This is the stupidest thing I've ever seen. Floating ice has already displaced all the water it's going to. 7/8 of it it is already underwater. If it melts it won't raise the water level at all. Most of the ice in the world is already floating in the ocean so all of it can melt and the water level will stay the same.

Sure there may be 5000 years until *all* the ice melts, but with more ice melting 5-10 years from now, 20-30 years from now, we'll have no Miami, no New Orleans, no certain parts of New York, etc. Our children and grandchildren won't have the luxury of seeing amazing cities and parts of the world that we did. Key animals that are incredibly important pieces of the food chain will die out. Mosquitos will thrive given the increase in sea level leading to more diseases.
