I'm a 64 year old man who, prior to this year, had never watched a second of an WNBA game. Caitlin Clark changed that, and the current WNBA players need to embrace it. Take this as an opportunity to raise your sport's visibility.

Yep me too. Fascinating to witness the transition. I've watch the NBA since Dr. J. MJ showed us the air. Curry showed us the deep three. Thank Steph for this transition for the WNBA. If you can dribble, and pass really well and step back three you're contemporary. I particularly enjoy watching the womyn in the league deal with this phenomena. So many thoughts on the subject. . .

This whole WNBA thing going on is so weird for me. I never watched a game before CC going. But what was so weird… yesterday I was so happy when I saw the videos of Diana Taurasi and CC hug and the words they said about each other. All day when I thought about it… it made me smile. Humans love good things. We Love, love basically. And I wish I had CC’s calmness and professionalism when I was her age. Even now. She has grace, professionalism and taking time with kids after the game to sign autographs, etc… wow. And also I give kudos to Diana for coming to the table in a generous of spirit way. I know how it feels when you’re on top… and then new generation comes in. It’s like gravity. What goes up must come down. And CC saying she looked up to Diana one of the greats…. And I believe she meant it….was a great way to for Diana to let her guard down.

I admit it will be more difficult for woman pushing some sort of agenda but if you've been in the league a few years and don't feel you've gotten your due, you might consider how you present yourself to the paying public. Your part of an entertainment industry.....act accordingly.

Caitlin's attitude toward opponents and officials who may seem kind of hostile reminds me of what my coach would say to me when I experienced that 50 some years ago. When the opponents and the officials seem hostile and aggressive I was instructed to remember "We are hear to make friends and not enemies." We worked hard at that as a team and it paid off in the long run. The news outlets started start commenting on our sportsmanship the refs would say "thank you" when we retrieved a ball for them. The other players appreciated complements to them or in interviews. We still had a to defend ourselves when things got "juicy" a very few times but each year at the state tournament we were treated fairly. The guy I guarded in the championship game at the state tournament my senior year became my boss for eight years at the end of my working career 40 years later. I think Caitlin is starting to reap the benefits of a good attitude already. I hope the worst is over for her.

Taurasi got trashed for what she said but she meant no malice. She is a titan of the game and she greeted her heir apparent with a smile, a hug, and showered her with accolades after the game even though her team lost. They were even joking around during the game. Tip of the hat to DT.

@@Kokobazonkos stick to GTAV. CC22 wasn't even the leading scorer in the game. It wasn't DT3 vs CC22. It was the Mercury vs the Fever/Flu. You Taylor Swift-like CC22 fans are insufferable. Make fools of yourselves every time you post some dumb comment.

Taurasi is an old jealous dinosaurus. She attacks a 22-yr old fresh-out-of-college rookie who has brought in an unprecedented level of attention to the WNBA with unbelievable viewership and sponsorship with TV deals... which also benefits all players and coaches in the league! Taurasi is THE prime example of .... old does NOT mean WISE!!!

CC got me to look and I maybe hooked just to see how Miss Clark can survive the Rookie year. Many of the other players are too full of themselves, grow up.
