especially after this video?? Just for the Summer WILL be read for August.

I hope you can get a vacation sooon! I'll definitely think about still doing a full review on James! I'll add that to my brainstorming session when I get a chance to sit down and work on RUclips stuff in the next couple of weeks.
I'm so excited for you to read Just for the Summer!! I always feel a bit nervous really hyping up a book in case it doesn't hold up for someone else. But I really hope it does!! I really liked it. I was surprised about the spice level honestly! I expected more from her, but then it's been a while since I had read a book by her...so maybe I just didn't remember??
Hahaha my poor grammar book! It really did try so hard!
The Wicked King is Holly Black, right? I still haven't read anything by her!

What a great reading month!! Love that we both read Just For The Summer, I loved it so much! Before I Let Go is on my romance TBR. I’m glad you enjoyed Evelyn Hardcastle, it was definitely unique and well written, just too confusing and complex for me haha. Ooo, excited for you to read What the River Knows! 🎉 And I’m hoping to read Us Against You this fall/winter 😊

SO glad you loved Just for the Summer. It was such a great read. I might want to end up getting a physical copy of it to keep! Evelyn Hardcastle was rather complex. I enjoy stories like that, but definitely try to mix it in with other genres and complexity levels for a break. I'm so glad you also liked What the River Knows! I haven't started it yet but I'm hoping to this week! I look forward to hearing your thoughts on Us Against You as well!

@@BonnieNicoleWrites it was so good, and I would love a physical copy too! Yeah totally agree about Evelyn Hardcastle, guess it was just too much at the time for me haha. Hope you’ll enjoy What The River Knows! And I can’t wait to continue the Beartown series 😍

Congratulations on your new job! 🎉 That’s so great, I hope you’ll be happy in it! And I’m glad to hear you’ve had a good summer so far. It definitely goes by too quickly for my liking, but it made me a little more calm to know you had a good one 😅 (Don’t know how that works but I’m very happy for you! 😊)
You seem to have had good month in terms of reading as well! I like how you’re in the middle of different stuff and just reading what you feel like.
As for The Glamour of Grammar… this news makes no one sadder than me. It was the hero of all the nerdy books that tried so hard to be cool. But alas! It was not. Bye bye nerdy book, you tried your best. 🎻

Thank you so much, Ellen! I so appreciate your kind words.
Summer definitely goes way too fast. I wish the warm months were longer!
I was thinking about you when I was editing the Grammar part. You were always such a cheerleader for this poor book. I'm sure it felt the encouragement and was appreciative! It held in there for quite a while!

Sounds like a great reading month. I read The Trees, my first Percival Everett a little while ago and really enjoyed it so I really want to see if James lives up to the hype. Feel like I need to read Huckleberry Finn first, I’ve only read an abridged version when I was about 10, so not the full Twain experience. Congrats on the new job and best of luck.

I added The Trees to my TBR!. James was my first Percival Everett book. I'm curious to hear your thoughts on Huckleberry Finn as well!

I bought James on a whim at Costco- I've never read Huckleberry Finn- but this makes me more excited to read it- would you say I need to read the original first?

    • @BonnieNicoleWrites

I hope you enjoy it! I wouldn't say it's necessary to read the original, although it might provide some helpful context. Or perhaps even just reading an online synopsis.

Evelyn Hardcastle was worth all the confusion in the end.
My brain can't comprehend how one can be 20% into Mistborn. There is only unread and read for me and any of the Mistborn books.

Haha! I kind of surprised myself with that as well. I was initially so hooked I was surprised I didn't just keep devouring it rapidly. I am enjoying it though!
