Nice machine, I have an '84 4x4 1210 and it pulls a 48" box blade or a landscaping rake very well. Fantastic for maintaining a longer gravel driveway. Good luck with the sale and to the next owner!
Thanks, I’ve already done the hard work and the tractors ready to work. If I can just find someone that wants to pay more than $1500. I’m firm at the $3500, everyone wants 4wd and a loader LOL. They are overlooking a great deal.
It works really well but if you can find a standard one model instead of the hydrostatic version would be best. Mine has been fine other than having to top off the hydraulic fluid bc it leaks some from the old rubber hoses. Depends on what you’re trying to do, the hydrostatic is perfect for lawn mowing where you want you go forward and revered a lot around the house and trees but not the greatest for climbing hills while brush hogging, the radiator gets clogged fast too cutting tall grass so I have to clean that every so often so it stays cool, it does the job great for what it is. Some parts like for 4x4 are hard to get I hear
I want to start a small property business and I need a tractor I found a 1220 with a. Loader and a 3pt mower 4 wheel drive and I think it’s a hydro for $7500 is it worth it?
@@mrdfarms9373 it’s got 638 hours and it’s in good condition the mower is in good shape it’s a belly mower not a 3pt the rear PTO looks to have never been used all the screens are still in no dents no paints missing or scratches
I can not stand Kubota hydro controls. Some people love them more power to them. When the local school district I worked for bought four BX series tractors, that is when the hate started. All operators were at least 55 years old. They were not beat on just mowing grass and sidewalk snow removal. Deck wheels broke off of two. One developed a rear axle leak. I hated the hydraulics, they do not work very good at idle. And the local dealer really put it to district on replacement parts costs. I know Kubota has a huge following, just my experience.
Yep, the treadle pedal wasn’t one of their greatest designs. The old B7100/7200 series had a good pedal system. The BX series 🤦🏻♂️, I’ll take what I got or an older B series.
I can't say enough about the made in Japan tractors. After completely disassembling a 1991 Ford 1220 (Shibaura), I am extremely impressed by the engineering, materials and workmanship. It's hard to believe they could make them for the original selling prices.@@haywoodgiles713
I have a 1210 that I bought with a bad front ring and pinion gear. I have finally given up ever finding the parts and use it as a 2wd. Great tractor even as a 2wd, it has a loader and I only have 2000 in it. The parts for these are pretty unavailable.
@Brian Higgins try Long Lane Tractor www.lltractor.com they have what you seek. They are my goto for the Ford 1210 or any Ford tractors, many salvage tractors in the yard. You can check the inventory online.
I am finishing up restoring a 1991 Ford 1220 with about 1700 hard hours. I have been EXTREMELY impressed at how available parts have been, including front wheel drive parts. Messicks.

Pretty good price for a clean, low hour machine. Lots of short comings with these though. I guess you found that out.
Great tractor for a couple of flat acres, it will mow with no issues.

Nice, put a Garrett turbocharger on it, oversized injectors and beef up the cam, overlobe the valves and your have it made
I'm trying to finde a 1210 just like that because my grandad had one
Keep looking @johndeereman 24 there’s a lot of well used equipment but then there are the gems that appear out of nowhere.
One thing to keep in mind parts are nearly impossible to find
Is it on sale?
Not anymore, took it off the market. Everyone wanted to offer 1k for it, for that price it will get used on my property.
