We were taught in school in the 70's that the next global ice age is almost here and we needed to prepare immediately before the world freezes.
And I am still preparing. lol! If you are hot as long as you have fluids generally you are okay. But freezing temps. and below and you and plants struggle considerably, if survive at all.
Yea and in the 70s we didn't have the internet and quantum computers and just so much more technological leaps. Also in the 80s we have the documentation that the fossil fuel industry discovered they were warming the planet and created several disinformation campaigns.

BlaZe Fu J joke
BlaZe Fu J what kid would say that?
The real tragedy
Jorge Padua no it's no global warming is fake, it's just a phase of the earth just like the ice age
This wouldn't be as simply as raising water levels on coast lines.
The geological rebound effect from releasing the weight of ice caps pressing down upon the earth would have profound influence on magma and tecnitic plates. This would also effect the gulf streams and oceanic river systems.
Correct. And the seasons...something like a cool breeze where is that going to be? snuffed out that's where.
*Tectonic plates. Tecnitic isn't even a word.
@@DrachenGothik666 Yet you got it and here you are deflecting into irrelevance
Did you have anything to add on earths plasticity in recent geological history?
Or in its quick regurgitating turnover?
Which has no doubt happened in the past
Everytime I hear someone talk about ice melting on the planet flooding it makes me think that they believe the only way the water will rise it is if the ice melts. The shifting of the tectonic plates the shallowing of the ocean floor would raise levels. The sky is falling, the sea is rising, the Chinese and Russians are attacking, and here I am without any Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.
Not only that but, the tectonic plates float over a liquid mantle and core. Our continents probably looked different during the ice age due to the absolute weight of the ice causing a teetering effect on our plates.
If all the ice melted on earth my kitchen floor would be wet from the water coming out of my freezer
my coke would taste watery.

Meanwhile, I just saw another video about major rivers starting to dry up.
This is primarily due to over-usage by big populations. That's what's happening to the Colorado River. And this has nothing to do with sea levels rising since rivers are fed by snowfall. A much warmer planet would likely have a lot more rain, but it's not nearly warm enough for that kind of global tropical climate yet.

imagine just swimming under water and there's a whole empty city there
Research "three gorges dam" in China. It's the largest dam ever built. They had to demolish and sacrafice hundreds of entire ancient and modern cities.
sky scrapers up to twenty, thirty stories high were left to be submerged hundreds of (feet)/(meters) under the rivers waters. This was planned and done so ships could pass over the under water cities safely.
only the spray painted red symbol “tsai” marked the buildings that would be torn down and submerged by the massive Three Gorges Dam. It's an interesting subject of architecture and imagining cities under water.

What would happen if the sea level fell by this much in 5 thousand years, instead? What would the maps look like?
The Arctic Ocean is warming up, icebergs are growing scarcer and in some places the seals are finding the water too hot according to a report to the Commerce Department yesterday from the Consulate at Bergen, Norway. Reports from fishermen, seal hunters and explorers all point to a radical change in climate conditions and hitherto unheard of temperatures in the Arctic zone. Exploration expeditions report that scarcely any ice has been met as far north as 81 degrees 29 minutes. Soundings to a depth of 3,100 meters showed the gulf stream still very warm. Great masses of ice have been replaced by moraines of earth and stones, the report continued, while at many points well known glaciers have entirely disappeared. Very few seals and no white fish are found in the eastern Arctic, while vast shoals of herring and smelts which have never before ventured so far north, are being encountered in the old seal fishing grounds. Within a few years it is predicted that due to the ice melt the sea will rise and make most coast cities uninhabitable………This was from November 2 , 1922, as reported by the AP and published in The Washington Post 100 years ago.
Why do so many wealthy democrats buy multi-million dollar estates on islands in the Atlantic?

Socialism is defined as a philosophy where thieves organize a takeover of a nation, kill all the rich people, take their money, and spend it on themselves, for the greater good of the nation, and lie about all the ice melting.
Melting sea ice cannot raise sea level. Melting land ice can. But to meet the predictions of sea level rise it would take a slab of ice as tall as a 12 story building covering all of earth's landmass to meet those predictions.
@@arnoldfrackenmeyer8157 During the last glacial maximum, glaciers built up to several miles thick in the Northern hemisphere and that was enough to lower sea levels considerably. Some glaciers today on Antarctica are three miles thick.
